Yes, i killed him a few times, using the tactics described on previous page. And you are right, it is the most unforgiving fight when trying to solo MC. The damage on pet might become an issue when you have to switch to viper, and in addition to that you have to worry about your own threat on Golemagg all the time (since, like the tactics described, you can't have your pet on Golemagg full-time).
As far as staying alive on Golemagg; keep trying to position yourself in such a way that you are 'just' out of range of his pyroblast. It is weird though, at times he won't fire a pyro at you for minutes, and then all of a sudden he decides you are in range again. A simple repositioning should solve that; 3/3 Hawk Eye should be enough to outrange his pyroblasts. Just experiment some more with positioning, making sure your pet is between Golemagg and you, and that your pet is facing all 3 enemies (obviously for avoidance reasons).

So it seems the "fixed" Mandokir. Raptor doesnt despawn, and if he does Mandokir just resets ;(

Yes. I did him twice this weekend (crazy resets). I couldn't bug the raptor. I always got teleported back to the boss from the platform.
I just killed the raptor, went up the stairs and jumped on the platform. No more teleports, and I didn't get charged/feared.

I did ZG yesterday and had no problems, and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Other than that, I'm not sure that you both are talking about the same thing, one tried to despawn it, the other just evade bugging him?

Odd - he evaded for me just a few hours ago. That’s strange too as I never try to bug out the raptor, it’s just a waste of time when with 2 set T5 my pet can comfortably tank both. It happened quite by accident too; I pulled as usual, let my pet grab them then ran up the stairs and jumped on to the ledge but accidentally tabbed in to the raptor and tagged it a few times when he started evade bugging. Switched back to Bloodlord and within a minute or so the raptor was attacking my pet again.

I know this has been addressed before but I simply cannot beat the third boss in H MgT solo.
The suggested tactic posed earlier in the thread was to kite the bosses back through the instance and pick them apart as you go. They never seem to separate appropriately for me though no matter how much of an effort I make to freeze trap or snare them. I always end up getting stunned or feared at a bad time and the enemy gets heals off and then I get overwhelmed.
A friend suggested leading into combat with double snake trap to keep the bosses busy and for the hope that the added poison effects would give me a pleasant edge; but this never seems to work out well in practice. I was wondering if anyone else had given this a try.
At this point I can't even decide which sort of pet to throw at that particular fight. My spider seems more and more like a good plan to go with the kiting plan but I just feel like I'm missing something obvious. The rest of the instance is cake up until here.

Aeolyn: I have been using a bit more unorthodox tactic at soloing heroic MgT. Granted I have not done it for a while, but the 5 or so times I did solo the place, I had very little trouble with the third boss. I am not trying to kite them far away. Instead I just check what adds there are and reset until I get only one melee, the naga MS warrior (3 first times I was just lucky, after that I've been resetting the place a few times).
Before I start, I place my freezing trap between me and them and wait for the cooldown. At the pull the naga has so far every time trapped himself, and I kill the priestess as fast as I can. I have also included Aimed Shot in my solo build, since the MS debuff does help with any heals, especially if the shaman is there too (and it helps in ZG which is the other place I spec to solo). Keep the naga trapped as much as possible and kill the casters one by one. Casters don't want to usually come close, just the naga who charges in, making trapping easy.
At the time I was last soloing, I used a gorilla for obvious reasons. Now I am using a bear. I haven't done MgT since 3.1, but I do not see it being more difficult, only less, what with the new Glyph of Mending to help keep the pet alive.
This tactic obviously is highly dependant on what combination of adds there are, and I do not know if it works with the other melee than the naga, who really likes to charge. But I would think it is worth the try if kiting doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

They did change something in ZG. You can get it to work the old way still but it is more of a hit and miss to get it to work.
That being said, it is still very doable even with the raptor not despawning. Start out as normal and when you drop down on the ledge the raptor will run to where you pet is. If you allow the pet to hold aggro on the boss while you hold threat on the Raptor, the raptor will just stand there looking at you and evade. If you FD you will loose the raptors aggro to the pet. All you have to do is shoot the raptor a few times to grab it back. When he evades go back to boss. Just make sure you dont pull the boss aggro and all is fine. WHen the boss goes down, just jump down and kill the raptor.
Loot, be disappointed, and tell all the other mobs you will see them in a few days.

Start off with a snake trap. Pick the easiest target to dps them down, and burn them. By the time the adds get to you they'll be playing with snakes. Drop another snake trap and finish burning the first add down.
At this point its relatively easy. Keep mend pet up, and if you get aggro again, just mend pent, feign death until the trap is up again, and another snake trap to keep them busy.
Snake traps make this so much easier. As for pets, i just used a standard dps pet. I can see how a spider might be really nice though. But I think i'd still prefer a high dps pet to do some damage while I'm FD'd.

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but I found an easy way to just fight Main priest guy on the Tiger boss, been doing it for few weeks. clear the 2 trash pack, set pet on archway (door) passive, MD + run to boss, just shoot the main priest and Feign Death. Others will reset, while the priest will run to pet. From there, is easy tank + spank.

Is there anyway of soloing H MGT without 2 pieces of Tier 5? no one on my server wants to run TK or SSC. should i stack PVP gear(Stamina) or just nuke in survival?. im particularly having trouble with vexallus with a turtle pet and my normal Ulduar 10 gear.

The mend pet glyph is all you need in my opinion for MGT herioc. Yust make sure you nuke Vexallus down fast if you decide to destroy the sparks yourself. I solo it with a BM build though. You can always use your pet cooldowns if can't catch up with the healing but for myself, I hardly had problems regarding pet survivalbility.

I havn't found it necessary to bug the raptor at all. When it works, great, but I've yet to have any trouble fighting him straight up either. I was able to heal a gorilla through the enrage after the raptor died, and a ferocity pet with Lick Your Wounds makes it even easier. My gear is about half Ulduar25 and half Naxx25, and I do not have 2PC T5.
I'm gonna have to check out your strat for the Tiger boss sneakysam. I've gotten pretty good at doing that fight with a Gorilla for Pummel and just interrupting all of her heals, but it can still be a PITA. Your way sounds like cake.

I also found HMgT manageable without tier 5. I used a turtle and a mix of pvp/naxx 25 gear when I first started. If you have your pet kill all of the sparks then you can sit back and not worry much about them, and you also get to see a very, very big pet by the end of the fight.
For the third boss, I typically respec back to my raid survival or marks build. As survival, you can trap one, sting another, and burn priestess down before anything bad happens.

Got any pointers? I can never make it bug out so I"m on the ground, killing the ratpro first and then the boss - but I have a horrible time with the boss's charges - the last time I tried it took me three tries and when I finally killed him I was at like 5% health.
I'm more like you, I've got naxx 25/uldar gear, but no 2pc t5 - but I go with a crocolisk all healy/tank spec...
Its not an issue outside of his charges - and whenever I"ve tried the platform method he's never bugged out and always kept charging
Any advice is much appreciated - only frickin mount I've wanted since day one..stupid thing won't drop!

There are several ways you can do the Raptor boss;
1) Just do it like most raids did it at lvl 60; clear the trash first, then take on the boss and raptor. Kill Raptor first, his sunders will stack on your pet which increases damage done to pet dramatically at some point. Once Raptor dies the real fun begins as you know; enraged Mandokir with a Guillotine move that hits (not crits) for 10k, a move he only does if you keep healing/damaging as he 'watches' you.
This is naturally the hardest way to solo Mandokir (fears, charges, 5k guillotine hits if you aren't careful), but it is possible, i myself used to solo raptor boss a few times before i read about the following bug(s).
2) Kill the speaker, Mandokir will come down. Have your pet grab both raptor and troll while you yourself run up the stairs, after which you jump to the middle level of the temple. Once you are here, you can choose to kill the raptor first (removing stacking sunders on pet, but making Mandokir enrage), or let Raptor hit the pet and simply kill Mandokir. You can even choose to make the raptor go into evade mode, by shooting at it with pet only building threat on the troll. Whatever you do, do not overaggro on the troll; he will teleport you down with all the consequences of that (fears/charges).
3) An even greater exploit/bug: same as nr 2, but this time once you are in position, call back your pet, making it teleport next to you. Both Mandokir and his raptor will stay downstairs evading, looking at your pet (It's a pet, not a player, so Mandokir can't teleport him downstairs). After 20 seconds Mandokir teleports to your spot at the middle level (???) mounted on his raptor. You can immediately attack him and only he will appear, the raptor is gone. Jump down from the middle level, while your pet stays there with the troll. Run halfway up the stairs, and dps the troll from here, where you don't have to worry about fears/charges.
I can also confirm the exploit for the tiger boss works: pet standing in the archway, the entrance to the little field (I have yet to find the exact spot). Misdirect on pet, shoot the main troll (he will briefly target you, so will his adds), Feign Death when they reach you; if done properly the adds will run back but The'kal will run to your pet, completely trivializing p1. No heals, no pet stuns, no resurrections.
Naturally Tiger boss can easily be done the normal way, but for those hunters who are having troubles with this encounter, they can try this way too. It also means (accompanied with the Raptor exploit) you can do the two ZG mount bosses in your regular raid spec, and don't need to spend your dual spec on a BM spec.

I havn't managed to get the Thekal glitch to work yet. Is there an exact spot that your pet has to be, or is it just tempermental and requires numerous tries?

For Thekal, I cleared the first area of course, then parked my pet (on passive) at the top of the ramp under the first arch you entered before all the tigers. Then, I went to the second arch, MD to pet, shot only Thekal and when Thekal & his adds got to me, I feigned, the adds returned to the tent and Thekal continued towards my pet, but stopped halfway between the two arches. I then sent my pet to attack him & that begun the next phase. Pretty easy take down after that.

Keep your distance, it hasn't got a very long range. Your pet can keep em locked so you can burn them down one by one.

It has a specific spot that I've found out by trying. Sometimes it seems that the spot that worked ain't working
on another go.
More important detail that I noticed was that if I had anything at all that somehow buffed or linked me and my pet,
Zath and Lor'Khan ran to my pet too along with Thekal after MD.
"Anything" here means 2 piece T5 bonus, Spirit Bond, Mend Pet etc.
I suggest you guys that had trouble with the encounter try it out without above mentioned "buffs" and see if that helps.

Went to ZG again today, did both bosses as Marksman instead of the standard BM tanking spec (dodge/hp talents). I did use a tanking pet + 2t5. Both exploits worked first time right away; pet was parked at the 2nd gate (the inner gate) of Thekals 'room'.
So, in other words, i did not have Spirit Bond or Mend Pet, but i did have 2t5 and Misdirect naturally. Thekal and his adds always seem to ignore MD at first, but once you FD the boss runs to pet, the adds run back for some bizarre reason.

I do a couple things, one, I keep my distance (as Shandara mentions) and two, I use my SV spec until I get to the bosses, so I freeze trap one of the axe throwers and wyvern sting the other. Let the tigers come to my pet and AE them down. Usually have all or most down before the freeze trap breaks. Then burn them down, if one is getting annoying throwing axes, I trap or sting him again, but thats not usually needed. When I get to the group with three axe throwers I do the same but concentrate on the one not CC'd and drop a snake trap to keep most of the tigers on me busy that my gorilla didn't pick up.
I haven't tried parking my pet at the second (inside) arch yet, but I've had no problems parking him at the first arch and doing the FD bug under the inside arch. Each time Thekal runs to the middle area (field) between the two arches & begins the next phase as my pet attacks him. I don't have the 2t5 pieces and haven't had a problem in BM spec, even with spirit bond active.
