The fuss wasn't about the raptor, but about the fact some people had issues with Mandokir teleporting them downstairs. This tactic where you make the raptor despawn is new to me, and yeah not needed at all to kill the raptor boss. Before i found out you could stand on middle level of his temple and ignore the charge/fear, i used to do Mandokir in the traditional way (like at lvl 60), stand down there and just take the charges and fears.

This Thread makes me wish I didn't shard my T5.

Wieeeeerd. The forums seems to have eaten my edit from a few days ago.. What I had added was that shooting for on average, 3-5k crits, the healing that my pet would receive would certainly be highly beneficial, especially against the harder hitting mobs in Heroics.

Has anyone got any data on healing done from the set bonus?

Ouch, i knew that in addition to sentimental value, 2T5 would come in handy in the future, since 15% of our damage done scales with our level/gear naturally. Imagine us going into 10 man Naxx/Ulduar at lvl 100 (if anyone still plays the game ofcourse). Perhaps Blizz will one day change this set bonus and give us a simple talent which heals our pets for damage done (similar to warlocks, they have a talent early in the Demo tree).

We can hope... and hope... and hope. I doubt it will happen as long as our pets have so many selfheal abilities available to them plus a non-channeled heal from us (unlike Warlocks). They want us to take active part in their welfare, not just having them be fire-and-forget more or less.

I'm able to clear H:MgT without T5. I stack stamina using 6 pieces of PvP gear (Deadly Chest, Gloves, Legs. Hateful Helm. WG Boots & Belt. All with +Stam enchants & gems), Flask of Stoneblood, stamina scrolls and food buffs. I use a 56/0/15 build on myself, and typical tenacity build on my Turtle. I end up somewhere in the neighborhood of 28k health, and my pet 26k.

Really no use in Flask of Stoneblood, unless you only want to boost your own HP, the pet only benefits from Stamina, and Stoneblood gives HP.

Or am I completely wrong?

*gonna try H:MgT later and see if I can do it withouth 2xT5 aswell

H:Mgt is easy to do solo without 2T5 if you have gear at least somewhere around what I do.
My post on Page 8 has my stats that I did it with.

The last couple of pages have information on how to do it.

Depending on the combo you get on the 3rd boss it could be an annoying fight.
I generally seem to get the MS Warrior, Monk, Mage and Hunter

Golemagg & Sulfuron

So I gave soloing a round for the first time this expansion. I'm pleased with my results for the most part.

I'm using a warp stalker, and the warp bonus effect is really nice for allowing mend pet to catch up on healing for the few fights that my pet does actually get low.

Heroic Magister's Terrace was easy as was most of Molten Core. The problem I'm having is with Golemagg and Sulfuron.

Golemagg I do well for the first roughly 30%, but at that point Magma Splash has stacked up high enough that it's impossible for me to keep my pet up even with 2t5 and the new mending. My question here is what do you do to counteract this, or is this not a tank and spank like the rest of the instance was? I'm looking @ the people who've claimed to have solo'd him already.

As for Sulfuron, now that Viper Sting doesn't drain very well, I'm having the issue of dying very slowly to shadow word: pain before I can eventually run them OOM from healing/draining. Has anyone come up with a new tactic for this?

Other than this, I was met with great success. I brought in a healer for those two fights (priest, so he could mana burn on Sulfuron) and then went back to soloing for Domo.

Rag the sons slaughtered my pet, so I'm still working on a strategy for them. I couldn't seem to get them to despawn with FD.

Those two fights though, are they still possible post 3.1?

Unfortunately I can not help to much on soloing Sulf and Gole as I havn't had the 2T5 to try those myself.

Sulf:
I assume running out of 60yd range to try bandage on Sulf doesn't work?

Gole:
Could you try timing a couple of distracting shots from long range to keep him running long enough for the debuff to fade?
(Same thing as we do on Kurinnaxx)

Ragnaros:
I keep pet on passive/stay right under Rags and direct him to attack myself so that he will not try save me from sons and get onto their agro list.

When it comes time for the spawns I let a few spawn, then just as the first nearly melee's me I cast deterrence wait until thats about to drop then I FD.
The reason for that is that they only seem to despawn if they agro'd onto you which takes them a few seconds for them all to do.

Depending on your positioning some of them will not agro even using Deterrence. (I stood here infront of that rock)
If you are lucky these ones will stay put the entire fight, if not they might agro randomly later, especially if your pet does a stupid move and gets close to them somehow.

You're probably right.

I support this build. It lets you solo (without 2xt5) anything from 60 raids to 70 heroics (and some raid bosses), 80 elites (Chillmaw anyone?), etc.

I don't run around with all that gear, I hate taking up that much bag space. But I do have the feral tanking staff from 25 naxx and a few pieces of deadly gear (I throw on commendation of Kael'thas even).

This is just to make sure the bats don't run past my bear (Mostly because I am to lazy to turn off Swipe/Stomp I guess).
Whenever the bats come out just feign death and they will vanish.

Use Viper Sting every time it is up but do not DPS her.
It is important that her mana is burnt BEFORE she gets below 50%. If you notice her starting to get to low because of your pet just put him on stay and passive.

After she is out of mana it becomes a tank and spank fight (Keep draining her regened mana while your DPS).
Your pet should have a good agro lead so just lay into her and she will die soon enough.

Why do we mana burn her before pushing her past 50% you ask?
Because once she has past 50% she summons bomber bats which will kill in time. Thus her Healing after that is bad mmkay?
So I went back tonight after my dismal failure some time ago. I wanted ot see if I could copy this.
What happened was that I forgot to stop my pet from attacking and so even with a mouseover macro for Viper Sting (which btw is awesome on other fights too for the regen) her health drained too fast since each drain caused an autoattack as well. I thought autoshoot required a targeted enemy. Anyway, because of the bat I didn't notice until she stood there in Troll form. Damn... I knew it was dangerous now, so I just gave it all I had. All cooldowns, full burn. Argh... heal incoming. Gorilla to the rescue! It worked, and she was by now pretty low. When she cast her curse and then Mind Flay I knew I was saved. When she began the last desperate heal Pummel was read again and I got her.
I'm sure it was my luck that she had to cast her other abilities.
But perhaps there is a trigger that requires her to cast all abilities at least once before she can begin a new rotation, that makes her vulnerable to a hard burn in Troll form if you can get her down in two heals.

Didn't know that mouseovers could fire an autoshot.
Generally to stop that just be moving then you fire the Viper Sting so no auto can fire.

Nice work by the Gorilla

Icey what 70 raid bosses can you take down without 2T5?
Never going to get 2T5 myself and want something new to do other then more AQ20 clearing

In MC, I assume you would need help with clearing the doggies before Magmadar? I tried tonight and while I could get to him without aggro his fears eventually sent me down there.

But I'm glad I found the value in a mouseover Viper Sting. Could come in handy on multi-boss encounters like Iron Council.

You can easily solo the dog packs without 2T5.
As long as the dogs are all in front of your pet and you keep evening out their HP (Either though shots or changing the pets target).
Once your pets got a good lock on them all just volley them to death, stopping occasionally to even out their HP

My Mend Pet is more then able to keep him up as long as I do nothing stupid.
The only things I have not been able to solo (without 2T5) in MC are Domo, Garr, Golemagg and Sulfurion.
