Gole:
Could you try timing a couple of distracting shots from long range to keep him running long enough for the debuff to fade?
(Same thing as we do on Kurinnaxx)

Ragnaros:
I keep pet on passive/stay right under Rags and direct him to attack myself so that he will not try save me from sons and get onto their agro list.

When it comes time for the spawns I let a few spawn, then just as the first nearly melee's me I cast deterrence wait until thats about to drop then I FD.
The reason for that is that they only seem to despawn if they agro'd onto you which takes them a few seconds for them all to do.

Depending on your positioning some of them will not agro even using Deterrence. (I stood here infront of that rock)
If you are lucky these ones will stay put the entire fight, if not they might agro randomly later, especially if your pet does a stupid move and gets close to them somehow.
I don't have 3pc t1 left to try the 60yd mend pet, I'll have to give that a try when I get 3 pieces again.

For golemagg, the debuff is 30 seconds, so even paired with Deterrence, it's not long enough. That was the first idea that I thought of too.

And the info on Rag helps, I was Feigning as soon as they spawned, not waiting for them to get to me. I got help for the last few this week, so I'll have to wait till next week to give you feedback. I'll probably Fraps it also for visual record and some reference for areas that I have trouble with for here.

You can just single target them all low (sub 20%) making sure your pet switches targets when you do, and then volley them 2-3 times (depending on gear) and they will all die easily within the time limit.

Pretend I typed something witty.

What I was wondering is could you:
-Switch pet onto a dog so he stays put
-Shoot Golemagg from max range
-Run away with him chasing you see if you can keep distance long enough for him to turn back to pet.
-Let him get most the way then shoot him again and repeat or deterrence this time if needed.

In fact letting him cast it on you with deterrence would be better then running away the last time, so that he might not cast it again right away once on your pet.

Generally to stop that just be moving then you fire the Viper Sting so no auto can fire.

Icey what 70 raid bosses can you take down without 2T5?
Never going to get 2T5 myself and want something new to do other then more AQ20 clearing
Attumen can be done if you bounce him between you and your pet and help tank...not all bosses are worth so much effort though =p

You don't need to kill the corehound packs for Magmadar, you can walk past them and engage him without aggroing them.

Or better yet, use your pet to pull him to the very other corner of the room (where you usually kill Lucifron).

How do you deal with the fears then? My pet doesn't resist all of them and Mend Pet doesn't remove it quickly enough. Maybe it's my bad luck but I always seem to aggro to the packs.

I tried to do that first... and I manage to get him to about 60% then the second fear I got hit by sent me right at a dog. End of that encounter. I even tried to stay as far away from the packs, but that fear lasts long enough ot send you to a pack regardless of positioning.

Lucifron... Well, I killed him between the packs. Sure it was tight, but I couldn't get him away from them. Every time I tried to MD him at hte end of his patrol (or even a little further in), he drew the nearest pack with him. So where do you pull him from?

If you're fighting Magmadar where he stands, you position your pet in the corner that's the furthest away from the corehound packs, put it on stay and pull it back to it's spot after every fear. To avoid getting feared in a pack you equip your PvP-Trinket and use it whenever you get close to one. Once of twice per fight it will fail, run out of their aggro range and FD, the corehounds should reset unless your pet is too close.

Also, there's some kind of "ramp" to the right side where you can position yourself, where you'll never get feared in the packs. It's annoying because you often get feared "outside" and get stuck, but I've always managed to get back. Here's an old screen of that, check the positions on the minimap:
http://www.yetnet.ch/marble/geist/Wo...808_043735.jpg

Avoid getting feared in something is the actual difficulty of Magmadar (if you skip the trash, I actually couldn't kill the corehound packs when I was there the first time so I did avoid them). However I've found somewhat of a solution. You can stand on the other side of the room (in front of the corehound packs) and pull him with your pet using Eyes of the Beast, hit him once then cancel EotB to make the pet despawn. He will come for the player and won't add the corehounds. There's a lot more space on this side if you position your pet in the corner that's furthest away, making the fight so much more comfortable.

Just when you enter Lucifron's room coming from the imps, put pet on stay/passive, MD and when he's closest shoot his left add, not himself, to pull him without adding the packs.

I've been following this thread for a while, and just like many of you, I've been soloing MC for Thunderfury bindings. Geddon is pretty easy, but there hasn't been much talk about Garr. Garr is definitely not trivial, and I did manage to solo him a few minutes ago. Here's what I did:

Pet: Warpstalker - Warp kind of owns at keeping your pet alive here. I tried it with a bear last week, and every time he went in, he died nearly instantly. Warping in at the beginning at least allows you to ramp up a little bit of damage to heal your pet.
Gear: Tier 5 bonus (shoulders and legs) - absolute must. I really don't see this as possible without it considering the damage. Otherwise I wore my normal raid gear (current armory).
Pre pull: Misdirection -> Intimidation -> drink. Mana is TIGHT, so every little bit helps. I also marked one Firesworn and focused another so I can easily switch to my second target after the first dies.
Pull: Start off with single target shots burning your MD on your first target. After it wears off, hit your mend pet. At 50% pet hp, multishot. This will most likely pull 1-2 mobs off your pet and onto you. The good thing about this is it reduces your pet's incoming damage by a little bit. Don't FD; keep them on you. When I got low on hp, I popped an old-world rejuvenation potion. In the future, I might get a few powerful rejuvenation potions made just to insure a victory, but it's up to you.
Fight: With two Firesworn on you, your goal is to kill at least two firesworn on your pet (preferably three). Keep mend pet up since it'll probably get dispelled a lot. If you're getting low on hp after your pot, FD the two mobs back to your pet and wait for thunderstomp to go off once. You need the thunderstomp to ensure those two mobs don't come right back to you after you get up and mend pet ticks (very important, killed me a few times).

After that, it's easymode as long as you can keep up the heals. Use single target attacks to kill the firesworn and use multishot sparingly and only to heal your pet if he dips low. I didn't use volley at all since I ran into aggro problems with FD being on cooldown.

There are a few things that could have made this easier. Purification potions, a healthstone, and bigger rejuvenation potions. I might also make a video of this next week for fun. Good luck getting your bindings!

Chillmaw is soloable with "old" T7-gear from Naxx/Sarth and Malygos (and of course 2pT5). As a pet I use my wolf either, with my default SV-raiding talent-specc.

Just nuke on Chillmaw auntil you aggro him, (keep up Mend pet) let him fly to you and then FD, your pet should have 100% hp now and the first of the three adds will spawn -> Wyvern Sting. lay a freezing trap for the second add.
and keep attacking Chillmaw for the T5-healing. I mostly end up with 60% hp when chillmaw dies.
now you can face the three adds.

no special bm-specc
no tenacity-pet
no max-stamina/pvp-gear

just 2pT5

Is MC really that easy that every boss has already been soloed by a hunter? (of course with bm-specc, max-stamina-gear and turtle)

Golemagg I do well for the first roughly 30%, but at that point Magma Splash has stacked up high enough that it's impossible for me to keep my pet up even with 2t5 and the new mending. My question here is what do you do to counteract this, or is this not a tank and spank like the rest of the instance was? I'm looking @ the people who've claimed to have solo'd him already.
Magma Splash is an on-attack proc. Simply tell your pet to stop attacking and it will go away.

Oh wow, shows how long it's been since I actually did MC. That should make this much more doable.

ZG soloing

I didnt know where else to ask this but here goes...

I usually do ZG every 3 days. my lockout expired this past Friday and I didnt go till Saturday. So Sunday morning I log on to do dailies and just happened to check my raid info tab....ZG wasnt there. I started wondering if I had dreamed that i did it, but i checked my raid tracker and sure enough I had done it yesterday. So I went to ZG thinking it may just be a glitch and not showing. Got there and found the bosses back up.

The only thing i did different yesterday was log off when in the raid group and onto and alt that somehow ended up in the raid.

Anyone ever had this happen?
