UBRS isn't bad as a solo cash run, but I think ZG still beats it if you can find someone to make a raid with (either leaving them outside or duoing -- favorite partner is a Holy Paladin).
Trash Humanoids drop roughly 25s each, plus greys/runecloth and bijous (which run about 15-20g on my server). Certain areas like Panther/Tiger/Snake/Bat have lots of easily AoE'd trash once you deal with the occasional Axe Thrower and Priest.
Bosses drop on average 25g with 2 blue drops that vendor for about 5-8g or turn in to enchanting mats to be AH'd. Hakkar's purples vendor in the 10-12g range.
While my Holy partner was finishing Zandalar rep, we could clear the whole place in just over 90 minutes and each go home with ~200g even with her claiming all bijous and no disenchanting or skinning going on.
Tonight after the raid i went back to Karazhan and i managed to down Moroes
I'll be uploading the movie around the weekend.
Here's how you can do it:
Hunter solo Moroes
2xT5 for the set bonus.
A turtle pet. *You will need Shell Shield to be able to do this*
Now the main thing that stopped us hunters from doing Moroes was the Garotte.
While i was looking on wow wiki for wich adds were along side Moroes i noticed:
Moroes vanishes every 30 seconds It seems that hunters can avoid Garrote by Feign Death during Vanish
i Though since FD has a 25 second CD (with glyph) it must be avoidable.
So i tested it out, the moment Moroes Vanishes you use FD.
Instantly stand back up after you used it, it doesn't matter that Moroes is still invisable.
This will make Moroes ignore you and apply the garotte on your pet.
You will need a Turtle pet for the skill: Shell Shield (Reduces all dmg by 50% for 12 sec, 42 sec cd)
When you FD you will not heal your pet with T5.
If you're unlucky and ypu get sapped by the ret paladin you can use it to save your pet.
Garotte ticks nasty, you can save your pet with this skill when his hp gets low.
Depending on wich adds moroes has it can be easy or quite hard.anoying >.<
I was unlucky to get 2xwarrior, 1xret paly, 1xholy priest.
Blow all cd's at start and kill the Ret asap, then the priest, (trapped a warrior), then finished of the warriors.
When only Moroes is left its a pretty easy fight, jsut tank and spank, and FD on vanish.
You can use Deterrence when he saps your pet.
Gl to all of you, and now on to Opera ^_^ (Let's hope its Big Bad Wolf )
There are several ways you can do the Raptor boss;
1) Just do it like most raids did it at lvl 60; clear the trash first, then take on the boss and raptor. Kill Raptor first, his sunders will stack on your pet which increases damage done to pet dramatically at some point. Once Raptor dies the real fun begins as you know; enraged Mandokir with a Guillotine move that hits (not crits) for 10k, a move he only does if you keep healing/damaging as he 'watches' you.
This is naturally the hardest way to solo Mandokir (fears, charges, 5k guillotine hits if you aren't careful), but it is possible, i myself used to solo raptor boss a few times before i read about the following bug(s).
2) Kill the speaker, Mandokir will come down. Have your pet grab both raptor and troll while you yourself run up the stairs, after which you jump to the middle level of the temple. Once you are here, you can choose to kill the raptor first (removing stacking sunders on pet, but making Mandokir enrage), or let Raptor hit the pet and simply kill Mandokir. You can even choose to make the raptor go into evade mode, by shooting at it with pet only building threat on the troll. Whatever you do, do not overaggro on the troll; he will teleport you down with all the consequences of that (fears/charges).
3) An even greater exploit/bug: same as nr 2, but this time once you are in position, call back your pet, making it teleport next to you. Both Mandokir and his raptor will stay downstairs evading, looking at your pet (It's a pet, not a player, so Mandokir can't teleport him downstairs). After 20 seconds Mandokir teleports to your spot at the middle level (???) mounted on his raptor. You can immediately attack him and only he will appear, the raptor is gone. Jump down from the middle level, while your pet stays there with the troll. Run halfway up the stairs, and dps the troll from here, where you don't have to worry about fears/charges.
Yes, I ended up having to do it the way you described in number 1 - because no matter how hard I tried number 2, I couldn't get him to bug and not teleport me down.
I even watched videos on where to stand - but everytime he's teleporting me down and I have to do it #1 style.
I'll keep trying for #2 style - I mean while i was runing UP the stairs he pulled me back down! GRR
I'll worry about 3 once I can figure out where to stand in the 2nd platform so as not to be ported back down to him....
Does anyone know if they fixed the Tiger Boss MD trick? I just got done in there attempting to solo it(couldn't get the MD trick to work so I got lazy and brought a prot pally friend who was nearby). I've done it plenty of times before the patch, and this was my first time going into ZG after 3.2 launched.
It looks like the adds don't reset even if you pull them out past the archway entirely, and will only reset if Thekal resets.
I beat gehennas by blowing up both his adds asap, then getting outside of his shadow bolt range and just healing up my pet. Once in a while i would run in to dps after a SBolt went off but I dont think I went in that often.
I had two peice t5 (using shoulders gloves cause then I can use my two peice t8.5 as well) and just let my pet kill him while i would run in to throw a mend pet on him.
The imp mend pet took off the debuffs pretty well/fast so all the healing my pet would need is a mend pet and he stayed topped.
I would burn down the adds as fast as possible then get out of Shadow bolt range and just use the 3T1 to keep my pet up.
As above I would run in occasionally to dps, moving back out to Bandage/Spirit Bond heal myself.
Generally without the adds the boss doesn't do enough to kill my pet.
And I would say that 2/2 Imp mend pet is a must without 2T5.
I don't know if this is the appropriate place to ask, but can anyone confirm/deny if resilience affects pets? There is a thread on bigredrhino.com regarding the resilience amount to get your pet crit capped, however, from googling this tanks are saying it does not affect pve - just pvp.
I'm not sure if pets might go by a different rule set then players so I'm wondering if anyone has any successful tests yet. I'm slowly working my way up through wrath instances (working on Violet Hold once I finish my gear sets) but also going to start trying to tank heroics with a dedicated group.
Edited: I know 40% resilience transfers to pet. I mean to ask if the resilience would help him avoid crits while tanking.
Just soloed majordomo without 2/5 T5, turtle can take the heat, just nuke 1-2 adds asap. I didn't use any consumables. I used full pvp gear, pet had 23k hp and I had 26.3k. It definitely helped since at one point my pet was at 2k hp or so. It's not easy but it's definitely more challenging/fun than using T5.
As for ragnaros, he is easily soloable without T5 if you just use FR gear (assuming you make some of the sons despawn).
I also tried razorgore, my plan was to control the orb while my pet tanks all the adds, and every 1 min when the orb duration expires I can mend pet + shell shield etc.
The problem is that apprently a hunter can't use the orb with his pet out, he has to dismiss it, which makes this unsoloable atleast in my eyes.
