Best idea I have so far is to attempt to make an Ony 25/10 and grab one of the trinkets.

Kara: Netherspite & Illhoof left
MC: 4 bosses left
World Dragons: Lethon down

I did it with 2 ony trinkets. With baubble might take a little longer without the health regen. There is no enrage timer on boss, so most of the fight just run circles around boss, using mend pet, and healing yourself to full before next 25%. Use bandages if you need, lock and ogrilla stone, health pot. When you are far enough from the stuff chasing you bandage yourself. If you can get an ony trinket it makes it even easier. I think this method took me a good 15 minutes to do but was simple. Might take longer for you if you need to rely on bandages to heal yourself.

Using 2 ony hp5 trinkets + a few green 78-80 nature resist pieces (would recommend smaller parts such as shoulder, hands etc. because of the loss of other stats) makes it a lot easier. Just avoid the nasty green clouds and be at 98+ % health at 80-70%-55-45% etc. and it won't kill you.
Unless you can keep yourself alive though the fight itself and the 75% phases with the trinket you have it's a question about figuring out how to avoid certain aspects of the fight. Like standing 100 yards away or something like that.
Edit: Princess Huhuran inside Aq40 downed with a MM spec and wolf pet, with a few 277 pieces it should be possible to farm her without wipes and nature res pieces. 2 Onyxia hp5 trinkets are needed though.

I've been trying to solo the Twilight Corruptor in Duskwood for the past few weeks. There's a video of it on youtube: YouTube - 80 MM Hunter solo : Twilight Corrupter . Problem is the reset distance I'm experiencing seems to be much shorter than the one in the video. Anyone else tried soloing this guy?

I solo'd the Twilight Corrupter a while back. At that time, I didn't know that he can be killed with kiting, and instead I killed him by letting my turtle did most of the damaging while FDing (to prevent MC). Unlike other mind controlling bosses such as Hakkar, he can mind control anyone in his aggro table, not just the highest aggro holder.
I didn't use 2xT5 because my pet is going to do almost all of the DPSing anyways. Not having the privilege of any of the Ony regen trinkets, I stacked shadow resistance buff from Lesser Flask of Resistance and popping Mighty Shadow Prot potion (not specifically bought for this fight, only remains from Vezax hard mode attempts in the past), as well as both drum buffs. If I remember correctly, I even had the priest's Prayer of Shadow Prot buff, shamelessly stolen from ninja-queue-ing into an AV.
The idea of the strat is to send pet, apply Mend Pet and immediately FD, only getting up to apply Mend Pet as necessary (and bandage) and immediately FD as soon as cooldown finishes. Try to anticipate when the Mend Pet is going to be needed, and as such you can let FD's cooldown to run its course before you cast the Mend Pet, lessening the mind control chance to the minimum. Also try to FD on maximum range and out of LoS (I used the pillars to LoS). For some reason, the mind control never got me during the FD cooldown. It might be either due to luck, or the possible limit of the range of the mind control, or the fact that I used Shadowmeld between FD cooldowns, or even the "get up-wait for CD-Mend-immediately FD" method. Nevertheless, I still unequipped my ammo to prevent myself from doing any meaningful damage to the pet in case of a mind control.
It was a painstakingly long fight, letting your pet doing almost all of the damage, except for the last few %. If I had known of the kiting method, I would have preferred it.

Haven't seen anyone claiming a ZA solo bosskill yet, so I figured I'd share my tactic for Jan'Alai the Dragonhawk Avatar second boss in ZA.
Needed 2xT5 for pet healing and some fire resistance (219 seemed to be the magical number for me, pet has 221).
-Head enchant 25 FR
-Cloak enchant 20 FR
-Bracer enchant (afaik LW only) 70 FR
-Drums of the wild 54 FR
-Lesser Flask of Resistance 50 FR
You might be able to do it without any fire resistance if you got both Ony trinkets, not able to test that since I don't have those.
Both me and my turtle had just under 40k hp.
Tank boss in the middle of the platform.
Soon after you engage him he will call 2 hatchers that will start to hatch the eggs on the left and right platforms if not killed.
Kill 1 hatcher off right away so you only have to focus on one side.
Put a serpent sting on the 2nd hatcher and start clearing out the hatched dragonhawks.
They have low hp but can overwhelm you pretty quickly.
They have a nasty Flame Buffet that increases fire damage taken by 2% stacking indefinitely.
The Flame Buffet can be dispelled from your pet if specced in Improved Mend Pet.
Once there have been 3-4 sets of dragonhawks take out the hatcher.
You should have killed off 6-10 dragonhawks.
It's better to go for 10 since you don't have much time to spare.
The boss enrages after 5 minutes increasing his melee damage and attack speed by 50% and you will want to focus keeping up your pet than and not dealing with adds.
At 35% hp the boss will spawn all the remaining eggs which is why you want to take them out before that.
During the entire encounter the boss does a Flame Breath and throws out Fire Bombs on the ground.
Just eat the Flame Breath and heal back up with bandages and Spirit Bond and avoid the Fire Bombs.

I have tried the kiting method on Twilight Corrupter, I have not killed him yet but this is what I know.
- He is faster than you while running with speed enchant on boots
- You are faster them him with cheetah, his ranged abilities do not break cheetah
- You can kite him pretty much anywhere within the twilight grove
- You have to tag him every 5 seconds or he will leach back to the spawn point, only the first tick of serpent sting counts
- Ony 25 man HP5 trinket was enough to keep me alive
My problem... MANA, it's along fight
- I tired switching to viper when far but I was not really able to get enough mana back
- Avoided spamming shots
- Used MP5 flask, MP5 food, Fel Mana Potion at start and a mana pot during.
- Probably could use Viper + Disengage/Deterrence to gain more mana regen time and get back out of melee range.
- Ony MP5 trinket would probably help also
- Could also try to stutter step to use an auto-shot to tap him

You can also use a cunning pet for 30% mana / 3min, if that's not enough go survival I would say.

Soloing instances and raids in 4.01
Has anyone else been trying out soloing raids and instances with the changes to the class and especially mend pet (Now heals for much more (25% - or more with the glyph – over 10 seconds)) in 4.01?
For me it has become a lot easier to solo almost all the things I had problems with before, and many bosses who were impossible to solo before might now be possible. I’m using a stamina heavy set and mend pet currently heals for ~ 5000 each tic, and together with 2 pieces of t5 that makes for over 3000 pet healing each second.
Bosses like Doomwalker and Kazzak for example are now one-shots for me. It’s possible for me to heal through Doomwalkers hits even when my pet has 7-9 stacks of the armor debuff, and Kazzak can be healed through with just mend pet now (his mana debuff is also gone), making it all about my own survival since the fight takes 4-5 minutes.
I’m going to try out bosses in Serpentsrine Caverns, Tempest keep and other burning crusade instances now, and possible also things in classic that I deemed was unsoloable. What are everyone’s experiences with soloing right now and thoughts about it post-Cataclysm when we’ll have 80k healthpools? Are we finally going to be more competitive together with Death knights and paladins, or will we just solo most of the things they did during WOTLK?

I've been comfortably farming my regular ZG and MC bosses since the patch with less effort than prior to 4.0.1.
1. MM and BM are both viable for level 60 raid bosses that I have attempted.
2. Chimera Shot is nice for personal healing but hasn't been essential with any of the bosses I've attempted.
3. BM pets seem almost indestructible. I did H-Sethekk Halls with an untalented Turtle without dramas. The new Mend Pet is high powered (scared to use the term over powered in case the devs are listening).
4. I've worked with a level 79 worm (BM) and level 80 turtle (BM and MM).
5. I accidentally did Raptor and Tiger bosses in ZG without T5 gear!
6. Glyphed MD makes fights even easier. The ability to build up threat early (before it expires) and reapply it after aggro dumps isn't essential but a nice quality of life improvement.
I'm yet to try any new bosses (level 70) or go through AQ20 again. I'll give them a shot in the next couple of weeks armed with greater confidence.

Spirit Mend plus trinket like Bauble of True Blood or Althor's Abacus.
For the last one, I tried it once, it does proc with mend pet, however the heal was on my pet.
edit : it was before 4.0

Still if we look at a fight like Akil’zon. He hits my pet for 2000 damage each 2-3 seconds, which is easily healable, but the damage to myself is also very high. He summons birds which does about 800 damage to me every few seconds (shooting those down is an option, but it will be very hard and require nearly all my attention) and besides the airlift he does every now and then (can be avoided most of the time with disengage/parashoot) he also hits me with a nature attack that gives me a +%nature damage debuff.
Even with 35k health, 2 Onyxia health per 5 second trinkets, a spirit beast with spirit mend and 300 nature resistance I didn’t last for long. This fight might just be about executing it right, but it still shows the problem clearly: We are getting killed before our pets on many boss fights, and that keeps us from soloing them.

Did you - or anyone else - have any problem using the ZG Raptor Boss "Bug" to kill him? I tried using this (where you stand on the blocks near the stairs and get him to portal up to you, getting rid of the raptor attacking and taking out his ability to charge) last week after 4.0.1 and my pet is refusing to return-port to me when I use "passive" mode (as I use to, to bring him up, to get the Boss to come up to the steps). I tried it 4-5 times before finally giving up and just killing him regularly (took much longer, and almost died by that point)
Anyone else having this issue? Perhaps they tweaked the pet pathing back. I even tried dismissing the pet and resummoning it up where I was, but as soon as it was dismissed the boss ported me immediately to him on the ground.

I never got why people used this rather odd way.
The way I do it, and still works is: stand at the bottom and pull the boss. Let your pet attack the boss, and pull the raptor off. Then run up the stairs and jump on the block up there. The raptor bugs out and starts evading. And you can just dps the boss from the ledge while your pet tanks it at the bottom.
This is seriously twice as fast and doesn't bug out the boss. You just gotta watch out you don't overaggro. But I sometimes just feign death and make sure i pull aggro back on the raptor.

I've never bothered with the bug - it's a pretty easy encounter.
1. Kill the speaker at the bottom of the stairs.
2. MD to you pet
3. Multi-Shot the Raptor and Boss
4. DPS down the Raptor with your pet focusing on it.
5. DPS down the Boss with your pet focusing on it.
Simply make sure you are strafing when the Boss charges you - that way when you get knocked down you continue to travel away from the point at which he hits you to allow you to avoid getting hit by his whirlwind. Bandaid and pot if you are struggling or not paying attention.
It's an easy fight that doesn't require bugs or haxx.

Yes, ZG now is very easy instance for Hunters.
Best spec is BM.
Yesterday. I`m in ~264 lvl gear with Devilsaur(79 lvl with points on Stamina and Armor) killed Raptor and Tiger bosses.
And even more easily Devilzavr tank fest boss (Headless Horseman), when the other group members have gone offline.
HP pet(32k) not dropped below 50%
I think the best glyphs to farm are: - [Glyph of Bestial Wrath]
- [Glyph of Mending]
- [Glyph of Hunter's Mark] -- bug, caption wrong(!)
