Waited for the weapons, killed the most I could, just 2 left, the other fase started, killed mage and enginear, by this time one of that adds that were far away from that place gets to me, killed him, killed the two remaining weapons and the warrior comes last.
I had time to do all, without any stress at all, when kael comes you get on a corner and the pet on the other side. Dps and heal after he casts the "Obey me" and thats it.

It takes more time because you need to kill all the trash in your way but it makes the fight even easier, with no pet bugs and with plenty of time to kill all adds before kael comes.
But when the event starts a Gate/Door Closes the room making the option to go back to the instance entrance impossible.

How do you get through the closing gate, and without reseting the fight?

The door just close after all the talking kael does before sending the 1st add. Before that the door is open for like 20s or so. Not sure how much but is enought for you to get out of the room.

Patchwerk soloable (in 359 gear), but solo kill is very, very hard.

Hunter solo Patchwerk world first (WarcraftMovies / YouTube)

Talents and glyphs (7/31/3): Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Pet's: 3 x Beetle, Turtle, Cat -- Hunter Pet Calculator - Wowhead

Consumables:
-- Kings drums, Flask of the Winds, food (Skewered Eel), Runescroll of Fortitude II

P.S. I don't use T5 2-set bonus.

Congrats on the kill, well done - but one question. When you're rotating between the pets I can't see the "move to" rune, when you send the new pet away. Did I just miss it?

Has anyone given Brutallus a shot? I just poked at him a bit the other night, but it didn't go very far. I'm guessing that his health + sick enrage timer means he probably can't be solo'd, but I've been wrong before, and people around here are much better at this than I am. He looks, to me, to be the biggest stepping stone to getting at Kil'jaeden and trying for Thori'dal.

Kel'thuzad soloed! - Brutallus thoughts

Kel'thuzad fell down last night after a lot of very close attempts. A video will come out at some point but right now I'm working on ''something'' for it.

Brutallus has 7,351,254 hp right now and his berserk timer says 6 minutes. That means about 20500 dps over 6 minutes is required to kill him before he berserks which probably is reach-able in 370 gear. My gearlvl is 360 and his damage to my pet was just healable if I focused on using shell shield when he used stomp but he also did quite some damage to me with random AOE.

This boss may be possible for me with a very lucky attempt (20k over 6 minutes doesn't seem possible to me with my gearlvl and without raidbuffs/debuffs) and if the damage he deals to the player is healable over a 6 minute fight he will surely be doable with either HC 372 gear or with tier 12 gear.

Yea. The more I look at it, the less possible it seems at this moment. He has more HP than Lord Marrowgar, and his enrage is 4 minutes shorter. He also seems to have a lot of random, AOE type attacks that I'm not sure a hunter would be able to heal through himself. Seems like it might be a lost cause at this point in time.

But still, would be super cool to be able to try and farm another legendary weapon solo. I'll have to give it another shot with the next gear bump.

He wouldn't be the only obstacle keeping you from farming KJ though. I've tried Twins solo a couple of times and it's wasn't even possible for me to kill one of them before I dead to random AOE. M'uru I thought to be a lot easier and something that had been killed solo by a hunter a long time ago, but he proved to be quite a badass still when you're only one person. I would say that difficulty-wise it's Brutallus/Twins<M'uru.

Heroic Pit of Saron: Tyrannus.

@Esajin:

Yep, someone has been sucessful on Tyrannus. Took me 2-3 hours, but it took me time to understand the correct strategy.
Link to the video: YouTube - Durendil vs Pit of Saron (heroic)
combat starts at 4:26.

All the fight is in positioning and taunting.

There are many things that make this fight complicated.
The worst is his brand:
-healing: don't. heal. your. pet. Reall. It will regenerate him too quickly. To keep your pet alive, you must use T5 (not affected by his brand). And of course, take a ferocity soloing-specced pet for his self-heal and, if needed, heart of the phoenix. I don't know if you can survive the fight without chimaera shot healing you.

-damage: don't damage him when you have the brand, except with serpent sting. Personal damage isn't too important, i'll explain later. On the good side, it shortens the fight. On the bad side, your pet will be in passive for the fight (except a small window in the beginning to mount aggro). One thing to keep in mind is that he will not cast it on his target. So if you taunt him just before your brand expires, you will have 8 seconds of pure dps (but no kill command, remember, your pet is on passive). But it will probably be luck, since stopping him from tearing up your pet will normally get you taunting non-stop.

THE ICE PATCHES:
Key to this fight. You see, Tyrannus runs really fast. But the ice slows him down a lot. So you must position your pet on one side of the ice patch, and stand on the other, and taunt, taunt and taunt. If done correctly, Tyrannus wont get a single hit on either of you.
Just change ice patch once in a while.
Secondly, the ice patch is something like 3K dps, wich is pur luck, since your dps will be very low (espacially in BM). When i soloed him, i did only 50% of his hp, the ice did the rest.

Finally, you got the freezes. They are bad. Worst scenarios: you taunt, but you are too near the boss: he hit for 20K, once gave me a 44K. Or your taunt finishes, your pet gets a beating (CD!). Or your taunt finishes, Tyrannus enrages, gets 6 seconds on your pet, kills him without remorse.

So everything is in the taunting and positioning. Taunt him when he's on the other side of the ice patch, but don't wait too long if you're going to get frozen, keep your pet alive without mending... Phew, he was hard. Better have patience. I did it in blue gear 333/346 (and T5), so it's more skill than equipment. Reserved for motivated soloers.

P.S: Gratz Krelle for KT of Naxx and Felmyst!

Not worth doing Magtheridon anymore, only drops 50g instead of 500g. Guessing everyone else has been nerfed aswell.

Anyone tried Onyxia after the patch?
When I want to MD the whelps on my pet MD seems not to work really; lots of whelps stay on.

Business as usual on onyxia for me, maybe you just failed with the MD?

@Hirgux: Assuming survival attempt for solo onyxia for the aoe for the whelps, if Misdirect alone fails to pick up the full whelp spawn, try pre-laying explosive on one whelp cave's mouth, snake on the other, MD before any eggs hatch, quickly Multishot each pack once to ensure both are safely serpent spread misdirecting to pet, then follow through by feigning death, any adds missed by the massive aoe misdirect tag should default to pet aggro solely based on it being the only viable target on the threat table for their proximity aggression. Also, times like these truly are a favorite for the Cardboard Assassin belt tinker or in theory a Target dummy type engineer gadget. If you're also a Leatherworker like myself, Caverns of Time honored reputation nets a pattern for still un-level capped Drums of Panic for a extremely short duration 5 target aoe fear similar to Psychic Scream, but 2 second duration and target limitation make this extremely situational at best, given that any engineer grenades (but not the cataclysm bolt gun) will also share its cooldown.

And traditional: All else fails, kite!

Hopefully not duplication: Use of camoflauge mechanic in the start of a semi-viable solo strategy to hunter farm chaos orb drops:

Heroic Blackrock Caverns is "gated" only in the sense that there are obviously currently impassable masses of the evolved (read: shadowstrike using) adds. Why can a hunter bypass them easily? The logic is simple, but untested post-4.1... Camoflauge is an aggression-triggering radius reduction to effective zero rather than a true "Stealth" effect while moving, negating the benefit of these or many other (ancient core hounds confirmed also) "stealth sight" possessed npc's to fail to trigger, assuming you don't acutally step on the toes of one. For this example, while under camoflauge's effect, simply jump onto and run along both sections left-hand guardrails. In the poorly planned event of an unexpected add aggression, feign death, then simply wait for camoflauge to come off cooldown, and use the camo cast as your feign-breaking action. You can literally have an add standing on your character's feigning model reset and fail to re-triggger by doing this.

Note: some, especially older or named, also rarely certain elite or higher npc's will not ever fail to resist feign death or reset. EVER. Kind of like the way you're still a viable caustic slime target for chimaeron while feigned, among other things like most targeted boss ablities.

In the example at hand of Heroic Blackrock Caverns: since a minimum Karsh Steelbreaker kill is required to trigger the Raz event for the elites at the final boss, currently use this mostly for bad pugs who fail to chains or beam bosses and/or save time for guildmates, any player arriving in Karsh Steelbreaker's room will trigger the activation of the teleport to the entrance as if Corla had been defeated, and killing him while skipping Beauty has yet to fail the scripted clearing of the elites gating Ascendant Lord Obsidious

Kel'thuzad strategic

Copy-pasting my strategic here as I think some people may want to know what I did:

Kel’thuzad

Things you need:

6300+ pet only dps with Kill command, Fervor and Bestial Wrath being used whenever they are ready, a BM spec, a ferocity pet, preferably a Spirit Beast, preferably 95k+ pet health, preferably DeadlyBossMods timers.

Tactic:

Start the fight. Forget about the Skeletal adds; Soldier of the Frozen Wastes. Focus on killing the Unstoppable Abominations and Soul Weavers and make your pet tank the Abominations. Kel’thuzad will do a shout out about 3.38 minutes into phase 1, and 10 seconds after that he will become active and the fight will enter phase 2. After 3.28 minutes you should pop Rapid fire and focus on killing the remaining Abominations. Once all the abominations are dead you can focus on positioning your pet and Kel’thuzad. Put your pet on Passive and Follow and run up behind Kel’thuzad’s throne.

When Kel’thuzad becomes active he will have agro on you and follow you behind the throne. Make your pet attack the boss and get out of his line of sight fast. Try killing the remaining Soul Weavers while using Kill Command whenever you can and attempt to get your pet into your line of sight while you are out of Kel’thuzad’s line of sight. If you succeed in all of this and can keep a pet-only dps of 6300+ on Kel’thuzad over 15 minutes the fight is basically won now. Keep your pet at full health with Mend Pet and use Kill Command, Fervor and Bestial Wrath whenever you can.

At 45% health Kel’thuzad enters phase 3. He will call for aid and the Lich King will send 2 Guardians of Icecrown to fight you. Right after they spawn the Guardians will gain agro on you and move towards you. Feign dead when one of them has agro on you and they will both despawn.

Yes, they were all nerfed because too many people were solo/dual farming the old BC raid content for the gold. My brother and I did it plenty of times, with him as a tank, me and my pet as dps.
