Killed off Naj'entus in Black Temple today without too many issues. Did it in a basic PvE BM spec due to Kill Command being better. Basically you start the fight by Misdirecting to your pet, you do some dps for around 10-15 seconds, then you go 80-85 yards away, and spam Kill Command. When he casts the Shield up, you Dismiss your pet and wait for him to come to you. Then, Feign Death and a split second go back up and resummon the pet, he does a slight reset and loses shield but his health doesn't reset.
Might not be entirely legit due to using this Feign Death method, but it works at least, and it means you wont necessarily have to get a friend to help you with that first fight.

I noticed Twin Emps still hasn't been done, I'm not sure if this method is counted but I just solo'd them using a macro to pull the physical emp solo DPSing him down and running off and shooting the magic emp once they were at ~1%.
This is the macro, it works on most mob packs, if there is a patrol you need to trap the lead mob first before using the macro.
/cast Widow Venom
/stopcasting
/cast Feign Death
Toss up MD on your pet before using it and you're good to go.
This does work on Fireland's trash packs if those drops are still worth anything on your server.
Have a good one,
-Mizz

Blog
Hello everybody!
Adamjmac was nice enough to make me notice that except this thread (and articles linking to it), not much existed as far as hunter soloing was concerned.
So I decided to create Durendil : Hunter soloing.
I will put there soloing news, guides and strategies to farming each boss.
However, I do not have infinite time, and I would rather try bosses before showing the strategy, so it will take some time to develop and become a real, serious, up-to-date blog. It's still taking it's baby steps for now.
If any questions arise on certain strategies, better comment on this thread, I don't know how often I'll visit it.

I have been fine tuning my out-of-room Kael'thas (The Eye) strategy, and have found an ideal place for phase 4 to take place. This position occurs in both side wings (Void Reaver's and High Astromancer Solarian's rooms). It allows for unobstructed line of sight to your pet, allowing for continuous Mend up time, while remaining out of line of sight of Kael'thas himself. If using this method, be sure to disable Thunderstomp at the beginning of phase 4 if you do not do so already, and disable Growl before a Phoenix spawn, so you will have threat on it and can Feign to despawn it, rather than DPSing it down. You can also drop Explosive traps just as the Mind Control is about to come off cooldown, to further assist in this, and provide extra boss damage.
I will update this post with a screenshot of the locations after my next kill.

Gluth bug
Hello.
A week ago, I was trying to kill Gluth in Naxxramas. However, on one of my tries, no zombie spawned (making the fight trivial).
What hapened? I tried to do it again this week.
If you FD, let him nicely reset, then get up, zombie spawn.
If you FD a split-second then get back up, zombie spawn.
So there is a timing problem.
Now, I managed to bug him twice today while working on this method. There are 3 explanations:
I FD, and got back up a split-second before his reset, and the zombie spawning timer had been reset but not the boss.
I FD, and got back up a split-second after his reset, so the boss had reset but not the zombie spawning timer, who reset a split-second after I aggroed Gluth
The most probable is that I FD while a zombie was aggroing me, Gluth resets, but he spots a zombie, he goes to eat him, and I go back up after he has charged the zombie but before he eats it. As such, Gluth isn't "engaged", so no zombie spawn. It is to be noted that the zombie hadn't gone back to his spawn point when Gluth ate him (might be irrelevant).
Now, this is an exploit - no achievement, congratulations, world first... But it can be useful for farming Naxxramas (Gluth + Thaddius = 300 gold in 10 minutes).
So if someone who isn't linked to Naxxramas could help me understand, it would be a great help for my wallet and all the hunters who have done too much daily quests in their lifetime

Now I realy dont understand what you call exploit and what you dont.
Most raid bosses that got adds hunters usualy despawn them, here is the same thing. Whats the diference beetween them?
Actualy I even think that killing twin emperors with the bug should be a legit solo. True that we supose to fight with both but is also true that we are supose to fight with adds on some bosses and on some of them you couldnt kill it without that despawn.
Razorgore per exemple, is on your list and we all know that he cant be killed without being buged.
What Im trying to say is that all solos, bugged or not, should be in the list.

For me, there are two kinds of exploit:
-add bugging: despawning adds, making them stand there and do nothing... it isn't glorious, but I consider it legit, especially since most of the time, the boss is impossible (at current gear level) without doing it (Noth 25, anub'rekhan 25, Yogg-Saron...).
-boss bugging: half-resetting the boss (reset enrage/abilities without resetting health), fighting half of the boss... the exploit is just too big to be ignored.
Example: Gluth:
Imagine that, if you FDd, the zombies returned to their spawn point until decimate where they would aggro Gluth. OK. But zombies: 1.regenerate Gluth's health. 2.Move to him after decimate.
So bugging the adds = bugging the boss.
Besides, Gluth can be solo'd without the bug. So why bug him?
So, as you see, not all exploits are equal - some would say that none is legit others that all are. I'm more relative: some bugs are just too big to be accepted by me.
Now, this is my reflexion - if you want to consider all downs, wathever the method, legit, It's your choice. But my list, my rules.
P;S: Razorgore is an exception because he's simply impossible without the bug.

Rankings/progress?
Hundreds of raidbosses have been killed solo now by hunters and I have been thinking a bit about some kind of ranking system for the bosses that have been killed in the past plus the ones that will be in the future, to try and keep a track of just who killed that and that boss first.
Perhaps something along the way of Durendils killed/not killed chart for bosses throughout Wow but just with an added name of the person that got the first kill and of course a pretty precise date for said first kill (and perhaps some evidence for it happening)
Since the date will be public in here, it's easy for others to argue that they killed a boss earlier that the said first kill.
The result could be something like Wowprogress where you can look back and see when a boss was downed first and by who and at the same time keep yourself up to date on the newest solo kills and whether a new boss has been killed yet or not.
A lot of the old solo'ers are still lurking on these forums I'm sure, and youtube videos, old posts, etc. will also help a lot to find the correct date/person responsible for a first kill.
It will take a lot of work to find all the dates/people and some of the boss kills simply wont be able to be tracked.
Suggestions/opinions are very welcome.

Razorgore has been solo'd legit by a feral druid using Glyph of Regrowth and wearing resto gear to keep aggro on the adds. Link.
Granted, it's not a Hunter solo, but it IS a glitch/exploit free solo.

I agree with Sepultura here. You're making arbitrary judgements on the values of different exploits. There's no reason why exploiting Twins or C'thun is less legit than exploiting Yogg-saron, just because the element of the fight you're exploiting is linked to the bosses rather than to mobs that may not have the same name as the boss but are equally if not more important mechanics of the fights.
If you want to argue that a Twins kill is only legitimate once someone has achieved the gear necessary to outDPS their healing, then in the same vein you should argue that an Anub'rekhan kill is only legitimate once you've achieved the gear to deal with all the adds. You could add different categories (like you seem to have done on your blog) but ignoring a kill because you personally think the exploit used is graver than the ones you yourself honour is rather hypocritical.
@Krelle: I doubt it's possible to trace the accurate details of some of the earliest kills (lvl 70 Onyxia/MC soloes, for example), especially when you can't assume everyone who attempts soloing actually finds this website. I can barely even remember the first time I soloed Onyxia on any of my characters, so I wouldn't dare argue I beat someone to it.

Judging from Onin's and Sepultura's reactions, I understand their point of view.
So I will modify the list to encompass all solo'd bosses regarless of bug. However, since there is a difference between a legit kill and an exploited one I will add a mention of any bug/exploit used, no matter how small, to differenciate bosses killed without any bugs and bugged bosses.
The categories would be as followed:
-Add despawn: all kind of add despawning
-Aggro ignorance: when creatures don't attack you anymore, like the scions in Malygos fight and Yogg-Saron in phase 2
-Special description of the bug for some bosses
However, there is one bug I will never ever consider as far as soloing is considered: boss half-resetting. It can easily lead to abuses like the total ignorance of any berserk timer (patchwerk 25, XT-002 25,...).
P;S: If I have forgotten to modify something in the list, do not hesitate to point it out.

Considering your exception, wouldn't that make soloing Razorgore impossible? You do sort of half-reset him with the bug that despawns adds..

Razorgore is a special circumstance. There isn't anything about that fight where you can feel good about doing it solo. You HAVE to exploit it or you simply wont' do it.

High Warlord Naj'entus Solo.
Probably will not go to Durendil list because he hates this bug but is a solo I realy dont see any other way of doing it.
Nothing to point out, the movie shows all we need to see.

Soloing spec guide
Hello.
I finished my guide Durendil : Hunter soloing about marksmanship and soloing.
Since this is my first spec guide, I would enjoy feedback (in the comments), mainly:
-was there something original but useful?
-something totally superfluous?
-is there an error somewhere?
-is something missing?
Thanks for your help.
P.S: spoiler for next guide: http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/508...1611222213.jpg
