I didn't exactly kite him by keeping aggro (wich is imposssible), I just kept getting 100 yards away from my pet and going to the other side of the room. By the time he caught up with me, I had misdirected him on my pet. Although he usually was fast enough to reach my pet 2-3 seconds after my pet had lost the stacking debuff.

Killed Shannox after way too many wipes. Had two 4% wipes to enrage, a 13% wipe because I pulled a core hound, I got trapped ONCE by crystal trap because it was 3:30am or something like that and I lost focus. Then I went for one last try before heading to bed and killed him with 22 seconds to enrage. Not sure what I did different to get that much more dps. Anyway, screenshot for now, video will come later. I'm probably not gonna be a doing a lot of soloing still, since I'm pretty busy with schoolstuff, but I took this day off for playing a bit
Oh btw, average item level was 488 (not sure about the decimal, will check with Altoholic later, off to bed now).

I tried, the damage was too high in the tornado phase, but coming to think of it, I could possibly have cast stampede to get more heals off. I still don't think that would be enough though :/ Oh, and I didn't go as BM, as pets don't work in the air, and since you'd need to be BM to get Spirit Beasts, I think it's safe to say it's not possible. I got her down to 60% in one air phase, but that could probably be improved a lot (as well as MM probably being better than surv for that fight).
Video for Shannox is out: World first hunter solo: CaribaLd vs Shannox - YouTube Sadly it's blocked in Germany due to the music, and I don't really feel like trying with new music and hoping for the best :/

May very well be a Hunter Worldfirst (now that I think of it, better update the list quickly before school comes back). There are actually, in my opinion, 3 ways of getting a worldfirst:
-gear/dps skill: some bosses have tight enrage timer, so it's about doing the required dps before everyone else. ex:Brutallus, anub'rekhan 25, loatheb 25, sarth 3D...
-strategy skill: sometimes using your brain and experimenting will make you discover ways to beat a boss nobody had thought about. ex: sindragosa, lich king, algalon...
Little story: once upon a time, 2 hunters solo'd hodir 10. The first had heroic gear, tol'vir potions, stayed in aspect of the hawk the whole fight and downed him 30 second before berserk. The second also in marksmanship, used cobra shot, stayed in fox all the fight, and stacked the fire debuff. Got him right after berserk. So strategy counts a lot, even when dps is concerned.
-going where no hunter has gone before: while some hunters are busy doing heroic raids gearing alts and other hard-core gaming things, just go solo bosses. example: my worldfirst at the beginning of mop (many were really easy), or deathwhisper 10 heroic (nobody had figured a way past her mind control until I just tried her and discovered she simply didn't cast it).
So you probably got a hunter worldfirst because you believed you could do it. nice

We dont have more world first as you like to call it because very few hunters do it. Even the ones that use to do it just go and try if they are bored.
Raids are new now, when most hunters got all on farm you will see more doing it. I dont think theres a hunter that takes solos so serious as you, you have zero or very few competion there.

Killed Morchok, Survival because I felt like it instead of going easy route with BM and spirit beasts video will be up sometime, can't be bothered editing but I was listening to music anyway
Oh btw, with 35% debuff of course. Ilvl 494.3
Yor'sahj seems possible, but requires luck with my gear at least. Just had my best try where he was on 29% with 2 minutes and 25 to enrage, calculated it to be 5% behind enrage. With some luck and no black/yellow combos, it could go down... but it's a very tight encounter.
Yor'sahj <1% wipe...
Yor'sahj down
I didn't take screenshots of the dead bosses, and videos will come later... until then, you might enjoy a screenshot I got of the <1% wipe:

Quite true, but I would also say that in some cases, two or even three of those 'ways' can be combined. When I started soloing, I felt like many of my world firsts were the last category (I started a few weeks or so after taking up the game again, so I wasn't decked out in max gear - mostly from heroic dungeons and possibly some LFR). As I geared up, more and more bosses became possible, and some of my kills were the first category.
In my opinion, the most fun is when all three categories are combined, so that you strategize and min/max so much with the gear you have, that you get it down just before enrage (or during!) (example: heroic festergut), or just before dying to a soft enrage (example: heroic sindragosa). So you go where no hunter ever went before, not only because of gear (perhaps in spite of worse), and not only because of the hard work put in to find the right strategy and maximize as much as possible, but because of both. Algalon became quite a lot easier to solo after my ilvl got better than the orinigal 400.1 I had on the first kill, but the true accomplishment was doing it as low gear as possible.

Nice solo's!
I just wanted to ask one thing: didn't yor'sajh have increased damage on pets?
And by the way, I agree with you on the fun that comes from combining challenges, it's always interesting to have to use a complex strategy to survive yet have to max out dps at the same time.
P.S: Am I the only soloer that hasn't downed Gara'jal yet? No wonder I seldom do the first type of worldfirst :p

Not sure, he hit pretty hard, not sure if it was increased. All I remember was that it was over 100k most of the time... could be 120k or so. It involved a lot of Deterrence->Revive Pet->Growl->Feign Death.
I tried clearing to Magmaw btw, but he hit for 210k...

I'm confused as to why your pet is "popping" back to you, what causes that to happen?
Also, just curious here as I haven't been back to Uld in a really long time...but do the vehicles not continue to scale with higher item level characters? As in, would it be worthwhile to start the fight with a 10 stack from a demo?
I'm assuming FL+4 is impossible still for this expansion.

After going away 100 yards from your pet it will despawn. Then you can simply resummon it by your side and MD it again.
I'm not certain if they scale all the way but Durendils point was to solo FL without the aid of the vehicles as a true hunter solo, which I'm still impressed about
