Sorry for coming back to this, but is this working in action lists currently? I've tried "buff.matrix_restabilizer_haste.up" as well as "buff.matrix_restabilzer_haste.up" (since that seems to be the spelling in the code), both make the sim die. Also no buffs seem to be showing up on the result page for Matrix Restabilizer under Procs, where it used to before.

It works in last night's build. I added a bogus "actions+=/cobra_shot,if=buff.matrix_restabilizer_haste.up", and see cobra shots firing for MM (and I see the buff in the result).

What version are you using? I fixed the typo before a release was ever made, so the correct name is the matrix_restabilizer_haste.

For future reference, you can run a sim to steal any buff's name from the buff list and then add it to your action list.

I was seeing 420-5 at the top of the Results page, which seems to match the latest download available at the page I downloaded it from (simc-420-5-win32.zip - simulationcraft - Patch 4.2.0 Release 5 *Win32+Source* - World of Warcraft DPS Simulator - Google Project Hosting). That's dated 2 days ago and I don't see a more recent binary available on the download page.

And yes I was looking for the buff name to steal off the bufflist, it was listing any buff for MS even on successful runs.

I'll try a fresh install instead of overwriting my old directory, and I guess followup in a support ticket if I still have problems, thanks.

Strange result I'm trying to figure out.

I was playing around with various amounts of Pathing and the Chimera Shot glyph trying to square Whitefyst's ideas about haste plateaus with Mr. Robot's. I switched my current shoulders (359 t11) with the various Flickering... random enchant shoulders off of Beth'tilac, reforged as needed (hit to cap>crit>haste>mastery), and ran Simulationcraft. In every case, my current shoulders resulted in better numbers. I ran multiple simulations for each set up and the current shoulders averaged around 1,000 dps better. Losing the t11 shoulders breaks up the t11 2-piece bonus, but that's generally considered to be a pretty trivial dps increase. Any ideas as to why I'm seeing this result? Just given the raw stat increase, I assumed I'd see an increase of a few hundred dps.

Running SimCraft hits around 29500 dps (29494 on the last test)

Here's the presumed better profile--I went with Windflurry and reforged to 8.01% hit.

I'm showing a 300 dps increase, which makes sense considering you gain nearly 1% crit/haste and 60 agility, for 1% mastery and a 5% crit chance on an ability that does 3% of your total damage. I have no idea how you had over a 1000 DPS difference, but odds are a setting was different.

The item error sounds like a corrupt cache.

I created a simple report at Simulationcraft.org simulating Hunters in T12 heroic gear, but with their tier12 set bonus disabled and tier13 activated.

The old MM Aimed shot profile is renamed to MM_Aimed, and the new MM basic profile is using both Arcane and Aimed, trying to get the Tier13 4pc buff and dumping focus with Aimed until the buff expires.

My changes were very rudimentary and certainly a lot more could be tweaked, but it clearly shows two main points most people already guessed:

- MM should really use the strong 4pc bonus with a combination of Arcane and Aimed. Pure Aimed Shot now performs even worse than Arcane Shot.

- BM closes much of the gap. You can clearly see in the ability breakdown how the BM decreases his need for Cobra Shots because of the 2pc bonus and therefore increases the number of Arcane Shots, thus guaranteeing near constant 4pc buff uptime.


Ps. Unfortunately there is no Tier13 or 4.3 Thread in the Hunter forum. Still I didn't want to intrude the FD thread with a SimulationCraft report, or the more specific MM Guide.

Edit: Regarding the ICD of Tier13 4pc: Please show a credible source for your statement. All there is in the Hunter forums is the assumption in FD that it must have a ICD, which then is choosen arbitrary to 45s since there is no data available. ( Source )

Of course adding an user configurable ICD option to simc is something easily done, guess I'll do that.

Last I knew, 4pc had a ~45s ICD with a ~40% proc chance. You've modeled it with no ICD at all.

The default T13H profile for Survival (Simulationcraft Results) seems to be missing glyphs, or if they are being read from the wowhead profile somehow, they don't seem to show up on that profile. I realize the automated runs aren't meant to be "best DPS for the spec" or anything, but including glyphs probably can't hurt.

I think the current best prime glyphs are working out to Explosive, Arcane and Kill:

glyphs=arcane_shot/explosive_shot/kill_shot

Also it looks like the profile is using the old X-ray scope instead of the new one ([Flintlocke's Woodchucker]).

Thanks, I've fixed it in r10523 and the results will appear in the automatic sims in a couple of hours.

The fix for Survival is there, thanks, but MM and BM should also have [Flintlocke's Woodchucker] as their bow enchant instead of X-ray scope. And as far as I know changing cloak and gloves enchant for Marksmanship to +65 crit and +65 mastery would be a minor DPS increase (10-15 DPS each).

Does SimulationCraft have the Resistance is Futile buff available for simulation? I tried adding different variations of the buff into the sim, but I can't seem to get anything to work.
