No, actually. Charge (and Dive for flying pets) only immobilize the target for 1 second, they don't interrupt spells.

You could use a gorilla for pummel to interrupt (manual cast, I think), however I don't know how worth it it would be. I personally don't have issues dpsing the add without an interrupt... at least in 10m, haven't had a chance in 25 yet.

Does anyone know if Deterrence causes you to avoid a bite? I have always assumed it does and I haven't tried it out. I may "accidentally" pop it before I get bitten tonight and see.

Does not prevent it. It's a bit a of a pain to sift through the logs for when I pop deterrence and other things to update this list, is there an easy way / proper way of doing this? I just went through all my death logs because I remembered this happening.

WoL -> Expression Editor -> targetname="Guaguasi" and (spell="Deterrence" or type IN (TYPE_DAMAGE,TYPE_MISS))

Would it be possible to move prime311's list of mechanics theorized/tested/confirmed (ICC Hunter Strats and Tips) into the first post of the thread, and keep it updated? It's a handy reference, and people have been posting updates to it for a while nicely, but having it buried on page 3 of the thread, and (I think) not updated with people's results makes it less useful than it could be.

What can an SV do when ported into Frostmourne room, especially in 25 man setting? I haven't reached p3 myself in both 25 and 10 man settings, but a friend confirmed that both Scatter and Trap don't work (as was also confirmed on the post referred by alienangel above). Being undead, pretty sure Wyvern Sting won't work either. This friend also confirmed that he was able to power through the Warden's HP just fine in 10 man setting, but he hasn't tried it in 25 man (on which, I presume, the Warden would have an increased HP). Has any SV hunter managed to tackle this problem successfully?

I know, one of the easier answer is to "respec MM". In my raid situation however, it is not entirely possible due to the fact that we don't have shadowpriest and our sole Ret paladin has to respec for healing during LK fight, and as such I have to provide Replenishment for the raid.

If you're really worried about it, I suppose you could bring along a gorilla as an interrupt. I think as SV you should be able to DPS through it in time though.

I've only been ported twice on 25 man, both times as MM. The first time waited a bit on DPS since I still had my silencing shot macroed into my Chimera Shot, and failed to kill it in time (or just died inside somehow, not really sure what happened). The second time I just nuked as soon as I zoned in, and the mob was dead a fair bit before it could kill the warden.

If all else fails you could look into trying a Nether Ray pet out for the fight. It'd be a dps loss, but it does have an interrupt, and as a cunning pet you might get some additional benefits out of it to compensate for some of the loss of not using a wolf/ferocity pet. I suspect it'd do more damage than a gorilla.

It's possible you can just burst through on 25 though, I haven't tried it but I can confirm it works on 10.

I can confirm that Wyvern Sting does not work on the Spirit Warden. As a blood elf, I got my racial which does work, but I have been able to just burn them down in both 10 and 25 man.

I do not actually know if the HP of the Warden changes between 10 and 25 mans, but it would make sense if it is the same in both. Unlike in pretty much every other situation there are no number differences between 10 and 25 mans: you are solo down there in either. Only difference might be one or two more buffs on you, but with drums and scrolls, buffs are rarely a problem in 10 man. This is just speculation, I will take a look at the hp next time I have the opportunity.

I have done it both as MM with macroed Silencing Shot and with my usual Survival spec for this fight (MM mana problems etc...). I had absolutely no problems bursting through that HP on time. I guess it is somewhat gear dependent, however I don't believe anyone who have reached that point in progression should struggle with it.

If you are not feeling confident going into that phase regardless, I would suggest you save your CDs and making sure they are up if you get dragged in. Sure, it will decrease your overall dps slightly, but at least you will make sure you are not "that person, who fucked the raid up".

Haven't been on in a while, but did a quick search, and the following have to be added to the post ICC Hunter Strats and Tips.

MC - DS - Y -- Master's Call works on the slow effect that Saurfang applies when the beasts are out. (Hard Mode)

DT - PP - Y -- Deterrence will work on Malleable Oozes that target you directly. It will negate all damage ONLY if you are the target (and the slow casting effect), and will not affect the AoE damage (or slow effect) if you are splashed. Great help for those times you're targetted by the green ooze and Malleable'd at the same time.

DT - FG - N -- I'd assume that if Malleable's are Deterrence-able in PP, than they would be in the Festergut (Hard Mode) encounter as well. Haven't bothered testing since moving a step to the left or right or Disengaging is far easier.

I've been updating it. The date of the last update is at the bottom of the post. Theres also a link to the post in the first post of this thread, which is the best the mod had told me they could do given their options with the forums.

It doesnt. Whiping the other day with one on me and I feigned and it still spawned.

Given the revised BM Hunter talent (Beast Mastery: Ferocious Inspiration: This ability is now an aura and provides 1/2/3% damage to all party or raid members within 100 yards and boosts the damage of Steady Shot by 3/6/9%), what are your thoughts on respeccing for DPS races like BQL or Festergut hard mode?

Seems like if you already have one MM hunter (for TSA), Ferocious inspiration would be a nice raidwide damage buff.

Arcane Mages and Ret Pallies provide the 3% damage buff. If your raid has neither of those, then BM will most likely be a raid dps upgrade. Otherwise it will definitely be a downgrade (over marks).
