Is there a simple way in Rawr to turn off profession specific items? I am not a JC or Enchanter, so I am wanting to easily discard the JC-only gems and Enchanter-only enchants. Not a big deal, but would be nice.

Filters dropdown, in the top right, can turn off JC-only items (and many other professions). That won't affect enchants, however.

And again, we've got a massive revamp of the gemming system coming, so don't worry about problems with gemming.

This may come off as lazy, but I really have looked all over in Rawr and I cant for the life of me find out where it shows you the suggested spellcast rotations?

Another question, does Rawr take into account clipping AM at 4/5 for a buffed ABarr?

You can see the cycles selected by the solver on Stats tab in Solution section if you hover over the * next to Spell Cycles.

2.1.8 only supports latency combos without clipping, clipping options are coming in next version.

Some graphic like simcraft mana gains grafic.

I decided to try and rely on Rawr to help me figure out arcane somewhat, and when I looked at cloak enchants, I got some weirdness:
Lightweave Embriodery: 33.77 dps
Speed (15 haste): 13.26 dps
Wisdom (10 spi): 3.78 dps
Greater Speed (23 haste): 0 dps

If I bump up the fight length to 600s from 180s, Greater Speed now has a non-zero benefit, but is still lower than Speed. If I bump it down to 60, Greater Speed is better than Speed. I mean I understand that at some fight durations, 8 haste rating doesn't get another spell finished and has no benefit, but if that's what's going on, Greater Speed should be listed the same as Speed.

Also, I'm confused about Lightweave coming out on top - was Lightweave changed in 3.0.8, or is the math wrong, or is the previous TC math on Lightweave wrong?

Also, while we're talking about cloak enchants, would it be a pain to add Darkweave in there since arcane can do a lot with extra mana?

That thing with haste enchants looks like a bug. Could you post the xml where this happens?

It's possible that lightweave is not modeled correctly. I went based on what info I found on wowhead, 45 sec internal cooldown, 50% proc rate, otherwise being affected by the same effects as other procs like capacitor for example.

Does anyone have proc/internal cooldown data for darkglow embroidery?

It seems newest version of Rawr still has the old hyperspeed accelerators enchant. The new one is 350 haste rating for 10 sec every 60 sec, making it alot better than 28 spellpower.

Also, dont know if it's hard to set up, but can you show the dps when synced with AP etc? Because with 2 min CD it will pretty much allways be synced, in addition to the extra use in between.

Just downloaded 2.1.8. This has probably been reported already, but just in case.


Illustration of the Dragon Soul is bugged, and has no spell damage value. Tried adding it in, either I added it wrong or adding it isn't working either.


I added the 200 in the spell damage spot under misc.

Possibly silly questions, I'm still getting to grips with how this works:

With 53/18/0 Arcane + Scorch spec, Rawr suggests the rotation "ABABarCSc". Presumably that's Arcane Blast, Arcane Barrage, but what's the CSc? Something Scorch?

When I'm looking at "Talent Specs" in the comparison window, this spec reads as 3485dps. If I take out 4 points of Missile Barrage, that drops to 3379dps; is that correct? Only a 100dps loss for dropping 4 points out of the talent? If I drop the 5th point, the dps dives down to 2574.

ABABarCSc is ABABarC with maintaining scorch. ABABarC is AB-ABar and on proc replacing ABar with MBAM-ABar combo.

Are you looking at the lower talent chart in the custom chart section? The generic one is not accurate for mage model. The reason why dps drops so much if you drop all points in barrage is because most cycles have an assumption that missile barrage is available, so if you don't have it there's a lot less cycles available and they are not optimized for that situation. It could be possible to remove this assumption but it's a low priority.

Hyperspeed accelerator's have STILL not been fixed in the newest release and they have NEVER been modeled accurately (allowing to stack with other c/ds instead of modeling as passive haste). Will we see a fix on this soon?

edit: also potion of wild magic is not being modeled correctly since it was buffed in 3.0.8

Wild magic is fixed in the dev version. For Hyperspeed Accelerators I doubt there will be a fix soon. I'm not exactly sure why some words have to be all caps, but it definitely won't make me fix it sooner, more the opposite.

I have used rawr for awhile now and found it very accurate and informative. I also have noticed in the past any discrepancies in the model were quickly taken care of where as with hyperspeed accelerator's you have been doing it incorrectly from day one and continue to do so. These are the little things that when they start to add up get people to stop using or trusting the results from one model and to use another, and I would like to see rawr remain as the best model out there.

If with what you're referring as needing a fix is the change from 8 sec to 10 sec, that's an easy fix and is in for next release. Having it behave as cooldown is another story and I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. If I add it I'll probably add troll berserking at the same time.
