Hi folks,
I've searched these forums and a handful of others looking for good advice about the new Darkmoon Cards, specifically how they pertain to mage dps. I realize that items like
[Illustration of the Dragon Soul] are far superior, but for those of us that are just starting to run some 25 mans that might not see this drop for a little while (let alone win one), what's the best (for raiding, cookie-cutter FFB)?
Perhaps I'm not seeing much advice on this because
[Darkmoon Card: Illusion] is the only viable choice. Is this the case? There was a post in the Warlock forum that stated
[Darkmoon Card: Death] has a 45s internal CD, so that one seems pretty lackluster to me.
And can someone confirm that
[Darkmoon Card: Greatness] is nigh useless for mages? If the +int proc actually gave mana temporarily I could see this being useful, but I highly doubt that it does, in which case it's probably only good the miniscule amount of crit, evocations during the proc and a little bit more Replenishment mana, etc.
If Illusion is the best, I must say I'm a little disappointed at the strength of these trinkets for casters given the absurd mat cost and RNG favor required in obtaining them, especially when compared to how the Greatness trinket fares for other dps classes (i.e., nearly best-in-slot).
