How are you getting your first Inquisition up? From the Buffs Gained page it looks like it takes almost 25 seconds before you have it active the first time. This is a considerable loss in potential damage done. Furthermore, Inquisition drops off another 3-4 (it is hard to tell whether the last drop is because the fight ends, or because it expired) times, for about 6, 3 and 4 seconds respectively.
If you click on the # next to the spell you can see its up-time against the boss fight time-line.

I've tried activating Inq at one or two hp at the beginning of the fight...it has helped the numbers quite a bit.
Anything else you notice?

Hi,
Sorry seeking advice regarding Retribution's censure.
Myself: World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis
vs
Fellow guildie ret: World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis
So basically I do not understand how come my censure ticks for soooo much less. How would I keep up censure uptime to maximize my dps? I understand I lose out because he probably does more HoW than me, as well as probably having better Art of War procs for more exorcisms? But my censure ticks is less than half of his. Now I'm really not understanding what happens here...
Also, would appreciate any other advice you can give me to improve my DPS.

You forgot to switch back to SoT after you used SoR (for aoe-ing the adds, I assume). Your SoR buff uptime is 51%.

As with many other players in this thread, I'm looking for general performance advice. I feel like I can do better with the gear I have. When in combat, I know I'm not the most calm player. That is, I simply forget to use some abilities that I should use more often because I'm concentrating on keeping my targets up.
This is a WoL log of our feeble attempts at Shannox heroic yesterday, as well as a few normal FL boss kills. We have had succesful kills on Shannox heroic, but some strange things were happening. Still, it might provide insight in my healing performance.

Specifically, I'm looking for gear advice (have currently reforged a lot into haste but I'm not sure if it's giving me that much benefits) and advice on which abilities I'm not using enough, or not using properly. Also, how important is it that I try to get the 4 piece bonus for 4.3?

Mainly this looks like a case of essentially not hitting enough buttons. I know that doesn't seem helpful but I'll elaborate a little bit. In a 4 and a half minute fight you had 44 crusader strikes. This equates to a crusader strike roughly every 6 seconds. Even at the base CD of CS of 4.5 seconds this is way above that. Now you won't be hitting CS every time it's up as soon as it's up because of other abilities/procs clashing but it should still be lower than that. For a comparison one of my recent parses had 65 crusader strikes in about the same duration. Granted it's 25 with full buffs and I have more gear but it still gives you some idea. If you don't have 3 HP and CS is off CD you need to be hitting it, it's very important.
Moving along to your next main ability, Templar's Verdict, you managed only 16 of those for the whole fight. Some of this is due to having fewer CS's but still with heroism popped and using your zealotry along with it you should be able to enter a CS/TV rotation and get off almost half of those TV's in that 20 seconds alone. You also had 10 divine purpose procs throughout the fight so that's probably 6-8 TV's as well, accounting for some waste/inquisition refreshes. Again for comparison I had 44 TV's in a 4.5 minute H Baelroc kill.
Lastly your exorcisms compared to your Art of War procs may be a little bit low. Some of the procs will get wasted due to higher priority abilities being up or proccing over itself but out of 18 procs you performed 10 exorcisms. Exorcism is fairly high in the priority list and you want to be utilizing those procs as best you can while maintaining that order.
Your character itself looks OK spec/gear/reforge wise but swap your prime judgment glyph for glyph of exorcism, it's superior. Your boots can be reforged but I'm assuming you forgot to do that since they're relatively new. Mining isn't a raiding profession so that has an impact, albeit a small one. Some enchants aren't the ideal versions (gloves/back) but again that's a pretty minor increase.
I'm not sure if you're running the CLCret mod but if not it'd be a good idea and will probably help you quite a bit. Other than that it just seems like there's excessive idle time in your rotation. You need to focus on hitting all those abilities quickly while maintaining raid awareness. You should be waiting on the game most of the time, not the other way around. Below is a link to the parse I used for comparison purposes if you're curious.

My Healing is said to be not up to par with what my raid needs me to do... Any suggestions on how to fix this and make me a better healer?

2) You should be casting more Holy Radiance (HR) in your 25 mans (and thus more Light of Dawns). For Yor'sahj, you only get 14 holy power from HR in the almost 7 min fight. In contrast, in my attempt, I got 55 holy power. A typical "rotation" would be 2x HR + HS --> Light of Dawn (or with a proc, 1xHR + 2x HS --> Light of Dawn). On this note, you are using holy light too much. It just doesn't have the HPS for heavy damage. If a single target needs direct heals, use Divine Light, but if they need to just be "topped off" don't bother. I find you're better off just melee swinging the boss for mana, using Divine Plea, refreshing judgement, repositioning, or whatever during these lulls than spamming holy light.
Some of your "low" healing may also be due to the fact that you're running with 6 other healers. My overheal for HR was ~24% while yours was ~37%.
I hope this helps.

I'm feeling that i am doing something wrong because the dps im outputing is not that great and i just can't find whats wrong.

World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis
Don't look at Morchok HC wipes because i wasn't in for those.
My settings in CLCret
Normal Prio: inqa inqrhp tvhp cs j inqrdp tvdp exoud exo how hw cons
Zealotry Prio: inqa inqrhp tvhp cs inqrdp tvdp exoud exo how j hw cons
Inq: Time before refresh 4.5 min HP apply/refresh 2.
Judgement clash: 0
HW clash: 0.8
Conc clash: 1.5
I have had major FPS issues during these raids wich is worth mentioning, although when i did LFR ultraxion with lower settings and better FPS i was only able to do about 30.5k DPS wich is a slight increase but not that much.
The two things that i'm suspecting might be wrong is my prio of judgment, i have 2pt13 so i figured i'd place it after CS in prio since it does a tiny bit less dmg. The other thing is HoW vs Exo. seems with Avenging wrath nerf Exo seems better but i might be wrong (maybe seals of command proc of HoW making it better).
Thank you for your help.

As far as the priority set up in clcret is concerned I believe your judge should be jhp, for judgement holy power now that you have 2 piece but to be honest I'm not sure if that even has an effect on how the mod would operate.
We'll start with the character itself. Not having T12 2 piece with your T13 2 piece isn't doing you any favors. I understand that might not be possible with the particular pieces you've obtained and certainly don't drop T13 2 pc, but usually you try to maintain 2 pc + 2 pc as you upgrade from one tier to another. Your gear looks good from an enchant perspective, mining isn't a raiding profession so that's a small increase if you swapped it out, and you could be reforging better. I just ran your character through a tool like WoW Reforge Calculator & Optimizer and you could squeeze an extra 250 mastery out of it by sacrificing some crit/haste/excess hit.
Looking at your better fight, in this case Ultraxion, your damage breakdown, proc usage, and inq uptime seem OK. It looks like in a pure patchwerk setting like this you can handle yourself alright. You could probably front load a little more damage based on when you're using hero/time warp. It looks like you popped hero 15 seconds in or so and by that time you should have guardian out, zealotry and avenging wrath up, and a pot going. Anyways this is an example of a fight where you generally seem to be doing things correctly.
What really seems to be the issue for you is when movement and various dodging raid mechanics get introduced. Every fight has its own little nuances for you to try to maximize your dps through but I'll just touch on Morchok a little bit since that is arguably your worst. First your inquisition uptime falls from 90%+ to 72%. Your ability usage also drastically falls off. For example: in your ultraxion fight that lasted 313 seconds you had 72 crusader strikes for an average time between use of 4.3 seconds, on Morchok you had 33 crusader strikes over 210 seconds for an average time between use of 6.4 seconds. That's a huge difference. I know there's some time off target but you can bubble and then divine protection one of the blood phases and stay on the boss. And if you do have to run you can get in LoS and still judge/cast an exo or two on the boss to do a little bit of damage and keep your censure stack up. It seems like one of the blood phases you lost your censure stack as your dps effectively went to zero. That's a huge dps loss ramping back up when you get back on the boss. There was also plenty of time in this fight for a second set of CDs and I only see one. Since you're not using hero you should probably just load it all on the front, guardian, wings, zealotry, pot. You'd be able to get another set of wings/zealotry in before the 2nd blood phase if you're quick enough with the first.
I won't get in to every single fight in DS but you get the idea. Most semi-competent players can handle just cycling through their rotation in a patchwerk/target dummy type setting. The separation you're seeing comes from being able to maintain these rotations while dealing with various raid mechanics. There really isn't any quick fix for you. It's just going to take practice and you becoming more comfortable with the dragon soul boss encounters. I know this may not be what you were hoping to hear but I hope it is helpful nonetheless.

Hi,
I posted recently regarding my dps, seeking the answer to a simple question re. using AW and Zealotry together or in sequence - I got the answer to that query, but I feel I could benefit from some expert analysis of my dps so will post a world of logs result here in the hope of some further advice.
I note you ask for a world of logs parse - unfortunately I don't know how to do this so will simply post the full report. If this isn't acceptable then maybe someone can point me to some advice as to how to get the information I want from world of logs? For example, I'm not sure I have inquisition up as much as I should (it's presently keybound to a "little finger" key and I may miss it sometimes) but I don't know how to get world of logs to give me this info.
Character name is Mungus, realm Hellfire (EU). The Shannox fight isn't typical as I was asked to concentrate on the two dogs until they went down - the Beth'tilac and Baleroc fights are my usual performance. It may be worth noting also that on the beth'tilac fight we don't put a dps up with the tank and healer any more.

When you're looking at the damage done for a specific fight on World of Logs you can click on a player to get a specific breakdown for that player. Once you're on that page you can click the "Buffs gained" tab and you can see inquisition and other buff uptimes in there. In regards to that, yes you are correct in believing your inquisition uptime is low. Most the fights I looked at have you at 80-85%, you need to get that up.
Outside of the issues with inquisition I see one huge red flag. You seem to be really neglecting zealotry. You used zealotry twice on shannox, where there was time to use it 3 times, you used avenging wrath 3 times so zealotry should be the same. Looking at baelroc you didn't use zealotry once. You can really see the ramifications of this in your damage breakdown. On baelroc, Templar's Verdict is your 6th highest damage ability and only 8.6% of your total output. In a good ret parse TV should be first or 2nd, trading places with hand of light depending on particular mastery levels and so on. Your hand of light damage is also low but this is a byproduct of your lack of zealotry and corresponding lack of TV. You really need to focus on using that CD. Building holy power and using your finishers(TV/inquisition) is the bread and butter of ret.
If you've read any of my other posts you'll see the 2 biggest problems I notice are poor inquisition uptimes and low crusader strike usage. Here again you could be getting in a lot more crusader strikes on a fight like baelroc. 41 CS over 4 minutes equates to a CS roughly every 5.8 seconds and a total holy power gain of only 41. If you were to focus on using crusader strike on CD (when you don't have 3 HP that is) and using zealotry you could see a significant damage increase. Just to give a comparison, in a baelroc parse of exactly the same fight length I recorded 57 crusader strikes, 89 holy power gained, and 38 TV's. So by hitting CS more often, and utilizing zealotry, you could more than double your holy power gain and more than double your TV's. Remember just about every ability you use is another chance at a divine purpose proc. Try just practicing these basics on a target dummy for a while, eventually it should really feel second nature.
