I apologize if this has been discussed before and I've missed it - simple question: does the threat generated by other party/raid members getting healed by Judgement of Light go to the "light-judging" paladin?

Yes it does...
best scales with ret paladin, but gives him a lot of threat in 25 mens.

I saw Hylo's and Ranudabi's combat logs for Judgement on the EU forums.
World of Warcraft (en) Forums -> Judgement bug is THIS bad

If I recall I saw someone bandying about the theory that its the [Glyph of Judgement] that is causing this, has it ever been confirmed? I've noticed it happening to me every now and then, and it really distrupts my flow whenever it happens.

For a paladin; who hasn't seen much time since 2.2, with heavy spell power gear is it best to stay as holy for leveling or swap out gear as it becomes available and do protection? From what I have read here the bias is towards protection and retribution for leveling so is there any room for holy? If as holy, what is an ideal rotation in single and multiple mob pulls?

Holy is pretty much dead for leveling, at least that's what my holy friends say. Both Ret and Prot are fast levelers, the only difference is in the way they do it. I entered zone and made it by hit&run tactics, facemelting everything, soloing 3 men quests (BT gear). My protection friend entered the same zone, and steadily steamrolled through. I saw him while he were partied, his hitpoints were just not dropping down at all. He was able to solo same things as I did, sligtly bigger problems witms with casters, but owned me on melee elites (T5/ZA/2.4 badge gear). So the only question here is if you want to stare at 3.5+swing timer and see big crits, or move slowly through hundreds of mobs and see them crush on your armor.

Now a bit more seriously - prot will kill slower, but your gear is more suitable for it imho. I suggest you to hit Northrend as prot in your holy gear (or some prot offspec pieces you have gathered) and gather green ret gear there. Try out ret when you are ready, if you don't like prot way. Decide and go level. Hope this personal isight helped. Good luck!

Borean Tundra has some ret libram somewhere as quest reward btw...

Yeah you are right, the rogue's master poisoner is only for 3% crit not hit, my bad. Btw, anyone use "http://www.maxdps.com"? There's a ret pally gear list containing the top gears from all sources. I'm wondering if it's a reliable source we can count on for gear choices?

Libram of Furious Blows

It's actually not bad for a prot leveling set either, if you don't have Tome of the Lightbringer (which I don't). Autoattacks, SoB/SotM, Avenger's Shield, Hammer, and Shield of the Righteous can all crit. I plan to use it when I get it until I can the Venture Co. one.

EDIT:
For Neverest, I don't know how it is now, but in the past MaxDPS has been notoriously wrong on a number of mechanics for many different classes. Perhaps it is more reliable now, I don't know, but I never counted on it in the past.

Excuse the noobness of the question but,

What is the target hit rating for 5man and heroic 5mans?

Imp Hammer of Justice

I've been reading through the pally tank threads and haven't seen anyone here mention (unless I missed it in an abbreviation) Imp Hammer of Justice as a possible talent to pick up that we never would have before. I read elsewhere that it now interrupts spells even on mobs that cannot be stunned (increasing its usefulness by a lot in my book).

Anyone else care to weigh in on Imp Hammer of Justice? Would you pick it up at 80? Or is it assumed that your 25 man raid will have others to do your interrupts for you...?

Does anyone know the new spell power co-efficient for FoL, HL and HS since WotLK?

In the Holy Paladin Thread, Int and Crit are valued much higher than haste or mp5.

Does that mean that the bracers from Azjol-Nerub Heroic [Flamebeard's Bracers] are better than the bracers from Naxxramas Heroic [Abetment Bracers] ?

If I would socket a 12 critical strike rating gem, the difference would be 37 critical strike rating vs 37 haste and 12mp5.

The Abetment Bracers are better - maybe try picking up some extra crit on the rest of your gear.

I can confirm that this isnt the case, as while specced Holy for instance runs while the rest of my guild gets to 80, i am still getting the random disappearing judgement, wherein nothing happens, but i get a GCD and mana loss. I Traded all my glyphs just to try out the new ones and its still happening. Its more likely an issue having to do with the hotfix patch to 100% judgement hits and/or some kind of mis-sync of the client and server. Either way it is very damned annoying.

Very true, in H-Naxx with vigilance on me and popping HoSalv as soon as it comes off cooldown i pretty much immediatly take aggro on add spawns and sometimes on offtank nonfocus targets as well. The way i look at it, as long as im the one taking heal aggro it means there's a clothie off in the back corner who can safely heal me :P

the proper way to dps as prot spec

In raids, Im going to be the OT prot pally. For the fights that only need one tank, Ill be on dps duty.

What dps stat gear should I focus on with a prot spec? Ive had some tell me crit, some haste, others say stay with stam for SP.
Or is there any reliable programs to show differences (Rawr, etc)

Secondly, what cast rotation has done the best dps without going oom?

Thanks

Grymwish, I believe the absolute best stat is going to be strength. Haste is relatively worthless; it only ups your autoattack damage. Same for armor penetration, as the vast majority of Prot attacks deal Holy damage. Stamina's contribution to spellpower is nice, but not worth gearing for from a dps perspective.

Most Prot attacks can miss and most can crit, but basically all scale with strength. Thus, strength, hit, and crit are likely the best stats to prioritize when you are DPSing rather than off-tanking.

I'm not aware of any current spreadsheets or programs to calculate the exact weighting, but I'm poking around to see what I can find. I've a line out in the Prot thread about this, and if I can't find one I may make one...

The DPS rotation would be the same as a tanking rotation minus Holy Shield: 9/6/9/6/9, where the 6's and 9's represent spells with those cooldowns.
