Patch Notes:
Ardent Defender: In addition, once every 2 minutes an attack that would have killed the paladin will fail to kill, and instead heal the paladin for up to 10/20/30% of maximum health depending on the paladin's defense rating (example: a paladin with defense equal to only 5 times his or her level will receive no healing from the talent, while a paladin who is immune to critical strikes from boss creatures through defense will receive the maximum amount)

Quick Question:
For arena I am Prot/Holy, if I put one +def gem (Enduring Eye of Zul 15 Stam 10 Def) does that mean I will "resurrect" at 10% health? If you have 400 defense does the resurrect function work at all?

Unlikely. If I recall correctly (my tank is a DK, so normal assumptions go out the window), you need 690 defense rating to become uncrittable. If that provides the max health "resurrect" of 30% and it is linear (always possible it is not), then every 23 rating should be 1%.

10 rating from one gem should be less than half a percent. In example, if you had 25000 health and 10 defense rating you would "resurrect" with 125 health.

I want to ask about glyphs for a prot paladin:

Before 3.2 patch I was using "Glyph of Seal of Vengeance" for the 10 expertise (82 expertise rating).
I considered it the optimal choice in terms of stats.

Now comes the change to "Glyph of Righteous Defense" which now affects 'Hand of Reckoning' ability and increases theirs chance to apply by 8%.

Now I am interested to learn which 1 is better?

The pros about Glyph of SoV is that is always grants the stat and is not affected by conditions like Glyph of RD (When taunting isn't necessary).
Also It does not Improve the hit rating of other talents you may want to be capped like Avenger's shield.

I want to hear your opinions. Thanks.

Does anyone have a link to the holy/prot hybrid healing spec?

Most prot paladins will be using SoV, Divine plea, and RD or HoSalv for their gylphs. RD and HoSalv are both situational and you might want to change back and forth depending on the situation.

I use Glyph of Divine Plea and HoR (I find it really good on for multiple targets)... I am using glyph of SoV and it is the only 1 I think of replacing... That is why I want to know with what to stick up glyph of SoV or RD.

What's the current consensus for Holy gemming in 3.2? I've heard straight int for yellow/red, and int/mp5 for blue, but with the stat weight changes, might gemming sp/int in red to gain socket bonuses be better overall than straight int?

Yes, divinity is a decent talent. Otherwise it would be worthless.

[Brilliant King's Amber]
[Luminous Ametrine]
[Dazzling Eye of Zul]

Are my current picks, trying to pick up most of the "worthy" socket bonuses.

I will resume serious raiding this week, so I'll be able to test and adjust accordingly.

That is what I have gone with also for gems.

Question: If I have 5/5 in Divinity and Judge Light, if the tank Judges light it will not overwrite it? So everyone attacking gets 2% of their health plus the 5% bonus.

When your healing really counts, you will be using Holy Light, so spellpower's importance hasn't changed that much.

The newest JoL will be put up there, regardless of Divinity. This was an issue in 3.0-3.1 if Prot/Holy judged Light after a Ret did. That said, it isn't much of a difference, but everything adds up.

Is there a general rule for which Paladin spells start you auto-attacking and which ones do not?
