So there have been some recent upgrades to the Rawr Tankadin model. For example, you can now optimize your gear set based on health, avoidance, block, uncritability, unhitability, etc. This makes finding the perfect block set much easier - as now you can select all relevant buffs, then let the program find the best block set with x health.
For example, I used the following:
Optimize for Block Value
% Chance to be Hit <=0
% Chance to be Crit <=0
Health >= 35000
I selected all raid buffs you'd expect in a 25 man raid: Str of Earth, Imp Comm Shout, Imp Fort, Imp MotW, BoK, Def Elixir, Guru's Elixir...
and ended up with the following:
35086 Health
26973 Armor
2567 BV + Libram proc
547 Def
46.13% total avoid

Block value novelty sets aside, I also wanted to ask how everyone is using Rawr's optimizer, if anyone is using it. I felt lately that I have more health than I need and would like to balance BV and Avoid a little more...but I'm really not sure how much health is "enough" for current content (not worried about Ulduar right now). I am the MT of my guild. I was at ~42000 hp raid buffed before, but swapped some things around and am now at ~40,000...I want to drop lower, but am not really sure how much lower I can drop and get away with...maybe 37,000?
