I am looking for input on the next iteration of my spreadsheet. Specifically I am looking at changing some of the ways I calculate DPS to simplify updates and errorchecking and I want feedback. Please do not fill this thread with replies unless you have something you feel everyone needs to see/comment on, just PM me your thoughts.

Firstly I am looking at eliminating the two categories of Above 20% and Below 20% and having all the DPS numbers just show for the whole fight. Does anyone actually make use of them as they are?

Second, does anyone care about having specific stats for each race be available, or is that level of precision just unnecessary?

Lastly, this is the time to request specific features if you want them or just let me know if you have complaints. The next version is going out this week I hope and it will have a ton of updates, hopefully the last updates needed this xpac.

Hey Redcape,

I would love a 'gear import' feature. It's fairly easy if you 'borrow' the work from the hunter sheet. (assuming they're fine with it) The largest problem is creating an entry for each piece of gear, but i think you can just import the stats per item as opposed to trying to match up items to a pre-created list.

I actually think you can pull the individual stats of each piece of gear from the armory, or wowhead. Although i think it would be more complicated to create that html string than it would for individuals to just update their gear stats.

Just wondering. But given with the discovery that the 4set increases seal tick damage does the vengeance dot scale with AP?

Since the dot is incapable of critting, i would think that would make strength slightly more valuable or maybe just widen the gap between strength and crit. I realize that the 4set also increases seal damage and judgment damage, which are capable of critting. Has any consideration been given to the effects of the 4set to crit rating given that it does in fact increase the seal tick? A little light bulb in the back of my mind just has an implication that it would change stat weights. Possibly making crit less valuable even if only slightly.

The sheet takes all these things into consideration already.

Whether or not I make an import gear feature is unclear. It would be a bunch of work and rewriting so I don't know if I will go there.

Version 4.2 is now live. Major changes:

Added support for Eng Rockets, Bryntroll, TAiaJ.

Substantial layout revamp.

Fixed mechanics for % damage modifier stacking for seals and strikes.

A number of small improvements to haste modelling and 2t10 modelling.
