On Maloriak you can really up your HPS with proper spell usage on Dark phase. use PoM on cooldown on the Slime tank, it'll bounce to all the melee who are eating pools and almost always have its charges completely used up in the 10s. Also CoH on cooldown during Dark phase will help your HPS a lot. Its very HPM effecient, use it every keypress when the situation is appropriate. Your CoH usage was extremely low, try to fix that.

Fraction change Horde-->Alliance

After 6 years I HAVE TO switch to alliance.

My beloved bloodelf will be transformed into another race.

I will miss my Arcane Torrent so much.

I was wondering what I shall become.

I am doing PvE only. 10/12 HM atm.

Shall it be

- a gnome for the 5% bigger mana pool

- a human for "every man for himself" and 3% spirit

- or a worgen for 40% fast running

- or a dwarf for -10% damage

please give me you advises.

Thx

Are you healing or playing Shadow? Human is better than Gnome for both PvE specs (the 5% is of your BASE mana pool). Worgen also gives you 1% crit, and Draenei gives 1% hit and an extra heal. I would say Human / Worgen are the best choices. Include Draenei if you're planning on playing shadow.

I am talking about healing.

If it is BASE SPIRIT and BASE INT wow thats big difference to Arcane Torrent.

BTW can someone tell me if the racial "every man for himself" was of any use raiding like in cata or wrath?

I heave heard it wasn´t working for being mcced Chogall.

Or it is really more pvp racial?

Going human for only 3% more base spirit sound as little as bonus.

I mean every 2 min i get like almost 8k mana from arcane torrent.

Thanks for your opinions.

This is incorrect. Expansive Mind is based off your total mana, just as The Human Spirit is based off your total spirit.

I think it works on the stuns from Halfus, but as you can't interrupt it is of no real benefit to you.
Personally I would go for Worgen. An on demand sprint is helpful many times.

S-Priest pushing HM Question

So for my trinket's I'm currently using the JC serpent and DMCV and should be next in line for 372 Bell. I am 6/13 and pushing more hard modes each week. For whatever reason in our raid (25m) our AoE is kind of weak on fights like Maloriak. Once I get bell, should I swap to DMCV and Serp still in order to have a guaranteed spell power buff during green phase (we do ok on black) or rely on a proc for an even greater buff?

Why is "Inner Sanctum" disparaged as much as it for Discipline? The extra movement speed gets you to where you need to be to start healing sooner, and it's at least marginally useful for every Hard Mode fight. I really find it useful, even though I get much grief for choosing it over Strength of Soul.

You answered your own question. It's not considered as good as any of the things you'd have to give up to obtain it. It's totally not worth losing SoS, or anything else in most disc builds. An atonement skipping build might be able to make room for it, but you're still looking at a substantial trade off.

Will it be worth it as a Holy Priest to upgrade to T12 normal in Firelands from T11 heroic? The spirit loss will hurt early, but that can be compensated for if necessary... 2T12 would help. The main point here is that we frown upon getting heroic tier tokens in my guild if you lack the normal mode piece to upgrade, so I usually tend to upgrade sooner than later.

I only have the Heroic version of the chest and pants and the normal T12 upgrades are *still* better than both of those. So I'm inclined to say yes, replace those and it would be worth it. You may start off with less spirit, especially if you pick up off set pieces until you can get your hands on the tier pieces. But it should all even itself out in the end.

I'm quite excited about T12 and I look forward to getting my tier pieces as soon as possible. I wasn't too thrilled with T11 when it first came out and I didn't go after the 4 piece bonus until they changed Chakra to make it near permanent. I couldn't have cared less before that point.

Just as I thought, thanks for the answer. I was curious as I heard some rumours from other priests that the T11 would be better, but I could not possibly see why.

The only time I heard anything close to that being talked about is when the set bonuses were first released and people were really against the 4 piece, for some reason. There was talk of people taking the 2 piece healing bonus and the 2 piece shadow bonus and possibly keeping T11 until they could make that happen.

But since the shadow set bonus requires you to be in Shadowform to use, that went right out the window. Start collecting that T12, it looks to be a nice set for us. At least that's what I believe to be true.

Refreshing mechanics

On my Druid, whenever I refresh Lifebloom with Nourish/RG/HT, the LB is instantly refreshed,

Whenever I refresh Renew in Chakra: Serenity it seems to take an extra second or two to recalculate, falling off if I leave it with 1-2 seconds left. Similarly, when I'm Disc and have specced SoS the WS also seems to take a second or two before the 2/4 seconds are removed from the WS duration. I find this behaviour really annoying and am wondering if it is just me, or is there any tips to resolve this? Is it a bug (I assume so as LB refresh works perfectly).

I'm not really sure about how DOT refreshes work and have not noticed the behaviour when Shadow - but rarely play Shadow or Aff.

Thanks in advance

I have noticed this too and my guess is that it has to do with tick frequency, Lifebloom has an unusual high tick frequency of 1 tick/second while most (all?) other dots and hots tick every 3 seconds.
