Is there a reason reputation items are not listed?

More specifically the mace from wyrmrest accord at revered is pretty good for raid starting (I used it) aswell as the ring from argent crusade at exalted and the boots from knight of the ebon blade at exalted.

I would add the [Soul Preserver] from Mal'Ganis in Normal Culling of Stratholme as a good pre-raid trinket.

Are your 25man times in best in slow order? I have been looking for a site that is like maxdps.com but for healers cause the gear on that site is telling me to get gear with hit when I have holy selected. I was going to make a list for my guild but I figured I would search around and try to find if someone made one for themselves.

Thoughts on Wispcloak for pre-raid?

There isn't a generally agreed upon best-in-slot list for healers, so I kind of doubt this list is in a strict order (within ilvl brackets, which are a decent approximation of worth).

I have been updating one of these on my own guild forums and now some Ulduar gear has been leaked was going to update it again with the known gear when I get a chance. was wondering if this will be updated when T8 gear becomes available and whatever we will call Ulduar 10 gear (Tier 7.75? 0_o)

Suppose it'll be like now, so tier 8 for 10-man, and tier 8.5 for 25 man?

I grabbed [Arcane Flame Altar-Garb] from Gal'darah in Gundrak and don't see it on your list. Looks like a pretty nice disc chest to me.

Wand of the Archlich off of KT for wands is missing.

[Greatstaff of the Nexus] from 10-man Malygos is a good piece, despite having hit rating on it. Certainly better for a dps caster, but still potentially a nice upgrade.

I added the missing items, but anything with hit will not make the list. While hit items maybe upgrades in some cases, i have to draw the line in order to keep it a priest healer item list and not turn it into a caster list.

edit: I'm also a bit undecided if i should add the badge of heroism items to the first part. I'm considering to turn it into a "all you can get before stepping into a raid" tab.

If you added what instance the blues dropped in it would be a big help to those who havent memorized the heroic bosses yet.

Quite frankly, there are no clear winners for holy priests. Anything that could remotely qualify as "best-in-slot" is based on having a specific set of other items as well, so the best choice rides on the balance of your current stats. In general, whatever combination results in the largest sum of concurrent healing stats will be the best, and depending on what items your missing, a piece with haste might be more beneficial than one with crit. Some specific ideals are laid out in the compendium.

This thread is a good start and is something I'd definitely link to anyone making an alt.
