I am combat, but it keeps telling me to reforge to mastery when I use the auto reforge tool.
I thought the same thing with my gear, then I realised that it was because most of the time the gear it was telling me to reforge already had Haste on it (so couldn't reforge to that) and I was already capped on Expertise and Hit, so it wouldn't have made sense to reforge to either of those. Might this be the case with you?
Regarding hemo weaving:
With some hackery using Firebug, if I change the CP Builder value to '24' and swap in the Hemo glyph for Shadow Dance, I get about a 150 DPS bump in my current gear. This assumes using Backstab as a regular CP builder, throwing in a Hemo every 24 seconds to get the benefit of the glyph dot.
The model isn't outstanding - normally I try to refresh it with about 2 seconds left (so, every 22 seconds), but sometimes this coincides with shadow dance, movement, or other situations where a hemo might not be ideal. It at least demonstrates the value of the glyph, and I'd suggest a 'Hemo Weave' option be included in the CP Builder dropdown.
- Necklace of Smoke Signals cannot (as far as I am aware) be upgraded with a Crystallized Firestone to get a 391 version. I'd like to be wrong about this but I can't find any information that this item exists on live realms, just that it was apparently possible on PTR.
- A 391 version of Riplimb's Collar appears to be obtainable via Firestone on live but is not in Shadowcraft.
Patch 4.2 Hotfixes - August 16
"The Grab Bag dropped by all Firelands bosses should now occasionally contain Crystallized Firestones in Heroic difficulty."
It was, after seeing only 3 total in the last 6 weeks of raiding heroic bosses, we saw 3 out of the 6 heroic bosses we killed tonight. So they are a lot more common now, but as far as rogues are concerned, they are used for relatively minor upgrades, especially if you have [Belt of the Fallen Brood].
Shadowcraft shows DMC Hurricane would be a dps increase for me (vs Tia's Grace) but still shows the old tool tip. Which version of DMC Hurricane is the spreadhseet using? Resolved - player memory lapse.
I found something weird, more a minor bug then anything.
If you import my current gear in Mut spec - Ebrithil @ Windrunner-US - ShadowCraft - And then swap my shoulders to the heroic t12 which I picked up last night (can't use it yet, woo no vanq helm drops) and hit reforge, it reforges 4 pieces into and out of haste/hit. To get the same exact result. Does it prefer to reforge certain pieces over others or something?
It's probably just the first solution it finds to be optimal.
So in some way it does prefer certain pieces over others, I think in this case you can express it that way. Just don't think of it as a fixed list, it's probably just the first solution of multiple the reforger has found.
This may have been reported previously, but I have found that importing previously saved sets will leave the settings page in a confusing state. I think (?) that the settings are being saved as part of the set, and are being loaded correctly. But the checkmarks themselves which display seem to always show whatever settings were in place before the import occurred, i.e. they don't seem to be refreshing to what was just loaded.
For example, after loading up a saved set, I can go to an option that I know should be checked in this set, but which wasn't checked before I loaded it. It will display as if it were unchecked (even though it should be checked in the saved set). I can then click to turn it on, and SC will show a 0.0 DPS change. I can then click again to turn the option off, and I will get a changed dps value. If I click again to turn it on again, it will show the opposite dps change, as expected.
For info, the reason I noticed this is that I am the only Savage Combat debuffer in my 10 man. So when I switch to my Muti spec, I need the settings to change to show that debuff group as being non-selected.
