I have some concern's as to the accuracy of Shadowcraft. One day it say's that mutilate (with 365 BS dagger) is the best spec for me by a few hundred dps, then the next day it say's that combat with either the brewfest mace or 365 BS sword is best by 1200 and 1300 dps respectively and that Sub is best out of all by a lot. It seems weird that Shadowcraft would change it's "mind" about the best spec and gear (note: the differences are in the same gear minus weps with proper gemming and reforging). If someone could explain why it is doing this or just tell me it is working correctly and it changes due to nearing caps or what not I would greatly appreciate it. Toon is Eribos on US-Thunderlord if anyone wants to test it. Thanks.

Thank you so much Liftir. Glyphs not being changed out was causing the discrepancy. Although, it still says Sub is the best spec by ~500 dps. Maybe I should give it a try lol.

JC profession allows/suggests 4 chimeras eye gems.

I've been noticing a lot of issues with the reforger lately. As an example, most recently, it is telling me to change my agil gem in the belt buckle to a hit/mastery gem. It is not possible that would be more dps (it isn't). It also recently left me with 1292 hit, specifically telling me to change my offhand reforge from hit to haste (though the hit would give me 1330 which was a definite dps increase).

I've had some issues with reforging/gemming recently as well. The gemming option often wants me to regem some reds to orange or vice versa - while correctly showing a decrease in dps. Can anyone reproduce this bug with my character? (link)
With my current armory-import, the regemming options shows me:
no problem, really (and he makes it right again when I hit opt. gems again), but I'd like to know if I'm missing something here...?

A rogue colleague of mine had more serious problems this evening with his character's sheet when trying to auto-reforge:

When auto-reforging his current armory import, the sheet wanted him to reforge all kinds of stuff to expertise. He is playing mutilate, though, and the sheet seemed to calculate forever until showing a 400 or so decrease in dps, as was to be expected. He said he used the Internet Explorer and then Firefox, when IE didn't make it work as it should (I'm not sure what his problem with IE was, actually...), both to no avail. I could reproduce the bug (and I use Chrome).
Now, 15 minutes later, it works fine again - he went offline before I could ask him to wait with reforging on his own. I'm not sure if he has changed anything or if the bug just... went away on his own. Maybe the problems he had resulted from overburdened servers after middle european wednesday raids ended and half of europe tried to use the sheet at the same time? Or he really changed something before going to bed, I don't know - a pity, I really wanted to know if this behaviour is reproducable by others.

Well, at least my gemming thing "works" all the time, though my equip has changed quite often these last weeks...
I'd be happy if someone could look over these issues, though I'm afraid my two example cases are not much of a help here.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your great work here.

Those minor gemming and reforging issues (~10 EP) are simply due to the fact that the tool calculates the EP vales before any reforgers / regems happens. So if two sets are very close together, it may shift in the other direction after the reforging / regemming has taken place.
Nothing to worry about, you really won't notice that 4 DPS difference.

Simply hit the reforge button 2-3 times and take the best result. Shadowcraft has a very nice history feature, make use of it.

Thanks, spoon, that explains the gemming issues I observed several times. But what about the -400 EP expertise reforging my friend encountered? That cannot possibly be linked to the first issue. Again, sorry that I'm not able to reproduce the error now for further testing...

I noted this much earlier in this thread as well. As of today Shadowcraft continues in this behavior. I typically regem manually afterward to correct this.

I really hate to be annoying, but are we ever going to see swordguard embroidery modeled?

This might just be a shadowcraft UI wording issue; and I've not seen it mentioned, but Combat Potency talent in shadowcraft's tooltip reads 'Gives your successful off-hand melee attacks a 20% chance to generate 15 energy' rather then the in game version which reads 'Gives your successful off-hand melee attacks and Main Gauche attacks a 20% chance to generate 15 energy.'

I don't have the expertise to check the code, but I'd hate it to be inadvertently downplaying mastery in combat spec.

Forgive me if this has been brought up already but I am fairly certain that there's a bug with eng. When I set my toon on shadowcraft for sub, if I remove eng as my profession I only lose 120 dps (which seems like it could be the old version of eng agi bonus in wotlk?) while if I get enchanting and put the agi enchant on my rings I gain about 350dps.

I really hope shadowcraft can fix this plz and and add an option to use the eng 480agi + dance at the same time in a macro. And also add hemo glyph bonus simulation for the talents and glyphs panel because right now its 0 dps.
