OK well let me put it another way, if one is a loss and one is a gain then I'd argue it shouldn't recommend the former at all. Feature or not, it would prevent repeats of said question as the popularity of the tool rises and it doesn't tend to happen on any other optimisation tool.
You can easily prevent this by disabling the Auto-Reforge All button (once used) until certain conditions are met, e.g changing a piece of gear, gem or enchant.

The feature itself is a reasonable one, check the reforged DPS first and don't change if it is a loss. However it's also probably pretty low priority on the feature list because you can in fact click twice and use the higher one.
To be fair on other optimization tools the stat weight are probably not dynamic, which is what causes the reforge to oscillate in Shadowcraft, and other tools usually recommend sub-optimal reforges, reforging away from the optimal setup that Shadowcraft gives me.
