Yes I can't access Shadowcraft using Google Chrome either. Cleared cookies etc. 502 error.

Firefox, cleared cookies as well and still not working. Is there an ETA on when this will be back up?

A Bad Gateway error isn't browser related. Clearing your cookies will have no impact.

Seems to be working now for me.
Seems a bit slow however.. That could be because I'm running simcraft constantly right now though.

Seems to be loading, however it's not showing any DPS numbers for me. And when I hit auto reforge, it reforges my gear for Combat even though I'm in Mut spec and gear. It's showing Glyphs in order for Combat on that page as well (but no DPS numbers! Just the bars.)

That's what I figured but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway :P. By the way, it's back up just a little slow when it's calculating DPS.

The box is basically out of RAM. I'm going to move it to a larger Linode instance when I get a bit of time.

The ShadowCraft tool is amazing and the best calculator out there for any class, ever, but it is just a tool. Think for yourself instead of relying on pure numbers or write something yourself if you think you can do better.

It was a reasonable suggestion mate. I tested software for the best part of 4 years before moving into the music industry and am very aware of how defensive developers get about their own code/projects but also think some of them appreciate the honest feedback on the features. If what I have said seems ungrateful then that is certainly not my intention. Thankfully Aldriana took it the way it was intended.

What I will say is that players often put a lot of trust in these tools because it takes substantial effort to undertake the calculations yourself. With that in mind, offering a tool to the community that under certain circumstances offers a negative and then a positive and vice versa without a clear understanding of why that's happening isn't a good thing. While it may actually be offering a honest answer because the numbers are that tight, if I hadn't asked/read it on the 27th page of the topic, I wouldn't have known it was a "feature". It's no ones fault the problem exists and as has been mentioned its difficult to combat but its certainly not unreasonable to bring it up as problem.

For what its worth I got an infraction for it.

Does anyone know if Shadowcraft will line up trinkets (specifically Ancient Petrified Seed, 1 min CD) with Shadowdance? The spreadsheet says the trinket is a dps loss over Essence of the Cyclone, but if the agi boost is used suboptimally I can see the actual dps being much different.

Briefly stated: no, its not modeled, but it also doesn't make much of a difference. While its true that aligning Seed with Shadow Dance will give a DPS increase, the actual gains of doing so tend to be single digit (or occasionally low double digits) quantities of DPS, and thus don't appreciably change the ordering of gear.

So, if you have two gear sets/trinkets/whatever that do near-identical DPS, only one of which lets you line up your cooldowns, by all means use that one. But if one gear set/trinket/whatever is 50 DPS ahead of the other, its better, and what it does with/to your cooldowns isn't going to change that.

I believe I found a bug though; it seems my Agile Bio-Optic Killshades (engi goggles) don't count as leather, making it believe Leather Specialization as inactive.

Did anyone try to hack the 4.3 gear into Shadowcraft to get some estimates for our dps and stat weights? I tried plugging a test gear list into the latest version of Simulationcraft, and it came up with about 55k dps. A jump of almost 20k dps between patches seems a bit too high.

EDIT: This is the gear I tested with.

Just a thought here.

Basically, would it be possible to add something to the shadowcraft application to "lock" certain slots. For example, at the moment, I am playing around with getting a viable offset put together. However i obviously don't have enough heroic pieces to have two full sets, and rather than reforge every time, I would like to be able to swap in some new gear, with proper relevant reforges, and keep parts of the original set as they are, and "locked" so that when i click reforge all, it ignores them? I am doing this manually currently, and it is a pain to be sure.

Just thought that might be handy for people.

A quick update on this. I have a feeling the proc on the No'Kaled, Elements of Death (agility axe from Madness of Deathwing) is not modelled properly in Simulationcraft and produces a damaging attack with all 3 elements at once, rather than just one random. Hence the 55k dps I was getting.

Using Morningstar of Heroic Will instead, the gear set with highest dps output I found was this (with gnome racial exp bonus), at 49166 dps.
