The sinister calling buff should yield something about 8% more dps. About find weakness - with an uptime around 25% and 70-75% of your damage affected by the armor penetration debuff - I don't know. If someone knows how this armor reduction thingy works he can tell you.

is there such thing as too much mastery?
Hello Rogue friends,
What i wanted to discuss with all of you is something that started bugging me a few days ago, and i think it perfectly fits in this simple question thread. I play and assassination rogue...
Mainly i have come to the point (at least to my limited understanding) where i started wondering if there is such thing as too much mastery for the price that needs to be invested into it. Basically at near 16 mastery i noticed it started getting really expensive to reforge into it and wanted to know what you all think if there is a point where we should stop reforging into mastery and start investing in haste instead? Has anyone already tried testing this? I have some ideas on how to test it, and will try and do them soon.
So far i've started limiting my mastery to 15,50-16 and all excess stats get reforget to haste, and i have seen a nice little improvement in energy regen and overall DPS, especially in AOE heavy encounters...
Any ideas?

Hi there,
I did a bit of searching but no luck. I wonder what you fellow rogues use to track buffs/debuffs when raiding, I mean its pretty nice to have a bar for that very important Slice and Dice since its easier to follow same with our bleed etc.
So my question is; what addons do you use in a raid environment if any at all.
Thanks.

Yes, stack mastery regardless of what your gut tells you. It has a higher EPS value up to, and including, BIS gear so while it seems like you might want to split your reforging between haste and mastery it really does give you the biggest bang for the buck. You will get enough haste from the pieces that you cannot/partially reforge.
And to answer about the add ons - check out Roguepowerbars on Curse.com. It does it all and is easliy customized to show you the buffs that YOU want to see. I love it.

I like to use ClassTimer since its pretty customizable, but recently im started thinking about RoguePowerBars since its also very customizable and above all it supports color change on every tracker which Class Timer does not (you can only use one color for buffs/debuffs).
One more thing thats good about RoguePowerBars is that it comes preconfigured so that people that aren't interested in customization can play with it Out-Of-The-Box!

Mastery does not have diminishing returns, stack it, I don't know what you mean by "it's harder to get mastery".

Personally I use LUI, which has timers by default above my character panel.
I did a very quick look on Curse, and both these addons look good. RoguePowerBars and SliceAdmiral.

I was under the impression that the more mastery rating u have the more rating you need to increase actuall mastery by 1 point? Or do i, regardless of the amount of mastery, always need the same amount of mastery rating to get the same amount of mastery points (eg for 100 mastery rating i would always get the same % increase in mastery points regardless of points i already have)?

SliceAdmiral is out of date, the author has been MIA for over a long time. RoguePowerBars works but takes time to set up and doesn't track everything.
I use SliceCommander (only updated on WowInterface) as it shows all the rogue abilities, energy, cps, etc. Then PowerAuras for trinket CD, enchant/trinket procs, engineering cds. I think you'll find this to be the best option.

Based on Aldriana's estimates Subtlety is about 10-15% behind Assassination, so this might bring it with 3-4%%. If what you say is correct and the increased Backstab and Hemorrhage damage as well as the Find Weakness equate to at least 5% more DPS. If it comes within 2%-ish I personally would be willing to switch to it for bosses my guild has killed at least once.
Also I love RoguePowerBars, it hasn't been updated in a while but is still great. You can also add in new buffs or debuffs to track and customize their color too.

RoguePowerBars doesn't track the newer stuff (Vendetta, Cata trinket procs, etc.), but as somebody already said, it is highly customizable and you can set it to track any buff/debuff you want, including the new trinkets and enchants. I didn't think it took long at all to set up, as most of it is already there by default. You just need to decide where you want it and how large you want the bars, really. I love it because you can choose different colored bars for different buffs, procs or whatever. You can and should at least enable Vendetta if you go with this addon.

It is very easy to add something to track to Rogue Power Bars, all you have to do is type the name of it in and hit add. I use it to track everything and its all color coded, definately best addon for this in my opinion.

OK I know this question is kind of stupid but it's been bugging me lately.
I was wondering, since poisons are nature damage, if other rogue nature damages (especificaly Enchant Weapon - Avalanche and Darkmoon Card: Hurricane) would benefit from Mastery: Potent Poisons?
