Note sure if this is the best thread for this, but it's an interesting set of data regarding the Shadowy Gems.
So I've been keeping a log of how many gems we acquire in our raid group, and keeping tabs on other raid teams around the world. I've noticed a trend (though definitely not confirmed), that "RNG" biases 5-6 gems per cluster. Right now it's still a very small sample size (138, at the moment) and too early to tell just how true it is. I'll follow up in roughly 2 more weeks once I finish Cluster Clutch.
I should say that it is done assuming that every cluster is the same no matter the difficulty, raid size, or boss. It seems like a reasonable assumption at the moment, given the low amount of data we have on hand right now, and the common understanding of game mechanics.
I assume this is to reduce RNG, but it's interesting none the less. I'm sure this has crossed the minds of several others in 25 man raiding who have seen several clusters now.
