Not sure but AoE hasn't been clearly defined. Neither the number of target necessary nor the "cycle" whichever the spec. I was also wondering if someone had done some math on that btw? Here's my guess :
Combat :
< 5 targets = BF up, keep going with normal rotation
>= 5 targets = BF up, normal cycle BUT keep CT up on all targets / Only use FoK + 5CP CT on thrash pack that won't live for a long time.
Even if that will change in 5.2, would be nice to have a better idea of what is optimal/will be optimal.
Assassination :
< 5 targets = Tab-Rupturing (Mut > Rupt > tab > Mut > Rupt > ...) and focus on main target.
>= 5 targets = Tab-Rupturing with FoK as CP builder, 2 CP Rupt, then keep SnD up with Envenom
The case of Sha of Fear HC is particular to handle since you have to do maximum damage on both the boss and the adds. After comparing a bunch of logs on him, it seems that the best method is keeping the single-target rotation on the boss while FoKing (>= 5 adds) everytime you gain the Envenom buff and adds are in range.
