Might be silly but with the new change to the Forsaken race, and with the damage of Touch of the Grave being like 1,1% of our damage on fights, what do you think about it? is it worth race changing into it?

According to this post, undead is still at the bottom. But, as far as I can tell, no one has re-run the numbers at 90 with accurate hit, etc.

Does anyone know of a great add-on that tracks combo points and anticipation charges?

Addon

I personnaly use IceHud for this, you just have to configure a custom buff counter for anticipation and everything is in the middle juste where you need it.

Combo Points Redux is what I've been using for sometime. It supports other classes aswell, so it's the only addon I need for any class with combolike mechanics.

Hey guys!

You may or may not know but I have a poison guide on the US Rogue forum. While I know poisons are not the always the grandest topic, I would still offer to post it on EJ's forum if you all feel it'd ameliorate the rogue forum here in any way.

It contains:

- A poison list with explanations
- Talents that affect/are affected by poisons
- Details on envenom
- Details on Mastery, specifically assassination's as it pertains to poison
- Suggested usage of poisons.

Does anyone know what the dps difference is between using AR and SB together vs. using one to lower the cooldown on the other via restless blades? Also, if the latter is the better way, would it be worth delaying the usage of a haste trinket in order to line the buff up with SB?

I think you are misunderstanding how restless blades works. When you do a damaging finisher, it lowers the CD of both AR and SB (and KS and redirect) by 2*(# of cp). The beauty of lining these two up is they are both 3 min CD and since restless blades affects both at the same time by the same amount, they will always come of CD together.

In short use AR and SB together.

Ah, I was under the mistaken impression that they would not work to lower the cooldown while the buff duration was in effect thereby making the use of both together redundant. I shall resume using my AR/SB macro. Thanks for the info.

Why are rogues not using cheat death in PVE?

Popular WoW Talents - GuildOx - WoW Guild Rankings

We don't have legendaries that proc from it anymore and its self healing is almost non existent.

Here is an example of a top 10 world lfr parse that got saved from cheat death:

World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis

It just seems that having a get out of "dead free card" is so much better than passive healing that you have healers for.

It just has so many uses and as a rogue you normally don't tick away and die, either the tank dies and you get one shot while they b-rez him (cheat death procs and you vanish or evasion, saving your life) or you stand in something you shouldn't and die (again cheat death procs and saves you).

Even with Shiv returning 5% life when needed, I can't justify this. How would you feel about a tank speccing into dps talents instead of survivability or, a healer taking a dps talent over a throughput talent? This just reminds me of the old addage, "you do zero damage if you are dead", and while leeching poison MIGHT save you from a death, Cheat Death DOES.

Am I missing something here?

Yes. You are missing one of the biggest parts and that is boss mechanics.

Most bosses at the current state do not deal deadly damage spikes that you could not avoid.
So if you're playling near to, or even completely, flawless you get absolutely NO damage that would otherwise kill you.

That alone leaves Cheat Death useless in comparison to Leeching Poison / Elusiveness.

LP gives you about 4k HPS or even more, this may not sound that much but you're saving your healers precious mana.

The only encounter I see this have a place is probably Gara'jal but then again, if you die probably another person died and it's already a wasted try (at least in 10 man).

If your tanks die, something happened that definitely should NOT happen. Sure Cheat Death my save you this one try and give you a kill, but how many successful trys did you have because your Healers did not have to "waste" mana on you?

I think you're underselling Cheat Death a bit. Yes, if you're playing flawlessly, it is essentially useless; but in practice, few of us are that good, particularly while learning new fights. So its absolutely worth taking for some fights, although the value proposition is admittedly somewhat modest.

Ultimately, I think there are two main reasons why there's a bias towards Leeching Poison right now: 1) its the only utility poison that does anything on most fights, and I think there's a psychological preference towards running two poisons instead of just one; and 2) most of us are still spending a lot of time on dailies, where leeching is clearly superior. Neither of those is a particularly good reason, admittedly, but in the absence of any options that are clearly superior, its enough to tip the balance.
