Hmm...yeah, looks like the logic broke when the Talent sheet got remodeled.
Until I post a new version, if you go to the average weapon damage column for both your main hand and off hand weapons and in the formulas change the $N$60 to $S$36, it will work correctly again.

Something I noticed today was that the miss % seems to be off again or using the old hit rating level to calculate it.
With 345 hit rating with food, it's listing me at 0.00% miss rate buffed. But from our WWS logs the last 2 nights in MH/BT and Recount data, this is not the case. I'm sitting more around around 4.5% miss rate that both WWS and Recount confirm.
Did something get broken?

Could you
a) link that WWS?
b) make sure dodge/parry isn't the problem being lumped together into non-detailed miss?

Sure thing:
WWS: Keishin - WWS
And yep I checked the dodge/parry rate to make sure I wasn't combining them into the same lump amount. Just something seems off for some reason. Feel free to pull the 2.4.0.2 sheet and import me from armory and verify. not going to rule out I screwed something up

Hello,
I'd like to know why the Blackened Leather Spaulders don't appear in the list as they come from the Kurenai reputation and should be selectable.
Also, is there any way to add an object that is not on the default lists ?
Thanks.

Banshees in Hyjal cast a debuff that increases your chance to miss.

Hmm...looks like because someone added just the Horde version back when they were first added. I suggest using Talbuk Hide Spaulders (exact same stats) until I add the Alliance version. Its the same item, different name.

2.4 Test realm patch notes
There's a decent number of items listed, not sure which ones you currently don't have on the list.
While i agree it's senseless to update the sheet once a day, it'd still be nice to know which items are coming in 2.4 that aren't available on the sheet (yet), so we don't need to look for them, or could add them manually.
Possibly it's more than 5 items currently though, but i'm sure others will come when more bosses on the PTR are killed.

hmmmm. when i use the armory import it loads all the items and talents but all the DPS information and stuff only displays '#NV'
i've got MSXML on this computer and the armory import has worked before. i tried to delete and re-download versions 2.4.0.2 and 2.3.2.7 of the sheet - the same problem. #NV everywhere after i use the armory import
anyone got a solution to that problem? btw. im running MS Excel 2000
thx
€: ok you know what? i found the solution myself
when i input my characters name and server to the armory import function, it trys to get the information on my character by browsing the european armory. in my case it is getting the information from the GERMAN armory. the problem that causes the #NVs is that the armory import automatically set the race of my character to 'Nachtelf' which is german for 'Night Elf'. this seems to have fucked up the sheet. i manually switched the race to 'Night Elf' and its working now.

i suppose since i posted something like this in the Gear Spreadsheet thread, i should get opinions from people here as well.
I got into the habit of using the DPS spreadsheet to find the optimal gear/enchant/gem mix, just by swapping in things until i got the highest resultant buffed dps.
Is this going to be more accurate than using the recommendations from the gear spreadsheet?

Zurgat---
I hope to get another version out this week with the latest updates from the PTR. I figure about once a week is a good compromise at this stage. I'm also planning to add the unlisted gear feature this week that I had mentioned before. Initially, this probably won't be tied to a Macro, but I'll do that for the update following.
Besides the new items and this feature, the only other changes will be bug fixes or the addition of missing items like Blackened Leather Spaulders. To do some of the things I want, I'm going to have to revamp the item tables and add some new fields. So, I'm going to be focusing on this next. Next step after that will be revamping the gear/buffs sheet to accommodate the new fields.
So, in short, expect mostly item updates and bug fixes in the short run.
-----------
Todesbote----
Hmm...I'll look into that European Armory issue, see if I can't find a way to ensure it always pulls down English tags. There should be some way to do that...
-----------
In short yes, but mostly because both this spreadsheet and the Gear sheet have the same shortcoming, namely that the Recommendations/Updates aren't yet able to account for gemming and set bonus possibilities. In terms of accuracy, both spreadsheets try to be accurate for the type of fight modeled. At times there are differences between estimates.
It should also be noted that what might be best in a static fight like Tidewalker, might not be best in fights with a lot of movement. Particularly, "On Use" items will be more valuable as one gains their benefit a higher percentage of time than normal (assuming one can time them to run while attacking). Where there is more movement, you generally get a slightly higher percentage of "yellow" attacks which makes Crit, Armor Pen, and Agility a little more valuable and slightly decreases the value of hit rating. So, if 2 items are very close in terms of DPS, one might get more benefit from one in static fights and another in fights involving a lot of movement.

I'm having an error when I remove the shoulder enchantment, or place it on "none". I think its just cause the values for none aren't input, when i manually change them to all 0's its comes up fine.

Hello
Most people dont know me, but Im the person who invented/wrote the orginal Upgrade code for the spreadsheet and sent it to Ellos. I saw a post couple of days ago about improving performance and I noticed an error has crept into the code over time.
If you change the 2 lines of code in Modul3 from :
SkipItem:
ItemCell.Value = CurrentItem
Next item
to
SkipItem:
Next item
ItemCell.Value = CurrentItem
You will cut the time in half for the routine to run. The error is after it swaps in each item its resetting it to the orginal item before it tries the next one. Thats not needed until its tried each upgrade for that slot.
Keep up the good work, and drop me a line if you have any questions or suggestions.

Unfortunately, that will also reintroduce the skipping 2nd Ring, Trinket or 2nd Unique gem issue. Just an fyi...
Hmm...I think I just figured out why Macro performance in general is slow...I have to test a couple things to see if I'm right, but that will go into the next update too if it works.
I believe if I turn the calculations to manual in the Macros (except when the calculations are doing something) and back to auto calculate at the end, it should speed them up considerably.
The theory being that its the sheet autocalculate getting called any time a cell changes. Which is also why its so much slower when there is an upgrade and it copies cells to the Upgrade sheet. Each cell triggers the autocalc on change.

First of all I want to thank you for the great job you are doing.
I noticed that the Ashtongue Talisman of Lethality's formula is wrong.
The correct one should be
145*2*CP*finish*MAX(10;cyclet/finish)/(cyclet^2/finish)
instead of
145*CP*0,2*MAX(10;cyclet/finish)/(cyclet/finish)
Same goes for the unbuffed DPS formula.
With the current formula in 2.4.0.2 the amount of CR gained froum the trinket is always 100% in a 5cp/5cp cycle, regardless of cycle time.
The new one should correct the issue.

I timed a couple of passes thru upgrades, for example MHweapon took 15.0 seconds to process upgrade(including the copy) once I swapped the 2 lines back, it only took 7.2 seconds. And since the copy routine your using goes to a sheet with no calculations I wouldnt think thats adding any significant time.
If youll specify the behavior you want for the macro, ill see what I can do to fine tune it.

I'm not sure what's being done differently but on the two latest versions of the sheet (2401 and 2402) the Copy boxes are so big that when I come to try and change my weapons and armor the box fully covers the selector switch. In fact all of the boxes that should have a function/macro attached to them are much larger than they used to be. The screenshot shows the difference between these versions and the old 2329 version.
I'm running OpenOffice on WindowsXP so I'm not sure if this same issue is affecting MS Word or Macs at all. The issue is there in both the normal version and the NA version.

Nice work DMM.
My question: I'm stuck using 2pc t4 (helm & legs) b/c my guild stopped running Vashj to focus on Hyjal / BT.
(I wound up having 3pc t5 and was next in line to get my t5 helm when they stopped running SSC).
Anyway, ran my gear through all the sheets here at EJ, and all are showing no upgrades for legs or helm until Slayer's.
Is the 2pc t4 really so great that this is true? Or is that extra 3sec of S&D being weighed more heavily than it should?
More of a case of me needing someone to confirm/deny, I suppose. Anyone have any input on this?

I have this problem with OpenOffice also.
Edit: Go to View>>Toolbars>>Form Control. Then turn on Design Mode on that toolbar, now you can select buttons and delete them with Delete key.

Hmm...Mac users needed them larger or the text was splitting up in the boxes, hence the change. Now they are too big in OO. I'll have to see what I can do about that.
