You are assuming that haste would decrease the chance per hit to proc poison, which as far as I know is not the case. The chance per hit to proc poison is determined by which poison you are using and your weapon's base speed, not it's hasted speed. So the increase in haste could only be a DPS gain, as you will be attacking more often and therefore have more chances to proc at the exact same percentage per hit.

How much of a DPS gain the synergy between envenom and Hyperspeed Accelerators is is another question, however, and I suspect it's not that significant.

That is totally right, I rechecked the mechanics and poisons do not work the way I discribed. At worst poping a haste buff with the envenom buff up is a DPS wash if no extra hits within the buff window result and at best, indeed in most cases, it is a DPS gain.

My vanity is justified.

Dear thread author, would you mind linking updated for 3.1 spreadsheets in the 1st post?
So that it would help those who's searching for info to find it much quicker.

I spent about a week convinced that Vulajin's spreadsheet is no longer viable and wondering why it's not being updated for that long. Yeah, I know, I suck, but still... Very hard to find useful info among xxx-paged threads if it's somewhere in the middle.

Well, these additional sheets aren't made by Vulajin, they are modified by other forum members, based on Vulajin's original one, until he has the time to make an official release.

This is the spreadsheet I'm currently using. I updated Furtim's version with that Gear_Upgrade-Macro and put all those 3.1 changes in. I haven't worked much with Excel so far, but the spreadsheet seems to be accurate. I removed gear with an ilvl lower than 213 and made an extra spreadsheet with daggers only for mutilate, so the upgrade macros work faster. I also removed the prismatic quality of JC gems and put colors in to reflect the JC changes in the next major content patch. If you want to change that you can easily unhide the Gem worksheet und change the colour to "Any".

I wouldn't call myself brilliant by any stretch of the imagination, but I've been working on updating the Rawr.Rogue module. An alpha version was even included in 2.2.6. Its still missing a bunch of things, but you can see the status here.

I should mention that I'm not shooting for 100% DPS model accuracy out of the gate. I'm trying to get most things modeled, so we can test different specs, and get a good idea of gear upgrades. But if we can get to 100%, I won't be complaining.

I figured out for myself how to add gear not already in the spreadsheet (and edit gear that had wrong stats, probably due to human error), but I still don't know how to add the new Killing Spree glyph.

I'd appreciate some guidance, or even a link to one of the thousand posts in this thread that tells how (using Search came up dry), even if the answer is "can't be done, try someone else's spreadsheet".

Changing the major armor debuff to not present or false on that sheet yields no change in dps.

Can I add most gear, gems, etc. to the spreadsheet by unhiding the appropriate worksheet and adding a line for my unlisted Ulduar drop with the relevant stats? (I realize that some items like T8/8.5 with set bonuses require some extensive editing which I'm not prepared to do by myself.)

Has anyone else tried this spreadsheet safely? No offense, but I'm cautious about running macros from a random Internet stranger who's only posted twice. Thanks!

To me this spreadsheet still seems very useful. Idk if you're saying you still think it's not viable or if you only thought that for a week. Can anyone else comment on the viability of Vulajin's Feb. 2009 spreadsheet, Roguecraft LK 0.4.7? Thanks!

Vulajin's sheet is lacking both gear and updated game mechanics, so you either have to use some "stranger's" updated sheet or wait for an update. There's also aldriana's sheet, even if it's not as user friendly.

This is in no way meant as a downgrade of Vulajin's spreadsheet of which I've long been an ardent user. However, as you mention, the version currently available for download's been outdated for some time now; and while there's obviously the chance that your idea of user friendliness is invariably in tune with how Vulajin's constructed his version of a spreadsheet, I suspect there's a chance that you haven't taken a gander at the current version of Aldriana's sheet. If you seek simplicity and user friendliness, there you go.

You can do so. If the new entered items don't appear in the drop-down menu you should take a look into the name manager for example: headlist, headstats and look if the reference lists the new items.

Those are iterative calculations for haste, energy and poison uptime. The final calculation are in Dps and Cylces.

i looked into the formulas and corrected some things, like trinket uptime, heroism/bloodlust uptime was based on a 5 min cd and i made some improvements for 2pt8 bonus value. I also added gear you can get from tournament/heroics/emblems/crafters and 10er Naxx.

Could you throw stormjewels into the gem list? Also I notice scrolls impact damage on the buffs tab, I remember them being unable to stack with horn of winter or shaman totems (STR AGI scrolls naturally) has this been changed or have I simply been raiding based on misinformation this expansion?

It's really easy to input gear, gems, etc. All you need to do is go to: Format -> Sheet -> unhide (Gems) -- and insert a line with Delicate Stormjewel, 20 agility, red socket.

Vef, can't thank you enough for updating this sheet. It's a great companion to Aldriana's & a great tool.


I do have one question, however. What is going on with haste in your spreadsheet? It gives zero, or negative value to haste. For example, if I remove the 72 haste from my legs, I gain 2.94 dps. It is thereby giving me incorrect information on gear swapping. Another example: If I switch from Flamestalker boots to Footpads of Silence, the sheet tells me I will gain 65.00 dps. This can't be accurate.

...Can it?

Thank you for your feedback.
The calcs in cooldowns 1+2 were messed up at the bottom, which caused wrong results if the combat duration wasn`t set to infinite. I fixed it.

Guys ill be upfront and honest and say ive never used a spreadsheet before in my life, but i seriously wanna improve my gear and dps.

Some of my current gear isnt available to select on the spreadsheet so obviously im trying to work out how to add it, is it just a case of typing the items name and stats into hidden sheet??? and where do i find the values for base score and rank?

Appreciate any help that you can offer

Yes, you can just type the gear that is not listed into the correct sheet. But adding set items and trinkets is a little more complicated to explain.
In this spreadsheet there is no aep ratings and stuff. But you can click the Gear Upgrade Check macro and look which item you have gives you the most dmg bonus. After you put on this item you run the macro again and look which item gives the most now..and so on.
Alternative you can use sp00n's AEP values calculator for this spreadsheet. Roguesheet AEP Values

I uploaded an experimental 3.2 version. It includes the new implemented items and t9 bonuses. 2 piece t9 currently assumes a 10% proc chance.
Also i fixed something with rupture crits in 3.1 version.

A long-standing bug: the extra weapon socket for Blacksmiths did not make WotLK retail

A UI annoyance: Gear sheet, row 9 should have a row height of 13,5 to avoid overlapping C8 when editing C9

That isn't a bug. Not everything that is written into patch notes at some point will necessarily be implemented in game. If you think about it from a balance perspective it makes sense, since and extra socket would increase the value of BS by roughly 50%.
