When I use the upgrade gear check macro I see the possible upgrades as a should. Although when the sheet lists the Heroic LK dagger it has a strike through on it. I tried editing the item text itself under the MH Weapon page but it doesn't seem to be there. Could anyone help me with this? it would be helpful to be able to do this in order to organize items I don't want by simply crossing them out and it's also kind of annoying for the dagger to be the only one that is.

EDIT: Ah the feeling of being dumb. Thanks Furtim

That is nothing more than an artifact of having the top part of the sheet frozen in place, and it placing the tooltip over the border of where that frozen part is.

I'm a bit unsure about the combat sheet regarding glyphs. Example is when I select the backstab glyph I get a higher increase than when I select the Eviscerate glyph. Seems strange. Is this a bug?
It tells me that the best combo of glyph's are Sinister Strike, Backstab and Killing Spree. Warning, the combat daggers are on the move again... No seriously, this must be a bug, right?

And in comparison to the other sheet, made by Aldriana, where I get a dps loss by changing the glyph of Eviscerate to glyph of Slice and Dice it's the opposite in this sheet.. An increase in dps. Guess one should not compare the sheets but hey, that's what i did. Normally they are very close to each other, but now I do not know who to trust. And with the backstab glyph showing an increase.. well seems strange. Can I trust the increase in Slice and Dice glyph in this sheet? Can I trust the glyph setup at all, that is my question?

Also regarding combat cycles; when I set up a cycle of Eviscerate only with talent build and glyph I get a >300 dps decrease compared to a Rupture cycle, in this sheet. In both cycle setups the gear are similar in both gems, gear and raid buffs (all).
This is the exact opposite of what the Aldrianas sheet says, with the excact same setup in gear, gems and buffs. There the rupture cycle is lowest, with about 150dps, and recommended as a "low rupture". Eviscerate cycle are "way" better.
In your practice, what sheet's are showing more correct? Can one trust that rupture cycles actually are so much better, as this sheet shows.

Hope this is not to confusing, stabb on!

I'm not sure what's causing the discrepancy with glyphs, but the backstab one is obviously a bug. Slice and dice should absolutely be more dps than evis. But combat has room for neither - the only viable glyphs are tott+killing spree+sinister strike/rupture. The latter two are loosely a tossup; rupture will usually give better patchwerk dps. If you absolutely refuse to use glyph of tott, use both rupture/sinister strike and run rupture.

As far as cycles, there is a difference in how the sheets are modeled. Aldriana's had two cycles: high rupture and low rupture. As high rupture was determined to be generally too strenuous to maintain, it now defaults to low rupture. Vulajin's sheet may model a higher priority on rupture uptime as opposed to the optimal energy use that is aldriana's setup.

Based on your current gear, I'm inclined to say that evis-only will either produce better dps or will be so close as to be a better option for the sake of rotation simplicity/optimization. Your gearset achieves a large amount of arpen by sacrificing much of the haste/crit that 264-277 sets normally possess. Essentially your arpen is a few tiers higher than your actual gearset would normally support. It's only in 271-277 gear that rupture really starts to steal the show and becomes the only viable option.

I would think the opposite to be true. Since Eviscerate does scale with armor penetration and Rupture does not, Eviscerate cycles would receive a larger benefit from armor penetrations' exponential gains. But I'd assume that Ruptures' ability to crit keeps Rupture cycles above Eviscerate-only at all gear levels.

The Combat Compendium on the official rogue forums states that at very *low* levels of gear, Rupture-only cycles yield higher dps than ones using any Eviscerates at all:

Rupture Only:
If you don't want to bother weaving Eviscerate into your rotation, or are fairly undergeared, this is likely the preferable spec.

There's a sweetspot. Rupture has always scaled better (significantly now that it crits), but the value of evis is temporarily/relatively boosted by the arpen that we go for anyways. Once you have enough arpen it becomes viable to run evis-only, then once you have the hard cap evis loses a ton of its scaling progression while rupture continues to benefit from further gear. Evis scales only from AP at that point, and rupture scales (better) from AP and also crit. So you can see why as gear improves rupture would start to be dominant again once it breaches the gap arpen has made.

Usually the sweetspot is earlier than the hard cap, but it depends on your gearset.

Thanks to Vujalin

(it took me forever to get membership on forums and waiting and couldn't find vujalin via search method but wanted to say...)

To Vujalin. This is the most impressively detailed, professional, and mathematically complete dps chart I've ever seen. And to be more precise in this praise, I don't think it woudl be possible for it to be more detailed without becoming superfluous (actually there's probably a way or two). I like how this removes the character chasis so to speak and boils down all wow characters (atleast the serious onces) to just frameworks of math. Jolly good. I don't give praise freely because it can be used to condition people, and it's fine to interpret this as conditioning, by all means keep producing more roguecraft spreadsheets! Reminds me of somethign I did with running and calculating splits, but I dislike running and while it included a lot of formula and cross-sheet calculations it wasn't as advanced as that. Very impressed. Thanks for the work.
