It really doesnt matter if you clip 2 seconds or 10 seconds, the shear act of producing more envenoms or evis is a dps boost for mutilate.
In addition to sinophilic's comment, if you're using instant poison/deadly and envenom instead, during those SnD cycles you get multiple envenoms off, while pooling you also let you deadly poison stack up some more benefiting you a few larger poison ticks, longer envenom buff, and obviously a harder hitting envenom.

Correct. Not only is pooling energy helpful for both fitting more mutilates under the envenom debuff and as well as letting your DP tick more, but also for fights like Thaddus when you want to wait for 10-12 debuffs to release a rupture or envenom. Last night I jumped past the combat rogue then proceeded to outscale his dps by another 800 because of this. He /whispered me asking what haxx did i use to do that lol. As mutilate rogues, we have the advantage of patience of waiting buffs/debuffs. Combat rogues have so much energy coming in that its a lot harder to wait because you can cap out in energy much easier.

GrimTol

hello all,

i was under the assumption that FoFF, Darkmoon card Greatness and Mirror were the top 3 trinket.
But when i check the spreadsheet with my gear, grim tol seem to surpass all of them (if i replace darkmmon with grimtol, i still see a 3 dps gain, ok its only 3 but that's not the point)
So i was wondering if there is something with trinket modeling or something i dont understand.

thanks for the advice,

You'll find your answer in the second post returned (it's actually in the first as well).

Coincidentally, this post is on the next to last page of the Simple Questions/Answers thread.

Spreadsheet with titan-forged helm added

I've made a copy of the spreadsheet with the titan-forged helm added. I made it for my own benefit but figured I would share my addition for those in the same boat as me. Titan-forged is an easy to get pre-raid helm with good stats so I figure there has to be other rogues out there not able to model their character because of this helm not being represented.

I'm no excel wizard so I couldn't figure out how to modify the =headlist definition to include an extra row, so I just replaced the old season 3 helm with titan-forged. If I missed something please let me know.

I don't see a place to attach files ( I probably don't have rights on this forum ) so I put it up on my website. If anyone would like to be kind to my poor virtual server and attach it to the forums to save me bandwidth that would be awesome!

http://liquidcode.org/wow/Roguecraft...itanforged.xls

EDIT:

Uploaded it to one of those goofy free file hosting sites as well. If you could use this link to download that would be best:

Roguecraft_LK_0.4.7_titanforged.xls - FileFactory

Also while I was dicking around in your spreadsheet I noticed the stats on the hateful gladiators helm are wrong. spreadsheet shows 90 sta and 88 AP. Wowhead shows 103 sta and 58 AP.

Was just wondering on the spreadsheet if this is a known bug, I looked and couldn't find any information on this. (Yes I downloaded a new one just in case) my expertise is always slightly higher than what my character in the game is currently, .09% higher. I checked race, triple checked gear, no food buffs are on, and still get this. Anyone else notice a slight variation in there ss expertise and live expertise?

Spreadsheet doesn't round expertise down. The live stats screen does. But, the live in game mechanics do not round either. So spreadsheet reflects what is happening.

I just found out with the spreadsheet that +spelldamage buffs actually increase the total damage-output pretty much. This is because of the poisons, I assume. With this knowledge I want to ask this question:

Has the +spelldamage from food buffs like Giant Feast and Fish Feast been calculated in the sheet as well? Or aren't these food buffs implemented (yet)?

Poisons benefit from AP only, they are modified by spellcrit. They do not scale off spellpower ( personal buffs ). They do however, scale off of spellhit/damage ( debuffs ).

If I am not mistaken there is not a single SpellPower Buff implemented in the Spreadsheet.
There are however multipliers to Spelldamage. These increase Poisondamage by some percent value and work as one would expect.
Since Poisons scale with AP and not with Spellpower the Food should have no further effect.

Just out of curiosity, has it actually been tested if poisons are affected by spellpower? Not that it would make any difference (effect would be too low anyway comparing to other buff food), it's more like an academical question.

I did a 'very' brief test shortly ago and didnt notice any gain at all from additional spell power.

In another thread it came to my notice that the spreadsheet thinks that Hit gems are superior to AP when you're below 237 even when Heroic Presence is active (Ie Poison Cap is actually 210)
Is this a oversight from the time spellhit and hit were seperate?

Fans glory to the Gladiators,
Gods glory to the Heroes.
