I can't remember when they balanced poison application by switching IP and WP to a PPM mechanic instead of straight percentage -- is it possible the Pocket Guide and Aldriana's old spreadsheet are from when fast mainhands were preferable to slow mainhands for that reason? I mean, LPC used to be better than most epic Naxx daggers in either hand some time ago.
In any case, Mutilate follows the same convention regarding weapon selection that you would expect from Combat Daggers, if anyone played that spec: slow, hard-hitting MH dagger for highest possible damage from Mutilate, coupled with a fast, high DPS offhand for quick reapplication of DP stacks and higher energy regen via Focused Attacks.

The old Optimal Mutilate Spreadsheet I released was pre-PPM poisons. The current versions are correctly updated for PPM poisons. The information in the FAQ is also up-to-date with regard to Mutilate weapon speed; I can't swear as to when the Pocket Guide's information in that respect was updated.

how to make one that after casting tot brings me to my previous target??
thx..

I use 2. First, on pull, I just click on the MT and casts Tricks normal. Then during the fight:
casting on MT:
/assisttarget
/cast tricks of the trade
/assisttarget
Casting on another dps:
/target player's name (I change the macro before the fight)
/cast tricks of the trade
/assisttarget
You can also make any random tank your focus and:
/target focus
/cast tricks of the trade
/assisttarget
Adding assist target at the end makes you not need to reaquire the mob.
Hope this helps.

That's been my experience as well. Anything that fucks with targeting or target name causes you to lose focus (Ie. if your target casts Mirror Image, is a DK who dies and comes back as a Ghoul or uses Killing Spree).
Feign Death does not seem to affect this, for some reason.

They changed it awhile ago so FD wouldn't cancel a casted heal on the hunter. I'm not sure if using KS does, but if it does they should change that as well.

/focus [target=mouseover, exists, nodead]
to set a focus. Simply hover over that player in your unitframs and hit the button. You can add a ", noharm" after nodead, but I left it this way in case I need to focus an enemy target. Very nice for switching focus during a fight as well.
/cast [target=mouseover, noharm, exists, nodead] [target=focus] Tricks of the Trade
then this one to put tricks on my focus, but alternatively I can mouseover another player in my unitframes or targetoftarget and put tricks on him instead of my focus.

Axes Question
Well, I managed to pick up [Blood Fury] a few days back, looked like a decent OH with the new addition to rogues with axes. I was wondering, does anyone know if axes are going to be better then CQC, as I may pick up the one from Anub'Arak 25man if I see it drop. They werent on the spreadsheet that I downloaded for 3.2, so I am hoping someone can help me out in this situation.

There's no known 258 Fist weapon, so as it stands yes, H&S will be better than CQC.

The spreadsheet has the alliance versions of the Crusaders Coliseum items in it. When using it as horde you just need to find out what the equivalent alliance item is and use that. For example the alliance equivalent of Blood Fury is Lionhead Slasher.

What Agropyron said.
Also, I'm currently wearing that axe (though alliance version), with golden saronite dragon MH. After playing around with the spreadsheet for a bit I found my max dps potential with 5/5 CQC and 5/5 HnS using the floater point from 1/2 Endurance and cutting down to 1/5 Lethality.

My buddy has a rogue and is arguing that you should aim to cap white damage hit rating and that AP doesnt scale well enough to take it over getting to the 700-800 hit cap. Can someone confirm to him that past capping yellow damages hit cap AP is a better stat to stack over hit.

Your friend is wrong, you are right, many many stats are better than hit after the poison cap, and agility and attack power are both better than it even after the special cap. Whether agility or attack power is best will depend on your gear level as a rule 4/5 t8 set bonus will push agility over the top, and by the time you gear is good enough to break the bonus the increase in stats will keep it there.
Armor pen can also be better than agility, but that depends a lot on the ArP already on your gear and is only relevant for combat.

Interrupt macro
Fighting the faction champions, I was asked to keep the holy priest interrupted while dps was on the resto druid, but this felt like a waste of my dps, so I was wondering if I could make a macro to kick the priest (as my focus) while I was dpsing the tree. Normally I use my focus for the person I want to put tricks on, so I was wondering if there was a way to only use kick if my focus is an enemy. Something like
/cast [target=focus harm] kick
Would that work? and is that the correct syntax?

As someone who was on interrupt duty tonight for faction champs 25, on the holy pally, I can't help you with your macro, but I will say that interrupt duty takes a whole lot more than just kicks. I was kicking, gouging, and stunning. The spell lockout is shorter than your kick cd, and you will let heals through, and your raid won't be happy about it.

/cast [target=focus,harm,nodead] Kick; Kick
That's what i use on vezax, works fine.
Basically it casts kick on your focus if it is an enemy and alive. Otherwise it will cast it on your current target.

Yes, as for the previous above statement, that works fine for all interrupts.
However, for TotT, this macro, in my opinion, is the best for all scenarios:
/cast [target=Bloodxslayer] Tricks of the Trade
(Used my name as an example)

I know it's not a recommended combo, but I'm currently using Grim Toll + Mjolnir Runestone. Now to my question:
Would replacing one of them (Grim Toll) with Vengeance of the Forsaken generally result in an increase in dps over this combo? I'm at 150 passive ArP.
I put the gear into Aldriana's spreadsheet and it tells me VotF is a downgrade to Grim Toll, but I'm not sure if his sheet calculate Grim Toll + Mjolnir Runestone correctly.

Grim Toll + Mjolnir is correctly modeled by both of my spreadsheets. It's pretty much the only trinket synergy that is, but its important enough that I did include it.

I prefer using frames + click on cast addon for ToT (right click on a frame for example) to keep my focus for monitoring more important stuff or interrupting anything besides what I target.

Hunter here starting a rogue to get a better feel for the Energy system so I have somewhat of a feel for the focus system when it comes out in Cat. I realized pretty quickly that having the focus bar in the top left on the character from is pretty awkward with action bars at the bottom of the screen. Is there an addon out there for moving my focus bar to a different part of my screen without moving the entire character frame? Alternatively is there some other way better way to keep track of focus besides just a normal focus bar?

There are as many ways to track energy as there are rogues. Most rogues tend to prefer either unitframes, or a HUD, though there are a number of addons that will display energy independently, as a bar, as a digit, or in a number of other forms. Check out The Rogue UI: Your Silent Partner for some ideas.

Expertise
Hi I was wondering if someone could answer this for me. I play a Rogue (obviously) and I've always kept myself at 26 expertise. However no other Rogue seems to do this. I've checked topics and what not and they say that I should be at 26, but as I said all the Rogues I see are (for example) 19, 22,24, etc. Not quite there yet. I don't gem for it or anything like that, I just wear appropriate gear to be there.
Is it really not that important? Should I just keep using Weapon Expertise 2/2 and if a piece of gear has it on there, use it, but otherwise go for whatever gear has the more AGI/ArP/etc?
Thanks in advance for anyone who replies and helps me out.

Depending on your gear and spec the EP of Expertise changes, so agility can be more valuable than expertise (this is true for all combat specs, less so for mutilate).
See the table halfway down the pocket guide to get an idea of how valuable expertise is for each spec. Ultimately though, you should use a spreadsheet to calculate your own EP values.

when to stop accumulating hit?
i have 480 hit in my curent gear which seems a bit high, some of that hit is through gems. my question is at what amount of hit is it more beneficial to gem for other stats?
