Is it worth while to be gemming for ArP now with the rating changes or should I still be throwing in agi?

I've tried this out on the Combat sheets myself with my gear and the answer I got was no. ArP is a good stat and pretty strong for combat (especially for certain overbudgeted trinket combos), but in the case of gem'ing Agi is better.

I've been messing around with currently known gear for the past week and seem to get pretty good results with this mutilate setup.

You'd want to replace Terrorblade BP w/ Embrace of the Gladiator, which will then also effect your gemming. Furthermore, I'm fairly certain that for Mutilate, Golem Shard is a better OH than the Bootblade.

Does this take in to account Embrace of the Gladiator? It isn't listed on Wowhead yet.

Yeah I just have been running numbers with the 5 piece until a BIS non-set item becomes more evident, which it looks like the Embrace might be. I added the Bootblade in to the spreadsheet and seemed to always get higher dps with Daschals/Bootblade vs Daschal's/Sticker, although not by much.

This is what I got. I was leaving out an an extra gem earlier. This is with 5 piece T8 since I did not add the Emblem yet.

I dont know if anyone has posted this yet but my version of recount is showing my rupture crits. Rupture does in fact crit based off your physical crit percentage.

un-buffed 37% crit
on a target dummy i get ~ 39% crit on rupture ticks
extra 2% crit from greatness procs.

The Algalon quest rewards were discovered, so I added Brann's Signet Ring

The armory is apparently displaying undiscovered hardmode loot, here's a few gems:

I am 15/51/5 and I just got [Conqueror's Terrorblade Legplates]. I am unsure if I should just wait for another T8 piece first, or wear them with [Frosted Adroit Handguards].

Aldriana's sheet says stick with 4 piece, but the modded Vulajin sheet says differently. I guess I'm mostly asking If one sheet should be trusted over the other.

I've managed to get my hands on Vulmir from Thorim (178 dps mace) and for offhand I have the Stonerender (178dps 1.6speed) and Bloodcrush Cudgel (163dps 1.5speed). My question for you is which of the offhands should I use?

Hello there i just picked up Leggings of Swift Reflexes last night in ulduar and was a little confused. I checked both the spreadsheet and shadow panther and I'm getting two different upgrades. Right now i have t.7 heroes bonescythe legplates and the spreadsheet is showing that I'm losing about 40dps switching to leggings of switf relexes, but according to shadow panther I'm gaining more dps. Right now I'm just wondering how does this fit in the case of which is better and things i should look out for. I am paying attention to AP versus agi and also armp, but I'm just wondering what I'm missing. Thx you for any help.

Something I have noticed playing around with the 3.1 Combat spreadsheet, is the power of swords pre 4p T8. From what I can tell, as long as you have a nice fast OH sword (of equal speed to the dagger in question), you can use a tier lower main hand compared to CQC, and gain dps (all the way up to the fist off hard mode FL vs sword from Kolagarn). Has anyone else noticed this? Once you have 4p T8, BIS goes back to Fist/dagger, but again this seems largely due to weapon itemization.

Even then, BIS swords vs BIS fist/dagger with full Ulduar gear netted only a 40dps gain, when the BIS fist/dagger are both from hard mode 25man encounters vs the OH sword from IC-10, and MH sword from such an early boss in the 25man. It doesn’t seem like they gave us much to aim for with hard mode weapons. – 40dps is something I guess, but its not big on effort vs reward.

So is this working as intended, or am I doing something wrong?
I can see how the change to PPM poisons would be a buff to sword spec, just not to put it a tier above the other weapon specs, or is it?

Posting in this forum to point out the awesome easy to get loots, that are early Ulduar swords, check your sheets before passing thinking all weapon specs are equal.

I'd imagine that takes that item out of the equation.

Does anyone know how much of an upgrade the [Furious Gladiator's Spike] is over Daschal's? Should be getting it in 2 weeks. I already have a Daschels however.

So I was actually looking into that earlier this week. I inputted the dagger into Aldriana's spreadsheet and got a significant DPS loss over Daschal's. I'm guessing it's the trade off of DPS stats for all that stam and resilience that does it in. It's barely an upgrade over Sinister Revenge however.

There's a chance I'm screwing up with the spreadsheet but that's what I'm showing when I replace the stats with Daschal's with the PvP Dagger. If you go for the fast PvP offhand, it's a decent upgrade over Webbed Death but still worse than the Shard Sticker though.

Edit: Somehow my brain made me spell Daschal's two different ways like the post above me. So yeah, edited for spelling.

General question, 80% of bosses I'm mutilate since my daggers are decent but a couple Ulduar bosses I get higher dps as combat so I like to switch and I'm wondering out of these setups which generally would be better choice for combat.

Would Silent crusader/Golem be more DPS with 5/5 Swordspec, or 5/5 CQC? Is Golem/WD 5/5 CQC out of the question? Again doesnt need to be exact, thanks.

General consensus is that combat dagger is no longer viable due to lower DPE and positionning issues (Kologarn and Auriaya to name a few). I would stick with Golem shard/WD as mutilate until I ran into a better MH for combat. Wether it be CG if you still run Naxx25, or one of the new fists (mimiron/Leviathan hard mode);swords (Malice from Kologarn); or even mace (thorim 25) from Ulduar.

As for your question, the simple answer is to use the spreadsheet for each of the described scenarios. My guess would be that if you plan on using a sword in MH, you are better off with sword spec. If you dont have a decent sword offhand available, use the fastest dagger you have available for more potency procs. Given the ilevel disparity between golem shard sticker and WD, the dps difference might offset the weapon speed difference (1.5 vs 1.4), so again I recommend you to input it in the spreadsheet.
