What version was hacked? Keep in mind you must hack a version that still has a Rupture rotation as a selectable option.

I used the current spreadsheet that is found on the first page of this thread. We are talking about combat specs here, rupture still works in the combat sheet; it does not in the most recent mutilate sheet however.

Hello, I tried looking for this myself but didn't find anything. How does one go about "hacking" the combat sheet to force the tier 8 bonus to be activated? Apologies if this has already been answered. Thanks.

One way to do it is to un-hide the Calculations sheet and submit '1' in cell B12. Bear in mind, though, that this will make for a simplified imitation of the Rupture change; meaning: It's been mentioned a couple of times that since the 4pT8 bonus was becoming increasingly irrelevant as the recent versions of the sheets were released, the bonus itself wasn't modelled with the same level of detail as was the case earlier. As such, forcing the imitation of the Rupture change may produce slightly less than accurate results.

They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.

While playing around with the settings today I noticed two things:

1) Unchecking "Physical Vulnerability Debuff" does not change dps. You can uncheck it and recheck it and dps will never change. Maybe this is built into the dps and there just isn't a turn off switch, or it could be missing from the dps; but I highly doubt that. I am guessing there just isn't a way to turn it off because this is a combat spreadsheet... and anybody using the combat spreadsheet should be spec'd into Savage Combat; I was more interested in seeing how much damage it added though.

2) Damage Buff (All types) - Feral Druid does not provide Ferocious Inspiration; that is given by Beast Master Hunters. Also, Arcane Mages should be added to this list as they give Arcane Empowerment.

It doesn't change because you have put points into Savage Combat in your talents. If you remove your points, and also uncheck the box for the physical vulnerability debuff, your DPS decreases just as expected.

This might be a bit unintuitive at first, but perfectly logical when you think about it.

New Settings sheet, automatic Racials, updated Lich King weapons, and everything else that makes the new Combat sheet so great, as well as having Heroic Presence auto-disabled and it's checkbox shaded red if you aren't an Alliance race.

There were a TON of changes involved in this version, so if there are any bugs please let me know via PM so I can fix them ASAP.
For some reason the modified version shows me doing more dps than on the mutilate 1.3.3 sheet (11425 on modified vs 11316 on 1.3.3) and the only difference is that I'm using haste food option on the modified version and AP food on the 1.3.3. Are you going off a different version of the mutilate spreadsheet for the modified one or did I just put a piece of gear in wrong?

1) Please keep anything regarding my modified version in PM's, Aldriana has asked previously that this thread be kept free from questions, etc. about the modified/custom sheets.
2) PM me your sheet and actual char/server, as the one you have linked in your profile is incorrect, so I can't help you without it.

Thanks to Lummox, I found an error in the Settings sheet that popped up when I switched it to the new format.

You can download the corrected version from the link above, or you can modify it yourself in the Settings Sheet, Cell D28

Old:
=1+0.04*MAX(IF(C28=TRUE,1,0),SavageCombat/2)
New:
=1+0.04*MAX(IF(C28=TRUE,1,0),0)

Aldriana: I'll be PMing you a version with all my custom modifcations removed, but in the same format used by the new combat sheet so you don't have to do all the Settings/Racial changes yourself.

Is the 5-30% damage zone wide damage buff included into the current spreadsheet? I realize it does not matter for gear selection but it is helpful to see how close my dps is to the theoretical maximum.

You can just multiple your DPS by 5%.. why would you need the spreadsheet to do it for you?

I think he means if he sees that his spreadsheet dps is 11200 and he performs at 11000 on, say, festergut he wants to know if the 5% inflated his numbers. And the answer is that the spreadsheet does not take the zone buffs into account because they have no bearing on what gear/spec is the right choice. Not to mention that you can choose to not use the buff and that it would be silly to create a new version of the spreadsheet every time the buff increases.

RE: Zone-wide buffs

I guess I could create a pull-down menu that allows you to select the buff amount, but it's not something that I would bother updating the sheet specifically for.

So, i was wondering if how to add a piece of gear to the spreadsheet that isn't there already.
I have the Bloodfang Hood from Onyxia 25 man, and i'd wish to use that in the spreadsheet.

I Doubt changing the EP value of some other helm works, and the EP values change with how much you have each stat, right?

You will want to add it "properly" in the gear sheet.

- unhide the gearsheet (if you dont know how to do that, there is no reason to continue)
- scroll down to the slot you wish to add an item to
- copy the WHOLE LINE of a NON-SET NON-PROC item from the middle of the block, you can do that by clicking on the row number and selecting copy (you can't add proc or set items on your own, suck it up)
- right-click on the row number and select to insert the copied cells.
- modify name, stats, sockets and socket bonus to your likings, DONT TOUCH Type, Rank, Equipped or Basescore, only modify colums for stats that are present on the item tooltip.
