There is no reason at all to go searching through the entire thread looking for an attachment. If you are on the main page for rogues (elitistjerks.com/f78), look for the thread you want... and next to the title of the thread IE: this thread... will be a little red box. Click on the red box and a list of attachments will open. Then just click on the attachment you wish to download. No more searching.

Searched, but didn't see this asked. Is there any way to factor movement/uptime on a given target into the calculations, especially as it applies to poisons?
Through experimentation I've found several fights where double wound is superior (most notably Anub), but I was curious if there was a way do get a more scientific projection, though if not I can continue quick guestimation math, experimentation, and WWS/recount analysis of DP vs WP damage contribution.
EDIT: Realize I can adjust combat duration, I was speaking also to movement, and trying to factor downtime and the availability of CDs over the entire duration of the fight figuring in average "downtime".

There was a run down a week or two ago on movement & running double WP viability. I'll have to look back for the post but double WP was definately viable.
Edit: Found the WP post

How to spreadsheet if your items are BIS or near BIS?
Hey guys. I hit 80 a week ago and have been running heroics & reg ToC like crazy gearing up. I want to use the spreadsheet to help me make decisions on certain pieces, enchants, gems, etc. but the spreadsheet only offers the top (or near) BIS items. I want to be able to use it for items like Omen of Ruin or Greed--the lower weapons & armor.
Is there a way to do that?

I just started raiding on my rogue again for the first time in WOTLK and I've been using the Combat 1.2 spreadsheet. I just recently downloaded the beta and I'm now seeing that Mongoose is out performing Berserking while fully raid buffed. I referred back to the 1.2 spreadsheet and in the same gear and with the same buffs Berserking was ahead by a pretty large amount, about 50 dps on the MH alone. But on the beta spreadsheet, under the same circumstances, Mongoose is showing as ahead by about 7 dps on the MH. And after experimenting with throwing in better gear, Mongoose continues to get better and better. My understanding was that Mongoose eventually would pull ahead in a combat build, but only at really high gear levels. I've only been raiding for a couple of weeks on this toon, so my gear isn't exactly superb. I still have a lot of ILVL 200 items, and I have very poor weapons. I am a Hack and Slash spec, 15/51/5 build.
My question is has anything changed since the 1.2 spreadsheet that would have caused Mongoose to be superior earlier, or is this unintended? Thanks!

The only way to do that, would be to manually add in all the items that you think would be a stepping stone for you. What I recommend instead, is to use a site like Shadowpanther.net, to see what items are easily obtainable for you. While Shadowpanther isnt always very accurate for what an items real dps contribution may be, it does, however, let you see a logical upgrade path.

Yeah--I check out shadowpanther every day!
I just wanted to see number-wise what increases I'd see (in a spreadsheet). No big deal I guess.

While Shadowpanther is a useful tool for a first-glance at gear comparison, its major drawback is that item stats are given a static equivalency weight. One of the primary purposes of the Gear spreadsheets in this thread are to estimate the worth of pieces of gear by calculating dynamic item stat equivalency weights. In other words, the relative worth of a piece of gear can and does change depending on a myriad of factors such as existing equipped gear, presence or absence of buffs and debuffs, combat duration, and others.
It is very simple to modify existing items in the spreadsheet to reflect gear that is available to you. Unhide the gear worksheet and manually change item names and stats in order to compare the pieces you are interested in. Remember that the total point value the spreadsheet assigns to a item is approximate and that the best way to compare between pieces of gear is to compare the modeled DPS output under the differing gear sets.

I have been working with the 1.3 Beta 4 sheet and decided to change the bloodfang mask to the 25 man version since I picked it up last night and it comes out as BiS for my gear. Since I was adjusting gear I was going to rename some of the alliance gear to horde gear but when I alter some of the gear names such as VancCleef's Pauldrons of Triumph it causes column B, C, and G to go haywire in the entire sheet.
Anyone know why this is?

If you change a piece in the Gear sheet that is actively selected in one of the dropdowns on the Equipment sheet, it makes Excel throw errors. Temporarily pick a different piece of gear in the dropdown, change what you need to in the Gear sheet, then select that item again.

I was under the asumption that the eviscerate only cycle would trump the high rupture cycle given considerable upgrades in 4 slots.
When I use my current gear, gem agil for high rupture, it only falls behind ~60dps when going with significant upgrades (w/ armpen gems), as noted:
Conquerer Terrorblade Helmet --> Hood of lethal Intent
Conquerer Terrorblad Chest ---> Knightbane Carapace
Conquerer Terrorblade Gauntlets ---> Silver Assasin gauntlets
Valours Terrorblade legs ---> VanCleef's Legpants of Triumph
I am setting, Use 3.2.2 ArmPen Conversation to YES (seems logical choice).
Are those using the Eviscerate only cycle seeing this low - fair dps gain from switching from high rupturer? I was hoping for something a little more signifcant.
note: I am using the 1.3(beta4) sheet.

But for those that are equipping their toons, it is not that important, so guides shadowpanther like are more than enough. I dont think anyone need to min-max at heroic/naxx gear level.

Or use my companion sheet! Now with the ability to change from Alliance to Horde names and back.
[edit: the BF mask stats being wrong are already known.]

The latest sheet only has the 10man version of the Bloodfang helm and some reverse stats on it as it put in the sheet in the earlier days of Ony being changed and has since been updated to have better stat allocation then it originally had. So you'll have to update that helm yourself if you wish to check it. The Wowhead version is the correct stats.
