Just a suggestion, can you add other gems instead of gems suited for that slot?
I wanna see how much my DPS would be, if i actually use +10agi and +15 stam for my blue slots.
I'm currently using +10 Agi and +15 Stam for my Blue slot, to replace the need of using Nightmare's Tear.
Was hoping to see what's my DPS difference if i were to change it.
As a simple rule of thumb, you NEVER gem blue. You toss in a Nightmare tear wherever your bonus is best, but unless you have two items which both offer a bonus superior to what you are losing by putting in a purple over a red/orange/yellow (i.e. a bonus of more than 10agi/10hit/20 AP, etc.), you're losing DPS. How much exactly you are losing isn't all that interesting considering that the function of such as tool is maximising your DPS - which assumes you will be avoiding notoriously sub-optimal choices.
And by the way, such items are quite rare; the [Guise of the Midgard Serpent] is pretty much the only piece of gear I can think of that actually offers a bonus worth going out of your way to get, and it's starting to be quite old.
If im not mistaken, the poison hitcap with the 3% debuff from a boomkin/spriest and with 5/5 precision is 236,08793448 -> 237 or 9%.
1% spellhit is 26,23199272, that means, with 0/5 precision, you need 14% spellhit, 26,23199272 * 14 which is 367,24789808, or 368hit.
IF im right, the calculation of the poison hitacp doesnt account for how much points you have in precision.
With my gear, deathbringers will instead of tiny abom and skinned whelp shoulders H instead of t10.251 shoulders, my hit drops to 292.
With 0/5 precision my poison hitcap is 368, which is 76 more than i have, and this is roughly 2.9% spellhit.
But the tool displays that im sitting at 0.00% spellmiss.
First off let me say great app, love the look and it's very easy to use.
The DPS seems to be bang on and easily within 1% for me from my saved reports.
As with most spreadsheets it seems to undervalue how essential getting to that expertise cap is (not through gemming as that's always quite the opposite) as when I look at a piece of gear, anything with expertise is below anything without when not capped. When replacing a piece, anything without expertise is typically rated higher despite dropping you dangerously low on expertise. I.E 25/25 exp, 126 rating, there is absolutely no value in throwing in a 10 hit/10 exp gem somwhere to over-cap
All haste buffs are multiplacitive with each other, meaning 40% haste from SnD and 20% from Windfury Totem add up to 68% haste. However, all haste rating basically gets converted to a single haste buff, so these buffs are only additive. If you have 2 items having haste rating worth 10%, they give combined only 20% haste.
Thanks, the 5% were active for poisons all the time, leftover from an early version.
The expertise cap is actually not as important as most people think (especially the last few 0.X %). Since rogues are generally only energy capped and not GCD capped, dodged finishers/specials usually only increases their average energy cost. Tho i myself would happily sacrifice 0.01% of my dps to know that my sinister strike will never be dodged.
Is there a particular reason the app won't let me equip anything but a dagger in my offhand for SubHemo?
I've been using [Flesh-Carving Scalpel] until now, but today I got [Scourgeborne Waraxe] which I consider a rather significant upgrade. I managed to equip it in iDPS by switching to Combat, equipping it, and switching back to SubHemo - it shows a plus of ~210dps. Is this a valid way of equipping an axe in the offhand or am I corrupting the results by doing so?
My app is having trouble saving separate profiles. I'm trying to change my mutilate set into combat gear and every time I switch between the two to compare stuff, all the settings get mixed and reset. Is this a known issue or am I just really lucky?
