I've been using the export to EnhSim from Rawr just fine for about a month with the Silverlight version, but I've been compiling from source. I'm not sure if it's a permissions issue or just that the latest release is out of date, if it's not working for others. However the stats from Rawr are incorrect as they're not all updated to level 85 calculations so be careful what you're reading from the GUI. I submitted a patch to export accurate stats (7993, see Rawr - Patches), which is what I've been using for simming upgrades, but it's still being evaluated by the developers.

I've been using Chardev for a while now.

Step 1: Create an account at chardev 8 - Cataclysm Beta.
Step 2: Import your character from the armory. (Or create a profile manually)
Step 3: Once your character is set with enchants, reforging, specing, etc.: Open the "config.txt" file inside your EnhSim folder. Input the data from the chardev.org profile. Edit whatever is necessary between weapon enchants, set bonuses, and obviously stats. Save the .txt file with another name (This is what I do.)
Step 4: Open the .txt file you've created from EnhSim & simulate.

If EnhSim is capable of accepting items by ID then devs should look at http://simulationcraft.googlecode.co...sc_chardev.cpp on how to download a CharDev profile directly. It is all of 200 lines. If you need any help just PM me.

Probably because no one has told us how it works on the PTR.

EDIT

Need to know if the 680 damage is affected by the offhand penalty
Need to know if the 680 damage applies to specials, specifically Stormstrike and Lava Lash.
If it applies to specials, need to know if the 680 damage applies before modifiers or after, ie is it adding a flat 680 to Stormstrike or is it adding 680 which is then being increased by 125% for the base damage increase and then increased by another 145% for Focused Strikes?
What about Lava Lash?
What about Unleash Windfury?
What about Windfury Procs?

My dummy logs for Unheeded warning testing are here; EnhSim for Cataclysm

This was done after the WF/FT changes, but I haven't done any testing recently as I'm away and running with 2000ms ping at the moment so further testing on my part will not be viable until I get back home around the end of January.

Mengus, I appreciate the effort but I'm not sifting through those logs. If you or anyone else wants that trinket modeled in the sim then answer those questions.

EDIT - Thank you, Syn and Panda, for posting those results. Still getting an ambiguous read on how it is working on the melee white hits. Naked white hits with a low dps weapon should tell us if the proc has even been changed yet, so we still need more testing to know how to properly model the thing.

Just did a quick number pull from Mengus' logs, and these are some typical damage values for the various abilities (unbuffed listed first, with Heedless Carnage buff listed second). Parse date is 13 Jan 2011.

MH auto: 3697 / 4703
OH auto: 1804 / 2297
SS: 3233 / 3262
UW: 2239 / 2235
WF MH: 7490 / 7477
WF OH: 3654 / 3655
Lava Lash wasn't used in the parse.

Those example values are just convenient ones I pulled, with abilities sometimes differing in damage values through the parse, but I took ability pairs from just pre-buff and just post-buff for all of them. This general pattern was displayed throughout all the HW proc blocks.

From the values above, it looks like none of our yellows are being affected by it, but that whites are. However, these values are seeming closer to a 25% white damage buff than to a +680 damage buff:
MH Auto no buff: 3697
MH Auto no buff +680: 4377
MH Auto no buff +25%: 4621
MH Auto with buff: 4703

OH Auto no buff: 1804
OH Auto no buff +680/2: 2144
OH Auto no buff +25%: 2255
OH Auto with buff: 2297

Clearly this all has a pretty large margin for error since I'm just doing napkin maths on isolated incidents, but it either hasn't been changed yet, or doesn't affect yellows, making it a pretty minor change in performance rather than the massive buff everyone was expecting. More latest-build testing is required I guess, and of course confirmation once it does actually go live.

This may have already been figured out (as Panda just said) but I just did some naked tests on a dummy on the PTR naked with just the trinket and two 1.4 speed req lvl 11 daggers with 7-13 damage (7.2 dps) from a vendor in Orgrimmar. Stormstrike damage averaged around 160-165 both with and without the proc and Lava Lash damage averaged 225-230 with and without the proc. Here's the damage tooltip:

As for white hits, melee hits min 522 max 568 and averaged 545 with the proc.
Without, min 44 max 91 and averaged 68. The min damage is probably offhand whites and the max is probably mainhand whites. Hope this helps!

Edit: New Lava Lash animation is beast.

DMC: Hurricane has been changed on the PTR. Instead of being treated as a spell, it is being treated as a melee attack that does nature damage.

Ticket to update the alpha build

This was already brought up by Ryethe on the EnhSim ticket, but does it ignore armor like Lava Lash? Also, currently it's treated as a spell so it's effected by spell damage buffs. What buffs effect it now? Physical vulnerability debuff?

Definitely ignores armor, not sure about the buffs but should just set it up so that it is affected by everything that affects Lava Lash. Which would be 8% spell damage but not 4% physical damage. Also should be affected by melee crit buffs not spell crit buffs

Is DMC:H still affected by mastery, though? Silly question to ponder, I know, but it hadn't been mentioned. Just a little paranoid, since I intended on picking one up this sunday.

On a side note as of the most recent patch Unheeded Warning still only buffs auto-attack damage and none of our special attacks.Talked to a rogue who said it "seemed to be" working on all his attacks - but I wouldn't trust his word on the matter. I doubt it will be revised.
