I wasn't referring to a BiS list with that comment, I was just referring to what I had to do with the regular eye I am currently using. I don't really do BiS lists, although I do appreciate the work Ashunera puts into this one. My raid doesn't progress as fast as others so I find upgrade lists more helpful for my own purposes.

The problem with EnhSim is that I don't keep track of the various ratings. For example, the sim doesn't keep track of Crit Rating, but Crit % instead. I don't have a good way of tracking the relative ratings between crit, haste and mastery, so I have modeled the Matrix trinket as only effecting Mastery. This means that using the Hungerer might incorrectly inflate the usefulness of the Matrix trinket since it might use crit rating instead of mastery on live when the Hungerer also procs.
The only way to solve this is by having EnhSim switching over to tracking rating directly and then deriving the percentages from the base stats. But that is a much larger change and I want to focus on some smaller changes first.

Looking at my current haste and mastery ratings (684 and 1855 respectively), I can't see any reason that, if [Hungerer] were up, Matrix wouldn't always proc haste instead of mastery. Can't you just take starting values of each stat, check that the difference between the two is less than 1532 or 1730 (reg and heroic), and then just do a check for the Hungerer buff when procing Matrix? It's clunky, but it would work.

It would work fine for Haste, since there's currently a direct map between unbuffed haste percentage and haste rating. The real problem comes into accounting for crit rating, since the sim currently doesn't know enough to derive your crit rating from crit percentage. If the sim tracked talent points in Acuity it might work, but the sim doesn't currently track talents that show up in the paper doll stats.
Since this is pretty straight-forward, I'll just go ahead and add in the haste versus mastery rating comparison. It will at least make the trinket model more accurate than hard-coding mastery always. Once I figure out how deep I want to go to solve the crit rating problem, I'll add that in as well.

Updated. Replaced [Ancient Petrified Seed] with [Variable Pulse Lightning Capacitor] in both the melee and spell power main hand profiles.
Wanted to make a special note about this as trinkets tend to be widely sought after.
Variable Pulse Lightning Capacitor (heroic) is an upgrade over Ancient Petrified Seed. It is, however, a very small upgrade, it only provides roughly a 50 dps increase. I wanted to make sure people aren't freaking out about getting VPLC as an Enhancement Shaman, as it's likely to be a much larger boost for any spell caster.
The normal and heroic versions are both good alternatives to Ancient Petrified Seed if you are an engineer, due to the fact that they do not interfere with Synapse Springs, and especially if remaining near the spell hit cap is difficult at your specific gear level.

So I've recently acquired EoP and I've been trying to find a way to make casting lavaburst less painful and I've found that wedging Lava Burst between mw4 and mw2 gives a slight boost in dps (about 68 with the BiS config, slightly more with my own gear). Now I'm wondering if that combination was just overlooked or if there is something I've missed? It definitely makes it less of a strain for me but I'm not sure if it actually provides more dps.

It was overlooked - I didn't try that specific priority, though when you start getting into multiple different Maelstrom stack priorities that are fairly close together, it will get a bit messy when trying to do it in game.
Regardless, I've updated the caster config with your changes, and have made another - Flametongue/Flametongue imbues with the Flametongue glyph is a slight increase, but I wanted to point out that this is likely to only ever be the case if you are using HEROIC Variable Pulse Lightning Capacitor and Eye of Purification. The normal version of VPLC is outdone by APS, Fluid Death, and, of course, Matrix Restabilizer, and a large part of FT/FT's value comes from that trinket. If you have the normal version, be sure to sim it against your other possible setups.
It's also worth mentioning that it seems Mastery, with that setup, is more valuable than Expertise, but the gear is setup so that it's not possible to convert any of the Expertise present to more Mastery so no changes were made.

Vial of Shadows is quite unique, the proc scales with attack power. Seemed to be 1 damage per attack power increase. This was on the raid finder version though, no idea if the normal/heroic versions have better scaling or not.

How sure is the data on the Vial? I just got the heroic version of the matrix but I know for a fact its BiS for our bear druid and wouldnt want to take it over him if Matrix was 3rd BiS

I'm not sure where you're getting this, but I'm pretty sure that [Wrath of Unchaining] and [Resolve of Undying] (heroic versions of both - iLvl 416, since mouseovers don't want to point to the right thing) are going to take the cake as the Bear BiS trinkets in DS.
Edit: I could be wrong on this, if so please point me to proof that Restabilizer is better than either of those trinkets for bears.

From my understanding the static agi from the matrix does much more than straight up dodge, the mastery proc gives much larger savage defense shields, etc. If anything it's probably pretty close but another benefit for bear Druids using the matrix is that the trinket is just as good when he goes cat when not tanking on madness of deathwing. The latest version of the sim doesn't have the vial (unless I'm stupid and havent found the new version) so I can't tell for sure what's best.
