About the LB_DPS vs CL_DPS debate, here is a message I posted yesterday answering to hundreds of chams claiming that CL did not have any interest.

Very quick translation from one of my posts :
I've taken the 3 highest elemental DPS recorded on Patchwerk25 using CL in their rotation.
WoW Meter Online - Combatlog Replay in Engrish
WMO has a big avantage, it separates CL/LB from the overload procs.
Overload proc rate on LB: 20%
Overload proc rate on CL: 7%
Thus, in order to completely compare those 2 spells, we will have to multiply average LB damages by (1 + 20%*50%) = 1.1 and CL damage by (1 + 7%*50%) = 1.035 to include overload procs.
This corrertion avantages LB of course, mais it does reflect the reality, so have to be taken into account.
The highest elemental using CL:
Avg LB: 4386 * 1.1 = 4825
Avg CL: 3820 * 1.035 = 3954 (= 82% of 4825)
Avg LB crit: 9168 * 1.1 = 10085
Avg CL crit: 7399 * 1.035 = 7658 (= 76% of 10085)
2nd one:
Avg LB: 4269 * 1.1 = 4696
Avg CL: 3568 * 1.035 = 3693 (= 79% of 4696)
Avg LB crit: 9005 * 1.1 = 9905
Avg CL crit: 8104 * 1.035 = 8388 (= 85% de 9905)
3rd one:
Avg LB: 4217 * 1.1 = 4639
Avg CL: 3548 * 1.035 = 3672 (= 79% of 4639)
Avg LB crit: 8934 * 1.1 = 9827
Avg CL crit: 7247 * 1.035 = 7501 (= 76% of 9827)
That's it for the 3 highest elementals using CL recorded on Patchwerk fight.
I remind that CL casting time = 75% of LB casting time.
We did not find any example where "average CL damage < 75% of LB average damage"
The gain is not always huge, but it does exist.
If you add the fact that CL is faster spell that can be used to tighten more your rotation and optimize the usage of LvB CD, I really don't see any reason to not using it.

If you find any error, please tell me.
Of course, that's only 3 examples, too small sample to prove anything.
But I see that in an other way: that's 3 out of the 3 that I've looked at.
