As most of you are aware there existed a bug in the TW implementation going back to June where due to lag you would not get the TW buff if you chain casted LHW or HW after a CH. the worst part is TW would go up while you were casting and one proc would be used by the cast even though you did not get a cast time reduction. For me, @ 200 ms latency it occured about 1/3 of the time. Other saw more or less frequency, but everyone could reproduce it.


I (and several others) posted on this many times in the beta and 3.0+, and Bliz never actually even acknowledged it.


I tested last night in Naxx extensivly, and noticed that the bug never occured. I would estimate 100ish CH->HW/LHW casts over the course of the night and never noticed the bug (although in all honestly I did not focus on it heavily during boss fights). My latency seemed about the same, althought he 'naxx lag' was significantly reduced by the patch.

My quesiton is, has anyone seen the bug in 3.08 or can we cross that off the list of worries?

I can confirm that this bug is indeed fixed. I suppose in some circumstances it could still fail, but i can not reproduce it at the moment and before the patch i could do it 100% of the time.

this would be rather interesting, because Blizzard changed the Arcane Blast mechanic for mages because they didn't think they could solve the (very similar) problem.
