I'm currently using 2.2.1.
For some reason it says that Wraith Strike is a better weapon for me than Calamity's Grasp, or even Golden Saronite Dragon.

A few people have said this but no-one ever gives me solid test data to show what might be wrong. Can you give me Rawr values with your regular kit ie: what dps does each ability give. Export this to EnhSim and tell me what EnhSim says. Then equip Wraith Strike and give all those values, export that new config to EnhSim and tell me what EnhSim says.
By comparing the two sets of results it should be a lot easier to work out what is happening and in what part of the code I need to focus my attention. I know something is wrong as several people have reported that with their kit they see the effect. However my psychic powers are weak at present as there is no R in the month so I can't read your mind and see what you are seeing without you providing concrete data.

Yeah, I was figuring you'd probably need more information than that. I'll get on to it.
Seems like it would be nice if there was an easier to way to EnhSim your Rawr setup, like skipping the copy paste part.

I don't know what is much easier then pressing 3 buttons:
1. Click export
2. Click copy from clipboard
3. Click simulate
EnhSim can't be added to Rawr since they are separate programs (and written in different languages)

I know they're different programs, and I'm not asking for them to be integrated. Running your character from Rawr in EnhSim could be made as simple as pointing Rawr to the EnhSim binary+config. I'm not saying it's a big deal, I agree it is not hard to copy paste, was just saying it could be made easier (and fewer steps reduces chance of human error). If you're testing out a lot of configurations copy pasting gets old fast.

Okay, then I didn't ask my question well enough.
I can add all the gems through the edit gemming templates. But 2 things happen then:
1) Get a HUGE list for loot. With every option available to me.
2) I can't seem to use another JC gem. So say I want one Bright and one Perfect Dragon eye on an item. I can't seem to get both. I can get 2 of one, or 2 of the other. The Dragon's Eye don't seem to be on the edit gemming on the item option.

For your previous number 2:
|
2) When I click on upgrades - I see the same thing multiple times with different gems. Is there any way to only see one and then allow me to gem it? Kinda limit the options shown?
|
Now, I have not tested it, but it should work:
1. Define gemming template as empty, as in you do not want Rawr to use nay gems. That should provide the items without any gems used - however this might undervalue the items since gem slots use item budget.
2. Once you have selected the item and is on your paper doll, right click and select Equip Custom Gemming. This is pretty much what I have been doing to get an export I like to the Sim.
Edit: There seems to be a small annoying bug in the Rawr armory importer. Whenever I import my char I get 4 glyphs instead of 3. If you trying importing my char - Onos, realm - Kel'Thuzad, region - US. And then look at glyphs you will see:
flametongue, windfury, feral spirits and SS, but it should only be windfury, feral spirits and SS
All this using Rawr 2.2.2 (it told me this morning there was a newer version). 2.1.0 was doing the same
Edit 2:

Ok I was able to replicate this. Loading my char from armory, not adding any buffs (adding buffs still keeps Wraith Strike over Calamity in Rawr - but this should make it easier to reproduce). However I did remove the foruth glyph FT which gets added.
Rawr shows that WS would add about 35 DPS over CG.
Rawr - EnhSim breakdown with WS:
White - 1013 VS 1031
WF - 355 vs 442
FT - 425 vs 430
SS - 265 vs 217
LL - 251 vs 180
Magma - 322 vs 389
ES - 477 vs 426
LB - 611 vs 560
LS - 197 vs 190
SW - 110 vs 171
Total - 4031 - 4034
Rawr - EnhSim breakdown with CG:
White - 1141 - 1162
WF - 410 - 515
FT - 376 - 382
SS - 301 - 247
LL - 256 - 183
Magma - 271 - 360
ES - 430 - 387
LB - 526 - 489
LS - 170 - 169
SW - 111 - 172
Total - 3996 - 4071
One point which looks suspicious is Magma Totem. It loses 50 DPS in Rawr and only 20 in EnhSim, so one of them seems to have a wrong coeff. I would guess.

Whilst I appreciate the desire to help. Running EP calcs in either program is going to be very very meaningless. What I need is the simulated DPS figures not EP values as EP doesn't tell you what the source of the damage is ie: what ability does what.

NO its not going to happen for numerous reasons. First and foremost there are plenty of options in EnhSim that are nothing to do with Rawr. Such as simulation time, EP weights etc (Rawr doesn't use EP values at all - its a common misconception that Rawr does its calculations by using EP weights).
To store all those options would need basically to replicate all of EnhSimGUI which is a LOT of additional and completely unnecessary work. Some have suggested replacing EnhSimGUI with Rawr would then make it easier however that would then make using EnhSim dependant on Rawr. EnhSim is a separate standalone project with a sole developer in charge, Rawr is a large project which I am but one developer on. I have only a small say in when a new release comes out, so I can't update Rawr and have it ready when a new version of EnhSim is ready. Basically I cannot try to turn Rawr into a GUI front end for EnhSim and have no wish to do so.
Rawr is an entirely standalone program and my goal is to have it give reasonably accurate results within the confines of a closed form solution. A simulator will always give more accurate results for those that need them and so the two button click approach to export your stats really is easy. I cannot see how you can possibly complain that clicking two buttons "gets old fast" you must have an exceptionally low boredom threshold.

Thanks for the report, the new armoury has glyphs the old armoury didn't, so it was importing your glyphs and the default glyphs. Some other developer has added support for importing glyphs from armoury so the old method of setting defaults is no longer required. I've therefore fixed this for the next release.
I'll have a detailed look at your WS issue many thanks for the report. Now I have the source of EnhSim running under a debugger I can compare the code side by side to see where the calcs differ. Your report helps me decide where to look first though and as such is really handy.

Just a minor issue, but I've been exporting from Rawr (2.2.1 and 2.2.2 now) to EnhSim 1.7.0 and EnhSim isn't recognizing any of the enchants or trinkets from Rawr. Rawr is exporting them as item IDs and that is how they end up showing in the EnhSim GUI options window.
Here is the Rawr XML:

Now I know I have a lot of crappy gear (I've gone with Resto as my primary PVE spec and Enhance is to be my PVP spec, hopefully) and some items like 44914, the Anvil of Titans, isn't on EnhSim's trinket list, but items like 37390, Meteorite Whetstone are, and yet are "not found" when EnhSim does its simulation. Possibly because it is looking for a text string and not an item ID number?
I haven't seen anyone else post this issue, so I'm not sure if I've FUBARed something (as I've gone through a lot of different builds of EnhSim and Rawr recently) or if one of my items is breaking the process. EnhSim should not be able to recognize my meta (Thundering Skyflare, I'm trying to determine if it as bad as the Thundering Skyfire was), my MH enchant (Exceptional Spellpower, as it is shared by my Resto set) and my Totem (Splintering, until I get around to investing Valor marks back into my Enhance gear).
Hope this is any help if this turns out to be a legitimate issue, and my apologies if it's just me screwing stuff up with too much poking around.
Additionally, Rawr seems to continue to rate certain spellpower items higher than it should (though with my current setup spellpower is actually quite powerful for me, as confirmed by EnhSim). I would again agree that a spell coefficient is likely at fault.

After receiving Vulmir the other night the optimizer is replacing CG in my main hand as well. I believe this must be happening because Rawr is assuming I have it available for both weapon slots since it is "one handed." After reading Rawr's site and searching here, I am unable to find a workaround. Is there some way to stop the same weapon to be equipped in main hand and off hand?

I just went into the item definition and made it an off hand only item. Or maybe I made it unique equip? One of those two.

Exporting ItemIDs is the way ShockAndAwe & Rawr now work as I have said a couple of times in various threads now. What we need to check is if EnhSim is warning that its rejecting those items. I've asked Tukez to include that in v1.7.1.
I've been looking at the spellpower issue and noted (and fixed) that I wasn't including boss fire & nature resistance this is only base of 15 (5 times boss (83) less player (80) level difference) ie: only 2.8125% but still thats 2.8128% dps less for all spellpower calcs. I am also trying to track an issue which MIGHT just be a display issue where its showing spellpower including FT base bonus (211) on the stats sheet. If I comment out the additional spellpower formula the display still shows a 211 spellpower difference which is odd. Especially since with Elemental weapons talent its +274. I'm wondering therefore if its not a display issue and somewhere its adding extra 211 spellpower ie: weapons are getting buffed with FT twice. This 211 extra spellpower might potentially swing things in favour of spellpower weapons.
However having said that all my testing suggests that its a display issue and the real issue lies elsewhere.

The suggestion of a workaround of simply using Tools Edit Item and changing it to unique-equipped will prevent the optimiser using two of the, is a good one. I'd go with that.

Please use the EnhSim by Ziff & others to simulate what gear, priorities etc are the best dps. You can use ShockAndAwe to export your paperdoll stats to EnhSim.

What version are you using? What is your option to show different gemmed items set to? The default is 3, ie: only show 3 variants of the same item with different gems. On the Edit Gemming Templates window there is an option to controp the "Top Gemmings to show" setting this to 1 will restrict it to only 1 version of the item of equipment with the top gemming equipped. The default is 3 versions with top 3 gem configs.
