Discussion for the use of the 'fire knives' (Caster MH, Fast Melee OH, FT x2).

I realize this will be short lived, but for those of us wanting to mix it up a little before 3.1 hits, we have some time to play around with it. Personally I've noticed a substantial DPS upgrade in my first fire knives outing in Malygos 25. Granted, this fight lends itself to this particular style, as spamming LB in sparks gives some nice big numbers.

Any suggestions for itemization, and in particular which pieces are worth swapping out for more caster oriented ones... Of particular interest are trinkets.

Sim it. In general, Enhance gear will still win out... usually excepting gear with large chunks of haste. Do the leg work if you want to find out. Sim it.

I've been doing dual FT for the past couple weeks now, and I have to say I'm a big fan of it. I'm basically using my resto gear, but with a few changes to get rid of mp5 and add HR. The only problem I'm really noticing with it is the lack of hit rating on non-tier mail sp gear. Because of this limitation right now, I'm still using [Grim Toll] in one of my trinket spots until I can get [Dying Curse]. On the whole though, I've found that it's very competitive dps and on most fights I'm in the top 3 or 4 dps, following a standard enh rotation, keeping magma totem up, etc.

Ive swapped out to using a [Cudgel of Saronite Justice] and [Murder] and stacking a bit more haste than I did pre 3.0.9 while i wait for 3.1 (still have normal melee mail gear on). DPS has gone back to the same levels that it was, I'm happy for now.

It's boring as sin for me. It's more consistent damage, but I don't have to pay attention at all. At least with WF the SS|ES overlap was a conditional debate and required a little thought on my part(MW stack/WF cd), now it's just mash buttons when they light up.
