That might actually make it superior to Val'nyr then after all. My total healing from the legendrary proc is rarely above 6% on Twins.

I've only ever found glyph of HW useful in situations where I'm assigned to tank healing and we're both taking constant spikes of damage, i.e. something like Algalon 25.

Not seen it mentioned in this thread yet, but you can Earth Shield Dreamwalker to take advantage of the LHW Glyph - a potent combination when combined with a good PvP totem ([Furious Gladiator's Totem of the Third Wind] now available in Dalaran Sewers for only 12k honor with no rating requirements).

Hunter now retired to pugs, solo farming and Yogg 0. Long live the shaman!

EDIT : I guess I was lucky with the proc, and 25 players stacked at the entrance helped a lot. On tonight's 25 Bloodqueen , the proc represented only 5.4 to 1.5% of my healing on different tries.

Here are three log sections to demonstrate the exact effect:

* With 0 stacks of the debuff at the beginning of the fight, Ancestral Awakening behaves as expected: ~45% healing because of Purification and standard raid modifiers:

The frost totem seems decent for single-target healing. For raid healing, go with the triumph totem.

Depends purely on play style obviously, but the triumph totem still seems like the best for 25 where as the new one seems like it would be decent in 10 man. You'll eventually be able to grab them both regardless and see which one works out better.

I've been playing with the new totem + 2PcT10 for raid healing (with RT glyph), with very positive results. I've actually made this my normal set-up for most fights, since on those with "spike" raid damage, RT is usually the go-to heal (if the damage is single-target) or RT+hasted CH (if the damage on grouped, for instance on the melee).

I've found that on most fights, the net spellpower gained (sp from totem*%uptime) is higher for the new totem. I've even found myself preferring this setup on AoE damage fights like BQL and Sindragosa P3.

I have a question regarding the physical damage from Mark of the Fallen Champion. Last night while attempting Heroic 25 Saurfang we were experiencing, running 3 Holy Pally, Resto Druid, Resto SHaman and Discipline Priest setup, that the Mark of the Fallen Champion at times were ticking for 10k-12k/second. To reduce this damage, as it's physical, would the buff from Inspiration and Ancestral Fortitude double dip? ie: the tank takes 10% reduced damage from having the buff, meaning the damage from the Mark is reduced by 10% and the Mark damage is further reduced by 10% if the Mark affected person has the Inspiration/AF buff for a total of 19% reduced damage.

Just a query. So far though, Shaman have awesome viability on heroic Marrowgar, LDW and Saurfang. I was surprised of our viability on LDW given the high amount of movement required in p2 (to avoid MC'd people, ghosts etc) but it's a lot better than one can expect.

If anyone can try to answer my question, it would be a great help. Herioc Saurfang hits like a truck.

I found myself in the same situation, and I put my CH-totem on the bank now. The number of times I let the RT-stack drop even during heavy 25man AE damage I can count on a single hand, while the RT-totem also works for everything else. I only carry the -79 manacost on HW one around for switching now.

The big upside to the RT totem really is that if you need to switch roles midfight, reassign healers, do anything out of the ordinary - you're prepared.

Yeah that makes sense. I do want to check the totem out but it will have to wait for a little bit. I'm also thinking real hard if I consistently keep RT off cool down, because typically I like having it in case I need to move or in case someone dips - although with the 15 second window it's probably more than feasible. I like the fact that the CH totem gives an immediate 234 SP where as the new one you have to build up (especially if there's been a lull in damage), but regardless I want to check it out.

Not seen it mentioned in this thread yet, but you can Earth Shield Dreamwalker to take advantage of the LHW Glyph - a potent combination when combined with a good PvP totem ([Furious Gladiator's Totem of the Third Wind] now available in Dalaran Sewers for only 12k honor with no rating requirements).
Why use LHW? I guess it's much better to use HW, with the dreambuff it is nearly impossible to go oom...
