EP Values for Resto Shamans?

I have been searching for EP values in regard to Resto Shamans. I use Lootrank's template resto shaman values for bidding on items.

I know EP values will adjust as you up one stat, etc etc. For example, how much MP5 is enough MP5 so to speak? Some post suggest SP > MP5. So, in looking at gear, perhaps I have enough MP5 to forego an item with it in favor of something with more SP.

I did see a chart of MP5 gear/ Crit Gear with set bonus / Crit gear no set bonus on another thread which was very helpful. I plan on assembling a crit set based on the information found there.

At any rate, I was looking for a little guidance from the more experienced in regard to EP values. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

The [Resto] Healing Equivalency Points thread never turned up any authoritative HEP values (for good reason), but the discussion there is good and the HEP scales that were suggested all have some merit. I recommend reading the thread if you haven't already.

Also, [Resto] spreadsheets and calculations has some very good stuff in it. I've played around with Daidalos's sheet, and some of the others that have shared their spreadsheets in that thread sound very promising, including the ability to generate HEP scales, but I have not tried them myself yet.

[e] spelling

I'm in the process of producing some HEP values in my sheet but again HPS vs regen are completely dif calcs. Which you need is really your decision.

Thank for the information. I read through the HEP thread. Seems having separate sets of gear is best. I know on Patchwerk, a crit set would benefit me more. I'm contemplating using a haste set on Maly 25 simply because I find myself doing LHW and Riptide on the run in Phase 2, and only doing chain heals in the beginning and under the arcane bubbles. Even then I find myself wishing it was casting faster due to all the damage people take.

Thanks again guys

Just wondering:

During Bloodlust, if Flame Shock fades off, should I bother reapplying it?

In case not, should I cast Lava Bursts anyway? Consider that I pop Elemental Mastery along with Bloodlust.

What's a good site/utility/addon to see what my paperdoll stats will be with different sets of equipment without having access to that equipment.

WoWEquip used to be awesome but unfortunately hasn't been updated for WotLK, I haven't found any like it. The author says it's not abandoned just hasn't had time to rewrite it yet so maybe keep an eye on it

So now I have replaced my MH with a caster weapon an FT/FT, my badge totem seems quite useless ^^
I'm trying to replace it as fast as possible as long as I have to wait for Totem of Dueling to drop.

First I thought I'd go with [Savage Gladiator's Totem of Indomitability] but after I read the comments this item seems to be removed from the game.
I still have [Stonebreaker's Totem] which comes out very weak in enhsim.

I couldn find any numbers on [Venture Co. Flame Slicer] though but it sounds like it could be a good choice.

Simple question: Which totem should replace my [Totem of Splintering] when I dont want to do arenas or wait for a drop ?

Badge totem was allways crap. But how you even seriosly ask about [Venture Co. Flame Slicer]. 25damage once about 6-8s? 3-5dps! Yeah could be a good choice.

Slow, slower, shaman weapon.

I have changed from Totem of Splintering to Totem of Hex.
I have seen an improvement of about 50 dps. I think it will be even higher when switching to fast weapons.

I've read in comments that it's actually 25% and a tooltip mistake.

I have changed from Totem of Splintering to Totem of Hex.
Totem of Hex is nice, but still depends on a drop. :-/

Always? It was best in slot for the entirety of TBC and is still decently competitive against existing Lich King totems.
