Stormstrike is a definite but after that it is somewhat debatable.

Perfect conditions with 4T8 it's Feral Spirits and Windfury. With 2T9 it may be shifting to Feral Spirits and Lightning Shield. Real raid conditions aren't perfect though and the wolves have a tendency to bug out on certain encounters. When they bug out they don't respond to any commands making that glyph functionally useless. Which is why there really isn't any clearcut best glyphs for raiding enhancement. SS is the only given and after that it really depends on the encounter and on your specific gear.

Hi, got a question about enhancement dps.

According to the thread here at EJ by Vespasian. Earth Shock has higher priority than Stormstrike as long as the SS debuff is up on the target, is everything taking into account on this theory such as Stormstrike having the possibility to proc MW faster. Or for example that the SS debuff is refreshed which gives a possible lightning shield proc more damage output or another example that you used up your last SS debuff on the prioritized Earth Shock and happened to proc MWx5 during the gcd and you would do less damage with your MWx5 LB because of SS having lower priority and no debuff up at the moment.

So my question would be if all that has been taken into account when simulating the dps.

I also had one more question.
If it might be worth it to skip 2 talent points in Dual Wield Specialization (4% hit) to gain 2 more points in Reverberation.

Thank you in advance and hope it was readable.

Vespasian's thread is devoted to the notion of maximizing single target dps and since it makes use of a simulator all of those things you listed is already taken into account. It is very easy to remove ES-SS from the list making SS the default priority over ES but that causes a decrease in dps meaning that if the debuff is on the target your better option is to just hit ES.

As for Reverberation versus Dual Wield Specialization, why not just use the sim to answer your own question? Personally I would bet serious money that even in the ideal world of the Sim dual wield spec beats the tar outta reverb but that is an easy way to find out if you are that curious.

MH DPS vs. Speed?

Before I begin, I wanna preface this by saying I tried to run enh sim and can't seem to get it to work on my comp (using a mac, not sure if thats it).

We know that with the patch we go to slow/slow for weapons. My question is regarding offhand choice. At what point would we be preferring the slower speed over DPS? Is there a simple formula to follow to see where it would be more beneficial to use the slower weapon with lower DPS? Or is it really as simple as slower weapons will yield more dps, period? I did notice that when I went from using Angry Dread/Golem Shard Sticker to duel Aledar's Battlestars that my dps went up significantly, that was however bringing my weapons dps from 156/173 to 163/163. Kinda balanced them out. I'm just not sure now if it was because of the stats, the main hand dps, or the speed. Any insight?

Mainhand every 0.1 of speed is worth roughly 70EP and for offhand it's worth 35EP if that helps. Mainhand weapon dps is worth about 5.4 EP and Offhand weapon dps is worth 2.4 EP. So comparing a 1.5 dagger to a 2.6 mace means it is losing 770 EP off the bat as a mainhand and 385 EP as an offhand. To make that up it would need to be 143 dps higher in the mainhand or 160 dps higher in the offhand.

TLDR - it is never a good idea to use a fast weapon as enhancement.

This Data should be placed in a situation of a 6-8 minute fight and a fight which requires little movement(eg. Patchwerk).

For Maximum Elemental DPS in a fight:

Which one should be used in a 6-8 minute fight?

1.) Pop Elemental Mastery with Bloodlust

or

2.) Pop 2 Elemental Masteries ( 1 in the beginning and 1 at the end)

Wondering which would increase your dps and which one is the better decision

Also:

At what Haste Rating should you stop Flame Shocking/LBing with Bloodlust up.

I do more dps by LB spamming during BL than Flame Shock + LB. Heard this changes on different Haste values, please confirm/deny?

Also:

IF the above statement is true, should lava burst also be included in the LB spam since it does do more damage than LB if they both non crit

Since it is me, who is popping Bloodlust I usually use my 3 minute buffs once at the beginning and once while under the Bloodlust effect.
There little to no reason to stop casting FS and LvB during Bloodlust. The DoT is a good part of our damage, the guaranteed crit from the Lava Burst helps keeping Clearcasting up and the damage per cast time for a crit Lava Burst is always better than the Lightning Bolt one.

I think most would agree that it is usually beneficial to pop BL early, or about 5-10sec into the fight, as most of your raid's member's internal CD would be likely to activate at that point also easier for everyone plan their CDs at the beginning of fight rather than later on the fight.

I usually use FS+LvB at start of fight (as my 5-10sec before popping BL), then pop BL+Ele Mastery with CL then spam LB til LvB up again. And pop Ele Mastery again when it is back up.

I'm pretty sure spamming LB is the most beneficial since Flame Shock dot uses up around 3 seconds, and in that time you can get 2 LB's off. I have tested this out in dummies and looks like my dps does go up significantly higher LB spamming instead of using the regular rotation of FS + LavaBurst + LB.

Lightning Bolt crits for around 9.5k(max) for me and Lava burst crits for about 10.5k(max). They roughly do about same damage(but is different as you see), but one doesn't require a Flame Shock DOT to activate.

I'm about 90% sure Flame Shocking while BloodLust is up kills your dps but need someone who has done the math/experimented with it extensively to prove if this really does help.

Unfortunately, you'd be about 90% wrong.

You still want to cast FS & LvB during BL, Flame Shock dot doesn't use up 3 seconds (you'll most likely have a 1 second GCD at that point), and anecdotal dummy testing is never the best way to support an argument. Additionally, you've failed to realise that a 1 second 10.5k damage spell is going to be more dps than a 9.5k spell that takes 1.2-1.3 seconds to cast (depending on haste).

Hmm I see, so when should you stop stacking spellpower and stack haste to bring it up also? Would you ever have to stop stacking spellpower when it reaches a certain value and start stacking haste to bring overall dps higher?(if thats true)

Hypothetically, there will be a point where haste is more valuable than spellpower. What that point is, I have no idea (yet).

Conquest Badge Gear - Elemental

Does anyone think its worth buying the healer mail (with +mp5 on it) to replace Naxx level epics for elemental? I see the raw +spell power and the crit is better, but you risk losing either haste or if you downgrade to cloth/leather you end up with spirit.

I already have the helm and chest pieces, just trying to find a use for my other 50 conquest badges.

Last night on twin Valkyrs I was noticing that during Twin Pact I was not getting any MW procs. Even though the damage is being absorbed, shouldn't it still count as a melee hit? This greatly reduces our dps during that phase and risks the chance of not being able to burn fast enough to interrupt the cast.

Anyone else seeing this?

As enhancement, should I cap hit or expertise first?

Thanks.
