for some reason, shaman_hep has pushed down the values of haste, crit and intellect and boosted SP.
I have noticed an increase in the value of SP too. I have not analyzed the cause, but I believe this is due to hots being much more useful in Ulduar (they were mostly overhealing in Naxx). Earthliving_hot, Riptide_hot, and Healing Stream Totem_hot do not scale with haste or crit.
shaman_hep Healing Equivalency Point combatlog parser
I tested going with Glyph of Chain Heal, Glyph of Earth Shield and Glyph or Riptide in Ulduar25 tonight. When I died and ankhed up, my mana pool felt totally gimp without a mana regen glyph, in a perfect situation that shouldn't happen, but when working on progression it definitely does.
Our raid used a lot of group up strats tonight for the earlier bosses, so Glyph of Chain Heal suited pretty well tonight (75% hit two targets, 62% hit 3 targets, 48% hit 4 targets tonight). Other shaman may not be so lucky with their raids.

shaman_hep Healing Equivalency Point combatlog parser
I tried the Riptide-Glyph today in Ulduar 10 (Setup: 2 Druids & me) and am quite surprised by the generated report. It's the first of my reports where Haste and Crit have higher values than spellpower. I'm not really sure why, as I'm doing a lot of healing with Riptide and the respective hot, which shouldn't benefit from either stat. Could the low spellpower-coefficient of LHW be the cause? An interesting point is that the Riptide-Glyph in this case has the same HEP as the Earth-Shield-Glyph. It would be interesting to see a parse of a Riptide-Glyph combined with the T8-2-Bonus. I'm rather surprised that it really could be an upgrade to T7-4.
Tried out the Riptide glyph and was quite pleased with it as it allowed me to keep three RTs rolling almost constantly. Some of the HEP assigned to it might come from me overusing it at least in the early parts of the instance for testing purposes. It ended up at 71 HEP, just slightly below the ES glyph (clocking in at 80 HEP).

Is the first section saying I should get to 334mp5 (or other stats as indicated by the points shown above) in order to do what. Do everything ever listed in the combat log, last 5minutes? How do I value using a mana pot? In this case 334 mp5 seems really easy to hit so this shaman can just heal all day long and never care about mana. But I've seen some that say get 890 regen from gear, so I'd like to know...should I get to 600mp5(+crit -haste numbers of course) and then drink a pot to know that I'm covered up to the magic 890 number?
The second section looks awesome, I think I know exactly what to do with it... use those numbers against gear to tell me which particular 226 leg item I should equip...then collect more combat log(s) and run numbers again.
I'm just wondering... I recognize that you probably just parse the combat log and find actual returns from insightful and just report what they are. But I've never used that particular gem and recognize that it's harder to predict than some of the others. I can do my own math for Ember in a fairly straight forward manner, but for revitalizing i'd have to do a ton of math on that guy. Finding the number of crits and what 3% could mean to those crits... Does that part about meta crits in the config cover whether I'm wearing the 3% healing crit gem?
Edit: Okay, I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong. Based running a report on my current combatlog (haven't posted yet since it's less than 2 weeks' data), Insightful Earthsiege is 30.1 hep, while Ember Skyflare is 37.8 hep. The culprit seems to be this:

which is far below the theoretical ideal 100 mp5. 226 in combat procs out of 4226 heals cast is a 5.3% proc rate, so accounting for RNG the 5% stated on Wowhead seems accurate. I think my false assumption was maintaining casts every 1.5s while in combat. I considered this to be the max mana burn, and therefore the appropriate benchmark. On reflection, this was a bad decision.
In response to your question, I do on occasion find myself mana-starved -- after ankh or accepting a druid's battle rez. Does the 20+ mp5 from the Insightful meta in that situation offset the higher overall throughput the Ember Skyflare offers? (I get the same INT from both with my current gear.) Probably not, but the gems are close enough in value I think I'll keep my current meta until I upgrade my helm and need a new meta anyway.

Seems to me that your knee-jerk reaction to what meta is best is based completely on nothingness. I'd like to base my meta gem decisions on data. So I made a small request.

Towards the top of the report you will find information on what was found to be the most mana intense fight. There are configuration options that can adjust which fight is determined to be the most intense (for example if you have low water shield uptime on a particular fight that could be found to be the most mana intense).
Mana pots are not included in scoring mp5. If anyone wants to gear for assuming you mana pot let me know and I will make it a configuration option.
Shaman have very different mana needs depending on play style and raid buffs so I recommend gathering your own combatlogs to see what your mana regen needs are.
I don't know if it should be considered a bug or not as it was an intentional decision, but if you die shaman_hep does not currently treat that as using whatever mana you had left at that point. I did not want to gear based on assuming no mana pool from death, but I probably should make it an option for those that want to know how they should gear for fights where they are dying a lot. To me it just doesn't make sense to gear assuming you are going to die though.

I am currently using the [Ember Skyflare Diamond] but I am wondering if [Revitalizing Skyflare Diamond] would come out to a higher HEP value. The only other choice would be the [Beaming Earthsiege Diamond] but I don't see a way to model/test these last two. Any thoughts on how to model a comparison between these diamonds?

[Revitalizing Skyflare Diamond] I do not think I could accurately model unless you are wearing it and then I can tell you how much HEP value you got from it.

For the report being in English it's not that much of a problem, it's easy to get even if you pretty knows nothing at it. So if it troubles you to translate it you could just put it aside for later, when you'll be bored and would like to do something to occupy your freetime.
But if you need a hand for translating it, you can always send me things to translate and I'll do the job for the French version (for the other ones I'll have to stay aside as I don't speak an only word of German except some unnice ones which won't be in the report for what I know).
I ran your (great!) program on 2 logs from last week (3 actually. but the Yoggy wipes were.... uninteresting ^^) and noticed 2 issues. Dalaran Brilliance seems unrecognized and General Vezax screws the values up.
DB shows as 86% up on WWS but your report claims "Arcane Int/Brilliance/Fel Int uptime: 4 mins 9 secs (3.36%)".
Vezax disables all mana regeneration and therefore skews the value of mp5. You'll see a much lower value on mp5 in my log that includes Vezax. Maybe try to ignore him somehow? Could just be an anomaly in my healing of course, but it seems logical that it's Vezax' fault

I ran your (great!) program on 2 logs from last week (3 actually. but the Yoggy wipes were.... uninteresting ^^) and noticed 2 issues. Dalaran Brilliance seems unrecognized and General Vezax screws the values up.
DB shows as 86% up on WWS but your report claims "Arcane Int/Brilliance/Fel Int uptime: 4 mins 9 secs (3.36%)".
Vezax disables all mana regeneration and therefore skews the value of mp5. You'll see a much lower value on mp5 in my log that includes Vezax. Maybe try to ignore him somehow? Could just be an anomaly in my healing of course, but it seems logical that it's Vezax' fault
You are correct that Dalaran Brilliance is not currently recognized and the only difference between that and the Arcane Brilliance spell is visual. Adding that to list for next release.
Vezax should not currently be picked as the most mana intense fight unless the log only contains a lot of Vezax fights or you do not use many saronite vapors. Mana regen does not work for Vezax so there is no reason to have it picked as the most mana intense. If you did not use saronite vapors and it did pick Vezax it would increase the value of mp5, not decrease it. At the top of the report there is "Start Time" in the most mana intense fight report, you can see what fight started at that time to see what was picked as the most mana intense fight.
Based on your two reports you should not have mana problems if you stay alive and wear at least 501.95 mp5 points of mana regen using these values:
We just had a terrible raid night that ended in multiple wipes on Vezax. Even though we killed Freya and Mimi before, the program picked Vezax as the most mana intensive fight and the mp5 evaluation went fubar as expected. "1 mp5 = 0.0646 (calculated)"
But maybe I just shouldn't use logs like that for evaluation

We just had a terrible raid night that ended in multiple wipes on Vezax. Even though we killed Freya and Mimi before, the program picked Vezax as the most mana intensive fight and the mp5 evaluation went fubar as expected. "1 mp5 = 0.0646 (calculated)"
But maybe I just shouldn't use logs like that for evaluation
Anyway, log is below just in case it's useful for you.
The only reason I can think of why such a low mp5 would be picked is if most fights in the combatlog are not meeting the requirements set in your configuration file.
