Im not suggesting this is a viable gear setup nor do i advice anyone to raid with it im merely having fun with some gear sets and setbonuses and would like to hear if anyone else have tried anything similar and have some numbers to post.



So i have been playing around with my old T6 skyshatter gear and come to some intresting conclusions.

Using 4 piece Conquerors worldbreaker armor and skyhatter boots, belt, bracer and shoulder we should be able to utilize all 4 setbonuses of the sets.

Comparing to the gear i am using now with skyshatter the differance isnt that huge statwise allthough that will climb ones i get some more hardmode loot from ulduar.

The peices i used for comparison are these;

Eruption scarred boots Vs skyshatter boots
Bands of mutual respect Vs SKyshatter bands
Belt of the fallen wyrm Vs Skyshatter cord
Valorous worldbreaker shoulderpads Vs Skyshatter Mantle.

The reason i picked the mantle was because it has 2 sockets as opposed to T8 shoulders 1 socket.

The total stat loss is:
-96 sp
-81 crit
-106 haste
+11 hit

However if we take in to account the 2 set bonus of skyshatter we get:
-51 spellpower
-46 crit rating
-106 haste
+11 hit

Suddenly the stat drop seems almost not that bad allthogh the haste loss will still hurt i wiill still be able to sit on some 478 haste rating.

The real kicker of this is the skyshatter 4 set bonus which gives 5% extra damage on lighting bolt which will scale amazingly while addiing to the T8 Bonus.

Unfortunately the T6 boots eluded me during all those long hours wiping in SWP due to new shamans needing 4 set bonus etc so i havent been able to test this out properly. In my tests i am forced to use the skyshatter chest which breaks my T8 bonus.
Initial tests on the level 80 target dummy are showing a lot of promise considering im not using any JC prismatic gems in my t6 gear which further lowers my dps. I am still hoever comfortably managing 4k+ dps selfbuffed with no bl which isnt that far behind what i manage in full T8.

Im goning to try and get a SWP pug togheter and secure me a pair of boots and test it out on a long fight such as XT 10 man hardmode to see what kind of damage i can produce with it.
