Did a lil dummy research, since I've seen this question asked alot. Even though out DoT's don't clip anymore, from an interval standpoint, if you refresh the Bane of Agony right before the last tick, the damage will reset. That "final" tick from the first cast will end up doing equivalent damage to the first tick of a freshly cast BoA.

Also, whats the consensus on affliction gylphs? Haunt is a given I assume, but what other two would we pick up, out of Corruption/BoA/Lash of Pain/UA? Anyone seen any math on them?

This may seem a little off beat but it is an honest question I wanted to run by people.

For Affliction, at this point, why still use BoA instead of now using BoD?

Doom has always been more DPS then Agony for the other 2 trees, but Affliction used Agony based on the fact that there were talents that specifically buffed Agony and not Doom.

Doom as always been a DoT, that ticks once after 1 min. Now it is a DoT that ticks once every 15 seconds (0 haste) and has a chance to summon a demon that does extra dps.

Should we be using Doom now and if not, why?

No we shouldn't use doom because Blizzard has made BoD an exception (ie: all of afflictions + dot effects do not effect it, only demon soul->fel hunter effects it).

Affliction talent spec link isnt working for me. Talent spec: WoW Talent Calculator - Sigrie: WoW Talent Calculator - Sigrie

It just opens an empty spec page with the message: "Please select a class from the above menu."

Apologies if its an issue from my end.

Maybe , but you must do an heavy reforging . If you wanna use 2 specs , for example demonology and affliction , or destruction and affliction you can mantain the same gear , and you have not to reforge lots of stats in favour of mastery.

On the contrary to have the right gear for DL affli spec you must reforge every time you switch spec to maximize dps .

When searing pain spam was doing 10k dps by itself on a training dummy I knew it was only a matter of time before a nerf, LOL. It is now doing 4-5k dps when spammed by itself. I'm not seeing a delay between casts using firebolt on autocast. I macroed this to my incinerate and saw no difference. The firebolt spell icon visibly lit up as if I were clicking it, but my imp would not cast firebolt. He just kinda stood there making noises. The spellqueueing wasnt fixed after ulduar (though it was improved), I tested it out during beta, and it was broken then. I must admit I hadven't re-tested it on live.

i.e. for Chest we have +10Stats should we change that with +20Intellect?

There is no such enchant as +20 Int to chest.

First, thanks for all of the excellent info in this thread and elsewhere.

Second, one comment/question about the paragraph below.

Hopefully blizz slows down on the updates, so you can rest and enjoy the changes, and we can all catch up on the state of the (demonic) union.

1. Is it better to spam something else durning heroic/bloodlust, since well inci is way below GCD cap with BD up
2. Is glyph of chaos bolt any good?
Anyone tested any of these?

Thanks for all the hard work you all put into this forum, cleared up lot up for a many warlocks.

For destro locks, am i correct if we cast only 1 soulfire per 15 secs (when target is between 100% adn 80%) to keep up the imp. SF buff and fill with incinerates when all dots are up.

Do we still spec into 2/2 Improved Searing Pain since it got nerfed and don't use Sp at all in our rotation anymore.
Seems like Aftermath or Backlash could have better use in raids (ofc not to up our dps but still it could come in handy) prio to imp. SP which we wont be using anyway.

And last did anyone come across a working addon than can keep track of the improved soulfire buff ?
I used to have power Aura's to keep track of my procs and such but it doesn't seem to work anymore

Sorry if I'm missing the point here, but I really feel the need to ask this.
Won't the fact that Shadowflame has suddenly been injected into our rotations mean that we potentially endanger ourselves by going into melee range just to use it? Also won't the time it takes you moving from long range to short range imply a loss in DPS?
I really don't see why it should be employed outside PvP. Please shed some enlightment on this.
