Is there an opportunity to add a line with "hand of gul'dan" for the destruction and affliction profile or have I just overseen it? If so than my post will be obsolete but I can't find any kind of buff for this.
If it is indeed not implemented: It seems that you gain an additional 10% pet critical chance with any demonology warlock in your raid. Considering this, the affliction and destruction profiles may need an update.

Why the chart with the mana timeline shows wrong value of a mana?
In a raid I have about 95k+ mana with all buffs before pulling a boss, but SimulationCraft shows 89400.

Why is it that Bane of Doom is below Corruption and UA in SimulationCraft priority list when it's DPET is twice of those spells? And why is this priority giving better DPS in SimulationCraft? I am not sure which priority system is better; the one in SimulationCraft or the one in Affliction thread.

Just as a quick side, the Succubus only casts Whiplash automatically when she is targetted by a mob and they start meleeing on her. It's like her own defensive spell to get range between her and the mob.

Firstly, the DPET of Corruption is (because of Everlasting Affliction) much greater than that of BoD, indeed because it is refreshed by another ability it is essentially infinite and meaningless, hence it is generally excluded from the graphical DPET displays.
To answer the question though: BoD can be refreshed any time within 15 seconds of the end of its duration without adverse clipping, but you have a much smaller window to properly refresh UA. Essentially, as long as you get round to it in the 15 second window, it doesn't matter where BoD is in the priority list and this shouldn't be taken as an undervaluing of it's DPET. Indeed it may be possible to push it lower in the priority list without negatively effecting its uptime.
The intention for the priority list is to get the best dps from the list as a whole, and while a "greedy" algorithm (i.e. always use the highest DPET ability available before any lower DPET ability) might produce a reasonable result, the opportunity cost of using an ability may mean that using a lower DPET ability first actually results in better overall performance. The Simcract DPET measure also doesn't take any side-effects of an ability into account.

On Halfus, for example, you want splash AoE while the whelps and whichever drakes you intend to kill are up, but as soon as you move onto Halfus himself it's essentially a single-target burn fight. If you want to switch to the Succubus at this point then you really need to glyph her because it's a huge bonus to her damage, which precludes the use of the Legion Strike glyph, but if in 4.1 we can switch to the Felhunter instead then we can glyph for Legion Strike.
You imply that "hybrid single-target/AoE glyph choice" is a stupid aim, and if there were true "AoE fights" then you might be right, but there aren't: there are only pure single-target fights and fights with both single-target and AoE phases.
|
I did not mean to imply it was a stupid aim at all, I was just trying to understand your point. The problem is that the Felguard glyph only affects the Felguard and the Lash of Pain glyph only has any effect if you have the Succubus out obviously.
What I meant to say is that I don't see much difference between using the Felhunter or the Succubus for best single-target damage, even if you don't need a specific pet glyph for the former. If AoE/splash damage is important, you'll use the Felguard glyph and the Felguard. If not, you'll switch the glyph for something else, be it Lash of Pain if you are going to use the Succubus or possibly Incinerate if you are using the Felhunter.
Why keep the Felguard glyph if you are going to use another pet full time? You'd be totally wasting a prime glyph slot. And I don't find that unreasonable since the cost of swapping a single glyph is lower than 10g, you spend much more than that in pots for progression fights.
If, on the other hand, you intend to swap pets mid-fight, say pull out the Felhunter in Maloriak final phase when you don't need AoE anymore, then you may have a point. One would have to weigh the benefits of higher pet damage vs, for example, a weaker Demon Soul effect and a wasted glyph in an important single-target burn phase like that.

Yes, this is exactly what he means. Using Felguard any time a sizeable amount of adds are present (and, by extension, Demon Soul is up) and using the Succubus (Felhunter, post patch) for the rest of the encounter.

First, sorry for my bad english (not my language =/)
Then I'm asking myself something about the change on DI.
With this change..
Is it possible now to give our DI to another Warlock ?
We already know that the 3% haste is cumulative.
Now that we have a 3 time 3% dammage on us and a 3 time 1% dammage on our target.. Maybe the buff aren't exclusive anymore !
I can't go on PTR now to check it...
But if it work like that, simulationCraft should be edited to have another DI or not ?!

Drain Life in Affliction Spec
Looking at the current PTR sims, there is only a few percent difference in DPET between shadow bolt in affliction and drain life in the affliction drain specs. Given that drain life scales better than shadow bolt in either spec and the additional nightfall procs, it should be worthwhile to use drain life as filler even in the affliction spec once shadow bolt has been used to stack shadow embrace. I'm not quite sure how to best implement this in the sims, especially for use in the helter skelter mode though.

Even on Live, using my gear set with the Aff Sbolt talent spread, simcraft gives me higher DPS using Drain Life filler (switch to Sbolt during Demon Soul: Succubus).
I used this priority list and gained about 200 DPS:
0 flask,type=draconic_mind
1 food,type=seafood_magnifique_feast
2 fel_armor
3 summon_succubus
4 dark_intent
5 snapshot_stats
6 volcanic_potion,if=buff.bloodlust.react|!in_combat|target.health_pct<=20
7 corruption,if=(!ticking|remains<tick_time)&miss_react
8 unstable_affliction,if=(!ticking|remains<(cast_time+tick_time))&target.time_to_die>=5&miss_react
9 bane_of_doom,if=target.time_to_die>15&!ticking&miss_react
A haunt
B fel_flame,if=buff.tier11_4pc_caster.react&dot.unstable_affliction.remains<8
C summon_infernal
D drain_soul,interrupt=1,if=target.health_pct<=25
E shadowflame
F life_tap,mana_percentage<=35
G soulburn
H soul_fire,if=buff.soulburn.up
I demon_soul
J shadow_bolt,if=buff.shadow_trance.react
K shadow_bolt,if=buff.demon_soul_succubus.react
L drain_life
M life_tap,moving=1,if=mana_pct<80&mana_pct<target.health_pct
N fel_flame,moving=1
O life_tap
However, I wasn't sure how useful this is. The issues with DL rotation are still there, and it's still better DPS on a patchwerk fight to spec into Mana Feed. I guess it just shows that you can switch between Sbolt and Drain Life mid-combat without losing DPS (outside of latency/error).

Hi again.
Tests have been made by a friend of mine.
Now we can't stack DI anymore.
Given a Warlock1 and a Warlock2.
-> W1 buff W2 (W1 stack are 3 times 3% W2 stack are 3 times 1% both have 3% haste)
then
-> W2 buff W1, W1 buff is refreshed !!! (W1 stacks are 3 times 1% W2 stack are 3 times 3% both have "ONLY" 3% haste)

I tried to figure how the Felhunter "new" shadow bite (double damage on PTR) will affect Demonology, using Warlock_Demonology_T11_359_PTR I got: - 22574 DPS using Felguard (w/ Glyph)
- 24011 DPS using Succubus (w/ Glyph)
- 24439 DPS using Felhunter (using Incinerate Glyph)
Can Felhunter be viable as Demonology for single-target, can someone confirm that?
Edit:
I'll try to explain my question better, in 4.1 using Felhunter as pet will give a sort of "improved Mana Feed", 16% total mana every pet's critical, that mean in theory, less lifetapping, plus giving the raid the Fel Intelligence (someway valuable in 10man if you miss some classes), an interrupt, and an offensive dispel, so I'm asking if the Succubus should still be the demon of choice considering it give almost any utility in boss fight.
I hope that clarify what I mean.

Is there a way to avoid having to close/restart SimCraft once I've already imported and simulated my character via Armory. Sorry, it's a difficult question to word, but I hope someone has an answer for me.

I belive you mean that you cant simulate twice on the same imported character from armory. I couldnt do it ether so instead of restarting it jsut reimport your char and then you will be able to sim. it again.

Has anyone tested the difference between Therallion's Mirror and Bell of Enraging Resonance? I have reason to believe the proc on Therallion's mirror, when timed with meta, does higher DPS, but I wanted to see if anyone can confirm that.
Edit: Has anyone tested Soul Casket?
