From the beta class thread...

The racial discussion is a huge morass, by which I mean that if I wade into it, it's going to dominate all of the discussion in this thread. Suffice to say in this case that we think the world has changed enough that 5% pet damage went from kinda of a big deal to a really big deal, so we reduced it to 2% pet damage. We want Forsaken warlocks to exist.
So the orc racial is going to 2% damage, down from 5.

Is harvest life modeled correctly in the sim? The damage it does is ~40% less then the tooltip, which puts it below hellfire. Does the extra 10 fury a second override the initial damage loss?

No idea what's up with the tooltip, but I just verified that the sim's assumptions about the damage are correct.

It should be a small improvement to the Affliction rotation to cast Haunt only when Agony has 10 stacks and when you can channel MG/Drain Soul for the full duration of the debuff without dropping any DoTs of course.
The extra ticks profit from Haunt being active for the actual DoT. The extra tick self is not affected by Haunt so no double dipping.
Ten stacks of agony should have almost no visible effect in the sim for one target as this only happen once at the beginning. But with multiple targets there might be an effect.

I tried to sim it using the PreRaid profile but adding &debuff.agony.remains>10 to both lines for triggering haunt, somehow made sim using agony 80% of the time and stopping with the error "Unkown Referrence to Buff/Debuff agony by player Warlock_Affliction_PreRaid" after 1 iteration. I have the feeling I miss something very obvious synthax wise. My changes are marked in bold.

As far as I know you can't refer to agony as a debuff but as a dot.
I try to explain myself better: you are using "debuff.agony" while you should use "dot.agony", furthermore the simulator don't support any properties regarding dots stack, so I'm not sure if what you are trying to do is possible at the moment.

Thanks that helped.

The sims I ran, were mostly a damage loss. The problem seemed to be, that it is almost impossible to align all dots proberly so you can cast MG two times without dropping one dot afterwards. During execute it is an even more obvious damage loss as one would cap on Soul Shards.

Grimoire of sacrifice should now be better for demo than grimoire of service (only did some napkin math on this since the simc downloadable version is not up to date)

It is by about 1.4k dps but I hardly doubt that's gonna stay...

/edit: If you dont switch into Meta to refresh Corr, you end up with more fury during DS and effectively increasing your DPS (about 1.7k).
This is due to 2pt14 I assume and true for GoSac and GoServ.

Don't know about Sims but it's possible on live with 'human' logic, and I do it. Not sure if it's better but my experience tells me it should be better, considering Haunt is no longer a cooldown but something you can pool.

Agony is usually long enough, I refresh Unstable Affliction and Corruption together when they are below the half or just one of them if the other is long enough, cast a Haunt and I can push two Malefic Grasps without an issue. Even more if needed but it's usually not.

However that implies I won't be refreshing Unstable Affliction at half of it's duration but somewhere later near its end. No idea what would be required to simulate this, as far as I can see currently they are auto refreshed after 50% duration but for my trick to work you need to postpone the refresh a bit.

I haven't tried it ingame yet, but according to the newest release of simc destruction with supremacy+succubus(aka shivarra) trumps destruction+service by around 7k dps, going upto around 111k on a default patchwerk fight. Its a tad better for affliction aswell - around 600 gain to be exact. No other changes that were posted a page or two here to destro's/demo's profiles were used and or tried yet.

Has SimCraft been updated to re-add the ToC extending Corruption logic since it was fixed after the Pandemic change? I change the cancel_metamorphosis action back to corruption.duration>20 that it had before and the sim ends up not using the action at all.

I gave the whole HauntMGMG idea another try and ended up with this, which put my arround 100dps behind the PreRaid-Profile and arround 500dps ahead of the T14H using 504-3. On a side note: The affliction profiles need an update on how they are reforged as currently they use haste>crit>mastery, but that seems to be a minor problem to me as it my shift again anyway.

Confirming this - simmed it for Destruction and gained around 7k dps.
